Chicago was seriously such an epic stop! We are for sure going back. Panic attacks suck! I like to sometimes show them because it’s important to make them “normal”. So many people suffer from them and most people want to pretend they don’t exist. But those of us who have them as their reality, wish they didn’t exist.
I love watching your adventures, I suffer with anxiety and don’t leave the house to much, I suffer with autoimmune issues as well. Please stay safe, the world is changing, please watch your children…❤️

Fun to see you all enjoying Chicago. I've never seen a travel show go to Oz Park. You visited some really cool, local places: eg Oz Park, Pequods and Chinatown. I didn't want to get negative and scare you all but when you said you were staying in McCormick Place I was concerned for you all. I was praying to the powers that be to look over you. Crime has gotten out of hand and overall feeling here is anxiety-inducing. You have to be careful and hope that no one decides to start shooting for the hell of it, or decide to conk you on the head and rob you. Right now it seems no matter where you go or time of day you aren't safe. It is angering and sad as hell, but if you had a good time and nothing happened then that is good!!!! That is life. It's all a risk and better to live than cower in fear as you prove!!

Chicago is a fabulous place and so glad you guys enjoyed your visit! My son graduated from Columbia with a Musical Theater degree so we visited (from GA) Chicago 3x while he was in college and I hope to go back some day. I was hoping you would list the 2 places you went to eat in China town because the food looked soooo good! If I had known you were stopping in Chicago, I would have suggested Kyle (since loves to cook) stop at OldTowne (different balsamic vinegars) and The Spice Shop (cool to smell all the spices and selection is enormous). Sorry you dealt with your PTSD while you were there! Thank you for sharing your fun filled trip! Enjoyed watching!

The sushi restaurant with the robot waiters was so cool. I've heard about Chicago's famous pizzas....They looked so good. Loved the Dorothy and Toto statue. The Chinese food looked delicious. We have visited all the same places this year... this summer we went to Chicago. I actually stayed in a nice little campground about 25 minutes away, but it wasn't really set up for much more than a popup. I avoided the boondocking lot because I read reviews where they were charging for the truck separately than the camper and I refused to pay $40 night to boondock, but then I didn't know how much that downtown parking was going to be for a conference I went to.
We had a really great time at the parking lot, we reserved our space online and they didn’t make us pay for towing the Jeep. Overall, we felt really safe there and didn’t come across any problems. We would for sure stay there again ♥️♥️ We saw y’all camping in Norris! We wanted to come say hi, but never made it 😞

We stayed just outside Chicago the camper next to us was surrounded by crime scene tape. The camp host said don't worry about it. Its only one and found great vegan deep-dish pizza also...

When you were talking about trying the Chicago Accent, I was thinking of a video of yours that was made just after you decorated the bus etc, and you were talking in softer tones, wondering if that's your usual way, or has been on the road amongst different people, that you have picked up different slants and tones, you must hear lots of interesting and different ways, and I noticed on this video the voice over at the end sounded so different . Been to one of the Japanese restaurants in Japan that had the sushi on the belts like that. But that robot is next level. All the food looked good and glad you all had fun around Chicago. Really liked Oz park. Sorry about the panic attack though.

Oz Park is our park when my kids were little- how did your kids like the Metra ride ? Did you eat with the China Town Chop sticks?

@@Beingbethunes I forgot ya'll have a time delay publishing your travels. KUDOS on braving that traffic in your bus. I imagine you're headed for warmer parts. Have you been thru Austin yet? Check out Pecan Grove, right in town for short term docking, if they can fit your bus. I stayed there when I first came back to Austin. Nice eldery couple run the place. Lots of state parks in the area too.

