- I don't usually do extended versions of songs, and of course I don't consider myself an expert on the subject. One day I was bored at home, then I was given to make a version Boss type for Darth Revan, because in the game when you fight against him in "The Foundry" the game doesn' t leave a music of that type for him. Anyway, if you like, good, but if that's not the case... well, It's all the same to me hahaha xD

Despite how the story in SWTOR played out, deep down I believe Revan is the only one who even stands a fair chance against Vitiate one-on-one. Besides, our player character clearly had A LOT of help beating Valkorion and Revan. We may be scripted to be "special", but Revan and Vitiate are on a whole different level.

Revan and the Exile should have definitely been the ones to defeat him. Revan being the one to finish him off and setting up the prophecy of the chosen one. Instead, they both get an anti-climactic ending that just serves as marketing for the MMO and it's uninteresting hero and empire.

Dr. Scarlet I can totally see why Dinsey wanted to make a fresh start with a new Canon. It would be hard to develop new stories in a place with decades' worth of existing work.
Either way, even though that change moved all of that material to Legends, i think that with time, the new Canon will be just as rich as the old one. They have even reintroduced Revan and other Sith Lords into canon throuh the Sith Troopers in Episode IX.
Sith Troopers, being part of the cult of the Sith Eternal, were taught to revere the Dark Side and the legacy and history of the Sith. Their legions were as a result named after ancient Sith lords. The 3rd Legion, for example, was named after Revan, and others were named after Sith Lords Tenebrous, Andeddu, Phobos, and Desolous.
So a lot of these figures which untill now only existed in Legends are back into Canon. Yes, currently most of them are only names of Sith Trooper legions, but that just means that their story possibilities are endless. Now that Revan and others are back i believe that it is nothing but a matter of time before they get developed
@@ProfessorPotatoPhD and yet they completely fucked the physics of the universe. Hyperdrive, space, lightsabers, and lets not forget the mary sue of the room, Rey. The only thing that was added so far that I could see as a genuine addition is the new force ability luke showed off..
Before dying. I get people want a fresh start, but thongs like that can be done with already existing events. The prequel trilogy took place before the main trilogy, with more additions occuring before that. We have the future events that could be brought to picture, we could have a new trilogy that takes place after the main one while still including the old, which satisfies both new and old fans. The new movies making references and such could have new fans check out the whole thing, grow to enjoy it, and want to see what these directors could add.
Star wars had one of the most massive story universes, expanding from movies, to tv shows, to games, and to books. Not alot of franchises can say the same thing. Its expansive universe is what kept people drawn to it. Its lore, its worlds, its characters, everything about the SWEU is what kept people returning, speculating, wanting more. And just taking all of that and listing it as 'non canon' removes a HUGE number of their fans and customers. In removing the EU, they had huge amounts of their viewers drop the franchise all together, no longer going to view the new stuff, sticking with the old and refusing to see the new stuff. In trying to have a fresh start, they alienated almost their entire audience, and lost what good start they could have had.
Its not impossible to develope new stories from existing material, especially if you put the effort into it. KOTOR, SWTOR, and even the Prequels were made, rogue one was made, The Clone Wars was made(twice I might add!), Rebels, so many new stories have been made for it, some smaller ones even existing in previously mentioned ones.
They wanted to continue the main trilogy and pick up where it left off? Ok, why did they have to remove so much potential and good content just to make it? A sequel trilogy is already a new story and fresh start, we don't know what happened after palpatine died, and we wanted to know. Why did decades of good content and good memories have to be order 66'd just to get it? Why bring a mary sue in when nobody asked for it, why mess with perfectly good physics and completely make even the og trilogy completely pointless? If a sheep in hyperdrive could decimate a fleet, why not hyperdrive manless ships into your enemies? Why not just build literal giant metal bullets and hyperdrive them into an enemy fleet, or even a planet? If objects can fall like they still have gravity in space, why is floating aimlessly still a thing? Lightsabers can bounce back between harmless and deadly without even a switch flip or dial like before? Pointless royal guards, pointless ships, pointless weapons, pointless physics, its literally a trashy fanfiction.

@@ProfessorPotatoPhD They don't wished for fresh start with new stories, they wished for "magic", and universe of they own creation, containing their own vision and laws (B-17 carpet runs... lol), and for that, foundations of old was deemed necessary to be abolished, and scraped.
The same goes for old force users philosophy, force itself, powers, and fore most the heroes, especially enormous figures like Revan, or female characters like Kreia... after all Rey is a shallow, trash character compared to philosophyst like Kreia.
That is entire reason about this decision, nothing else... its called, envy and/or corruption if im correct;).
All good Revan's been mentioned atleast and a bunch of old republic era books are coming and one of the Jedi on the cover looks like Revan before he became a Sith... lots of STRONG rumors from Disney HQ peeps that state a Revan series or movies are in thought too so im holding out hope.

