I was wondering the same thing and so I looked it up. Of course Tineco says no and recommends to only use their solution. I would not use pine sol though because pine sol needs to be rinsed again. I follow cleaning channels and one recommends (not for machines but just regular bucket mopping) to use a pH neutral solution (Ecolabs) that does not need to be rinsed nor does is leave residue. Not sure what it would do to a Tineco machine. I realize this doesn't really answer your question, but at least you know you're not alone 🤪
This 1-2 year later reviews are the real deal. Any design fault with wet&dry vacuum will cause a serious headache which is pretty common.
Can you put any cleaning solution in there? Like pine sol?
