A lot of them seem to have no sense of morality, no regard or consideration for themselves or the people around them, and their only meaning in life is to chase hedonistic pleasures that will never even come close to filling the void in their cold, desolate hearts.
You literally hit all the problems I have with Reddit. I really tried using it for a while, but the people there are just so insufferable. It felt like any time I posted anything it was immediately removed for violating rule 87 section A paragraph 9
Reddit when someone posts the most vile, violent, raunchy, and explicit material on the site:😁👍 Reddit when someone actually uses a sub reddit for what it meant for or has an unpopular opinion:🤬😡👹👿🖕👎
What makes it really bad isn't just that they think they're smart, but that in conjunction with the fact that their 'intellect' is basically just regurgitation of information spoonfed by a sanctioned intellectual authority--they're basically still in the kindergarten mindset where listening to and agreeing with the teacher is the same thing as intelligence, and _this_ is what they're smug over. Even if they act like it's some independent feat of renegade 'free thinking'--as they so often do--it's literally just listening to the teacher, follow the leader, sit down in a circle around whoever you're convinced that the 'socially consious' people listen to, or read the memo of what thoughts are 'free thinking' from the 'free thinking' board, and then get hostile or be patronizing towards everyone who isn't indoctrinated on the same wavelength as you are. And it is indoctrination. They love to deflect that 'ha, nice try but the cliches in my quirky Netflix shows clearly point out that it's *religious* people who are indoctrinated' whenever it's pointed out, but they are genuinely cultish themselves. Anyway, keep being based, don't let anyone like this guilt you into changing and being like them just because they screech extra high and preach extra self-righteously.
Dunno bout y'all, but reddit has been the only thing really helping me with irl inconvenient problems, like, I'm trying to figure out how to do something, and literally no other information is out there other than on fucking REDDIT of all places.
Like for example, I've been trying to get tips on what tools I'm gonna need to build a guitar, lo and behold the luthier subreddit pops up. Or, I needed to ask what the differences between two different guitars were, and I got some good answers. Or, what a specific tone is or HOW to get a specific tone. ...A lot of guitar stuff has consumed me lately because I like learning the instrument.
That's because reddit is in an unique position where they allow website crawlers to show results with relevant info instead of gating it away like most websites do. It can be a powerful tool if used correctly. Also, thankfully most technical subreddits are in a separate bubble from the degeneracy going on the background.
One time I asked a question about shadow bans on r/newtubers and got downvoted to OBLIVION… The top comment responses were trolls telling me to sell my soul to a monk and delete every single account I’ve made, along with the videos, and then completely start over in the polar opposite niche. You’d think a beginner youtuber, on a site for beginner youtubers, wouldn’t know that shadowbans were made up as an excuse for bad analytics, but nope, not redditors. If you ask a question, they think you know the wrong answer and are actively propagating it as the ultimate truth.
One thing I also hate about Reddit is just how much that karma thing means. Like if you just registered, you won't be able to post in half of the subreddits because they have automod set up to silence anyone as to "prevent spam". And if your first post happened to be on one of those, well have fun, now you can't make posts anywhere at all until you get a bunch of karma because now Reddit's own filters don't trust you because an automod somewhere deleted your post. That's how the Reddit experience is for me now, I made an account, asked a question regarding unlocking the bootloader on Xiaomi, the automod deleted the post due to "low karma/new account", and now I can't post literally anywhere
Servers have a scale of danger and safety, and the way I view it, it's that you have to balance between anarchy and homogenisation, either your server is complete anarchy with no rules existing or it's homogenized by mods of that server, or the server is with rules but still maintains people who aren't mods and can talk more freely. Like r/SouthPark.

2:25 That's the most annoying thing about the "junkies" for me. Like yeah sure you can be a porn addict but you shouldn't be proud of it. It's not just porn either, they glorify (soft) drug usage/substance abuse or literally anything that overload their dopamine receptors.
“I don’t wanna get demonetized” *proceeds to verbally ignite someone’s house on fire*
Reddit when someone posts the most vile, violent, raunchy, and explicit material on the site:😁👍
Reddit when someone actually uses a sub reddit for what it meant for or has an unpopular opinion:🤬😡👹👿🖕👎

Also, 7:57 hey, it's me! I didn't allow you to take a photo of that exclusive interview!
Yes because, contrary to popular belief, not all of reddit is hell

I find it funny that all the comments are just people venting their horrible reddit experiences

Reddit is a terrible website and should only be used to solve obscure tech issues that some dude posted about 7 years ago
