Fabulous Michael..really enjoying your adventures on video..great entertainment, you're a natural!...this could easily be a TV Series....look forward to more!.....😊👍 take care, dave
We had a lovely holiday on this canal,, Monmouth and Brecon , we hired a boat the longest we could find as two couples were on board. Although a little shallow in places and some tight bends we had a smooth and trouble free holiday, when we arrived at Brecon basin we went to the local antique shop and bought a lovely old clock marked , Brecon . Great memories, we recognised a lot in your video, I really need to get back on a boat.
@@michaelchartres don't know it to well just spent time on the canal and recognised the large Bridge you were on. And we think we had a meal in the pub you showed . lovely area .
A lovely bit of Deja Vu for me there Michael. Great memories of a wonderful day out. I have video footage from that day as yet un-edited, my how time is flying. It was interesting to see that boat go wide on that tight turn, just as one did as I stood there with you. The search for a narrow boat seems to be on pause while we tour some canals. I am really enjoying this series of videos and look forward to the Kennet and Avon next. Regards, David.
@@michaelchartres Hello again Michael, just to let you know, you put the wrong link in for "How to iron a shirt." You have the link for How to iron pants. Sunday and Monday were pretty good days for me, not so good Tues. though. David.
Looks like a lovely little canal. I also saw cruising the cut do the electric boat which I thought was great but unlikely to get electric posts on the main canals. Lovely video after a very stressfull fay. Thank you
I’m 63 and don’t possess an iron. Wash my clothes, put em on hangers or a drying rack then off you go. No wasted electricity, no wasted time doing it. Liberation. Like a narrow boat life to short to iron. 👍🏻🕛
I used to like it when shirts had separate loose collars. You could wear the shirt for a week and only needed to wash the collars!! Thanks for watching. Regards Michael
I get very upset about them. They should read the rules. Not long ago you were supposed to have a licence to cycle on the towpaths. Thanks for watching.
What a beatiful landscape, thank you for sharing this.👍😎 Cheers Andy 🤠
It is a lovely area Andy. You must come and visit like David Atkins did. AND he brought Bongo along. Cheers Michael

Many thanks Dave. You are too kind. Regards Michael
Thanks Michael. Very nice : ) I love those little narrow boats . . . I want one !!!
They look fun but really only good as a day boat or a bit like camping. Thanks for watching
Lovely video, very nice.
Thank you very much!

It is a lovely canal and I think it will be a long time before many boats are electric on the main canals. Thanks for watching.
Great video. Cheers 🍷🍺👍🏼
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for the video, nice canal it seems. I can tell you like bacon.

Great vlog Michael
Seriously though at your age
25kg bags of coal
Chopping wood
Emptying cassettes
Opening locks
Closing locks
I know David. All those things have crossed my mind too. In my next video I shall have to tell why anything maritime is in my blood. Regards Michael

Michael
I’ve still got one with collar studs!
👍🏻
I think you must be hungry. That's the second time you called it Brecon Bacon! 😂 😂
Are you any closer to finding a boat?
LOL and yes I could have done with a BACON sarni. As for the boat, hopefully soon. Thanks for watching.
Something needs to be done about dopey bikers who think the towpath is a race track
I get very upset about them. They should read the rules. Not long ago you were supposed to have a licence to cycle on the towpaths. Thanks for watching.
