@@Killdeer25 there are so many BTS songs you haven't even really , lol I don't even know what I'm gonna say..Theres a lot 🤣..And a majority of us really love these type of songs ones that are hidden gems💜
I think you nailed it with the 60s/70s vibe comment. It reminds me so much of the feel of Age Of Aquarius. 134340 Pluto was one of the first songs where tbh I really felt jealous of their imagination and ability to turn just about anything into an image of something completely different and still make it so meaningful. 😅 Another great example of that is Whalien 52 (the song ARMY got our whale spirit animal from) where they use a real marine biology anomali to describe the first years of BTS. Like, who else reads a story like that and thinks "that's a great analogy"?!? 👀 💜
Yes yes yes they are a group of talented, intelligent, musicial and empathic young men you only see once in a life time. The fact that they all came from different place's and came together is also a once in a life time happening.
I really like this song. I have a feeling RM had a lot of writing in this. Who else writes a love song, but it's actually about a former planet? Thanks for the reaction, as always.
It seems like he did. Out of the 8 songwriters credited on this song, RM is listed 4th so he contributed a significant amount. Esp since his writing DNA seems to be all over this song. It's just the sort of concept he'd have fun with
Pluto being downgraded from planet status mirrors BTS' relationship with the music industry. Told they weren't real rappers because they didn't fit the criteria, they were denigragraded as "not real artists". With this song they declare that they love the sun (music) too much to escape it's gravitational force. As Shakespeare said: "what's in a name?"... Pluto being renamed as just a number didn't change its existence. BTS being ostracized by the hip hop community didn't change their drive to do hip hop. This song is a brilliantly disguised diss track.
@@Killdeer25 Another song called Whalien (whale + alien) 52 is another clever song about this lonely whale whose voice is so different (very high pitch in real) that no other kind of whales can hear or can communicate. If you hear the lyrics you will understand how BTS felt themselves around that period of time from the industries as if they were like this whale. You will notice there are some very high pitch sound mimicking this whale sound especially towards the end part of the song.
@@Killdeer25 BTS weren't quite welcomed by Kpop either. Mostly because they aren't part of Big 3, and they don't look nor act like proper idols. Back on MAMA 2019 in kpop award show. When the screen shows the list of artist who's contesting for the "Artist of the Year" "Album of the Year", etc. The screen showed the group's title. In EXO (a group made by one of the big 3) Their title is "BEST OF BEST" & "Most LOVED Kpop group" (Take note during this time BTS is already not just the biggest Kpop act but the biggest band in the World). While the rest groups are titled "Trendsetter" "Groundbreaking" etc. BTS title on the other hand is "Who will break their record?" And I was like, is the award show implying BTS aren't the best & aren't the most loved Kpop group? BTS being the best is subjective, however it's an undeniable fact that they are biggest Kpop band in the world & of all time. So them not having the most loved Kpop group title just doesnt make any sense. The only logical explanation I can think of, is that the award show purposely excluded BTS from Kpop or they just pretended BTS doesn't exist. Either way the disrespect is insane. BTS literally popularized Kpop globally, yet that's what they get? "Who will break their record?" What kind of title is that? It's literally like asking who's the next Kpop act that can replace them? Like those countless kpop articles that says "who will become the NEXT BTS?" Those articles would completely make sense if BTS is no longer active, & is taking a break, the Kpop want to find the next big one, but clearly it wasn't the case since in 2019 BTS is still alive & kickin' In simpler words, the Kpop Industry doesn't seem to welcome BTS & they seem to can't wait to replace them.
Thank you!!! I was a kid in Italy in the early '70 and bossa nova was really popular at that time ❤ was exactly thinking of influences of bossa nova and maybe it reminds me also of Jethro Tull
I love this type of songs from them, using a unique metaphor for love. Sometimes they use the most ordinary objects, like house of cards, autumm leaves, seesaw, but they make the most interesting songs. 6:22 - You can actually see their process of making an album for "BE". For this pandemic album, they livestreamed some of the process. Their initial meeting is the one I find most fascinating. They decided on the main themes, the number of songs including the number of unit songs, the possible keywords for the songs.
@@Killdeer25 Thank you I've not heard that said for a long time but it's something an elderly gentleman at church often said when I was about 16years old, so a few years ago now.
I really like you're reacting to less mainstream songs, they have amazing songs that most reactors and general public just ignore because they are from the first albums of because they are not as popular in UA-cam or streaming platforms, Whalien 52 has moving lyrics, 2!3! first song for Army, With Seoul and Come back home, that nobody seems to know them, Waste it on me, actual first song to be completely in English, which has an MV (without BTS) and a lyrics song, also produce by Steve Aoki, and many many more. I feel sad for the Army and people who don't know their less popular songs, they are true gems
I think that this was one of the cooler of recommendations I got, this was recommended to me on the video about change, and so I knew this was one that I had to check it out, I actually dont mind going off course a little bit, the whole idea is to listen to music, numbers is neither here or there, as long as the people that watch it like it. I love doing these kinds of songs
waste it on me didn't get what it deserved for the same reason Benny Blanco's never did as much, BTS has to be in their songs videos. Proof, blanco's song ( the name is escaping me), A ARMY put that song to BTS dancing Boy with love. It got more views than the actual MV.
@@LPnerd You're absolutely right, unfortunately some people don't support BTS just because they are not in the videos which is a shame because they deserve support despite their visuals as they are wonderful song writers, singers and artists in general.