I refuse to believe that 4 random sith defeated Revan. KOTOR 3 should’ve been made and that’s where Revan’s story should’ve ended. With you and Surik defeating the emperor.
Agreed. To me there is only 1 KOTOR. Not saying 2 was bad it had a good story but Revan wasn’t even really in it. I wish that if there was a movie the first KOTOR was put into 3 parts. I really wish that the movie the last Jedi would have had Luke training a descendent of Revan and Bastila. When Ray shows up Luke would tell Ray but be keeping it a secret from his apprentice. But it would be awesome to have a Jedi that was a gray instead of just light or dark for once.
There was not a simple team nor where there 4 random sith, there was darth nox (or soon to be) from the dark council, the new emperor wrath (who killed the voice of the emperor, which is a being posesed directly by the emperor), the best cypher agent of the empire and the best bounty hunter of that year great hunt tournament (where actual mandalorians compete). Not to mention he was keept alive unaturally so after those many years he was probably not at his full power.
Thing is, he was NOT killed by them
NeidalRuekk Yeah he was killed... but his dark side refused to die thus separating his spirit (light side) from his body (dark side) that's why there are two revans on shadow of revan expansion.

A truly epic theme for an amazing character my favorite character in all of Star Wars even tho I wasn’t a fan of SWTOR
I haven't even played Kotor, but play now SWTOR.
And yeah, even for me, Revan was done dirty. Expect his theme which sounds both heroic and villain. Ultimate balance.
@@user-zc9ic6zo5u yes I think both revan and the Jedi exile from KOTOR 2 were treated poorly as characters in both the novel and SWTOR. That’s why I wish we could’ve gotten obsidians KOTOR 3 instead to properly finish the trilogies

The funny thing is, if we would’ve fought against our player character from the first KOTOR, our swtor characters shouldn’t have stood a chance. Instead, swtor nerfed the pc into being an npc. Still a boss, but again, an npc.
@Commander Cody Mmos dont mean you win every battle just cause you survive. Or the story continues. Swtor were retarded. Revan for 350+ years holds Valkorian at bay WITHIN stasis prison. And their logic is their hero can beat Revan while hes concious and at full power. Ok sure. "Revan is the heart of the force- a hurricane" Revan should have A become a companion after the fight or rendered you unconscious and disappeared again.
I think that battle solo was absurdly difficult for how useless he actually was
@@Reiles_Cole You forget that Revan is Alone when we fight him and our character has many powerfull companion and allies with him. I would agree that the outcome would not make sense if it was 1vs1 but that is not the case and his ennemies are not just powerfull, they are numerous.
Story wise it made more sense that our character in this storyline is either the Sith warrior (empire's wrath) or the Jedi knight (the hero of tython) both of these are among the strongest of their respective order. They are accompanied by Darth Marr, not only is he a member of the dark council, he manage to survive being there and is basically the unnoficial leader of the Sith empire after the vanilla content. There is also Satele shan, grandmaster of the Jedi order at the time of SWTOR, at worst she is the second or third most powerful Jedi of her time.
Then there's also Lana Beniko a powerfull Sith lord, theron Shan one of the greatest republic agent of the period, Jakarro a mighty and gigantic wookie warrior while not forgetting Shae Vizla that would become the future Mandalore.
Revan is alone fighting 7 opponents that are extremly powerfull in their own right, and even then it wasn't an easy fight. The outcome of this confrontation make sense for the most part in terms of power level, Revan loses but that does not mean he is weak, he is just outnumbered by powerful individual facing him.
@Commander Cody valkorian is fucking thousands of years old. Hes dead ass a rip pff of a character I fanmade before him too. Just saying age doesnt make the story shit. The writers did.
@@femtoservants that don't matter. Revan held off valkorian who was "all powerful" Revan is powerful as fuck. He shouldbnt have had any problems wiping all of the companions and your character out. But thats also my opinion based on his storytelling

@cod My idea is, finding the mask would reawaken some memories laid dormant by the force and Anakin would realize he was the reincarnation of Revan. Then he would take his armies, seize control of the Republic, kill palatine and basically do Revan things. But with a Anakin twist.

If I'm honest with you, I find it difficult for Disney to do something "great" with the old republic with everything we see these years. For me the last good thing I saw in Star Wars in terms of films is Rogue One. Then, the third trilogy arrived and well, we already know how it ended 🤦♂️