Sorry to hear you was having panic attacks Jen I feel for you I also suffer from PTSD and depression just to name a few from childhood trauma from age 5-16 physical, emotional and SA by step dad it’s hell to live with and I really wish I could afford to have / train a service dog I also sufferer from a lot of dibilitating physical conditions I’m only 48 and totally disabled now for last few years

if the sand burrs happen again... soak their legs in vegetable oil and then simply comb them out. My horses get them in their mane and tail and that's how we do it. 🤠
Chicago's right around the corner you're only about 3 to 4 hours away from Metro Detroit area you got some followers in the area safe travels I know you guys aren't used to the weather we're having up here if you're lucky you'll avoid any snow and as always safe travels
Chicago is incredible!! You should have taken your children to the Museum of Sceince and Industry and the Art Institute. Those are two must stops. Maybe next time?
Want to know the best beef sandwitches or pizza in the area you are in in chicogo ask ten different people where the best of what you want is . The majority rules so most likely 8 out of ten say the same place .trust me the kids will love Chicago deep dish pizza. Got to try chicogo beef sandwitch and the world famous Chicago dog .
Nnoooooo! No to pequods. They do something specific to their deep dish that makes it different. Still good but not the same. And most locals go for the thin tavern style.
I grew up all around the south and west side so for deep dish I’m a fan of uno, ginos, or a local joint. If you go out for pizza again, give the thin crust a try if you’re in the mood.
Kyle needs a haircut. As for Chicago, a cold and windy city, I would not want to be there. The city's reputation as a gangster city seems to still persist.

The sushi restaurant with the robot waiters was so cool. I've heard about Chicago's famous pizzas....They looked so good. Loved the Dorothy and Toto statue. The Chinese food looked delicious. A doughnut tour is my kind of tour lol You always eat at great places. That must have been tough going round with your PTSD Jenn. Thanks for highlighting Colin Gilis. 💞💞

We have visited all the same places this year... this summer we went to Chicago. I actually stayed in a nice little campground about 25 minutes away, but it wasn't really set up for much more than a popup. I avoided the boondocking lot because I read reviews where they were charging for the truck separately than the camper and I refused to pay $40 night to boondock, but then I didn't know how much that downtown parking was going to be for a conference I went to.
We had a really great time at the parking lot, we reserved our space online and they didn’t make us pay for towing the Jeep. Overall, we felt really safe there and didn’t come across any problems. We would for sure stay there again ♥️♥️
We saw y’all camping in Norris! We wanted to come say hi, but never made it 😞

We stayed just outside Chicago the camper next to us was surrounded by crime scene tape. The camp host said don't worry about it. Its only one and found great vegan deep-dish pizza also...

When you were talking about trying the Chicago Accent, I was thinking of a video of yours that was made just after you decorated the bus etc, and you were talking in softer tones, wondering if that's your usual way, or has been on the road amongst different people, that you have picked up different slants and tones, you must hear lots of interesting and different ways, and I noticed on this video the voice over at the end sounded so different .

Been to one of the Japanese restaurants in Japan that had the sushi on the belts like that. But that robot is next level. All the food looked good and glad you all had fun around Chicago. Really liked Oz park. Sorry about the panic attack though.

@@Beingbethunes I forgot ya'll have a time delay publishing your travels. KUDOS on braving that traffic in your bus. I imagine you're headed for warmer parts. Have you been thru Austin yet? Check out Pecan Grove, right in town for short term docking, if they can fit your bus. I stayed there when I first came back to Austin. Nice eldery couple run the place. Lots of state parks in the area too.

Sorry to hear you was having panic attacks Jen I feel for you I also suffer from PTSD and depression just to name a few from childhood trauma from age 5-16 physical, emotional and SA by step dad it’s hell to live with and I really wish I could afford to have / train a service dog I also sufferer from a lot of dibilitating physical conditions I’m only 48 and totally disabled now for last few years

The majority rules so most likely 8 out of ten say the same place .trust me the kids will love Chicago deep dish pizza. Got to try chicogo beef sandwitch and the world famous Chicago dog .

Nnoooooo! No to pequods. They do something specific to their deep dish that makes it different. Still good but not the same. And most locals go for the thin tavern style.

I grew up all around the south and west side so for deep dish I’m a fan of uno, ginos, or a local joint. If you go out for pizza again, give the thin crust a try if you’re in the mood.
Kyle needs a haircut. As for Chicago, a cold and windy city, I would not want to be there. The city's reputation as a gangster city seems to still persist.
