Utah resident here, the state hardcore dropped the ball with the Franke case. Cps and police had been there upwards of 15 times in the last 7 years. Neighbors had been calling on them for YEARS. Those kids deserved so much better than any adult involved gave them, sad only the oldest sister ever tried to save them.
Imagine being out and a random person comes up to you and tells you everything about your childhood because your mom put it all online back then....

i never knew much about mumkey as a person, but i watched him near-religiously in highschool, right before his youtube ban. it was a strange time to start, watching him disappear when i'd just gotten through hus most popular content. i followed him off to the site he put up for his content, and... even now, when i remember watching him shatter for everyone to see, i feel really hollow. he was someone who seemed to put so much care into his videos and his community, and he often spoke so empathetically during his videos on the worst of people. it makes me feel sick knowing how often it is this happens to people

I never knew Sneako before his "Motivational" and Political content. I was shocked to learn he was even friends with MrBeast and even in a video that I remember watching. I’m not sure the “predators always reoffend” comment is always justified. I accept that most of them do (or at least significantly more than other types of criminals), but through my work I’ve known many who choose not to and can build a life that benefits society.
Would I trust them to watch my kid unsupervised? Fuck no, they’ve lost that right. But I’m also not going to say it’s inevitable they’ll reoffend and so write them off entirely. The "CPS showed up and found Ruby baking with her daughter instead" thing makes me laugh. Parents are actually often informed that CPS is visiting ahead of time, so she most likely cleaned the house and made the daughter bake with her in order to make it seem like nothing was wrong. Very common for abusive parents to put on act when faced with CPS, and I say this from experience.
I will never understand why they forewarn them. Isn't it obvious that they'd take that time to 'polish up' and put on a show? CPS is a joke, no matter where in the country you go. Sickening, really.

The next day my dad barged in my room and grabbed me and started yelling at me like "what have you done! Why did you tell them all this stuff! Now we got DSS up my ass and it's your fault! You better tell them nothing is going on when they get here or else it's only gonna get worse for you!" So of course me being scared shit less I basically said nothing and all he admitted to was whipping me with a belt in which they said that's normal.

Austin had victims in their early teens and requested unclothed vids whilst James was communicating with 16 year olds (again this is just from my knowledge of the allegations which is not infallible)

She's referring to trying to beat or smother the fire with a blanket which can sometimes work if it's a small one. But yeah, unless its electrical fire, you generally want to use water on fire, not a blanket or anything else.
