Optimus really doesn't make sense in this movie. Betrays humanity even though he stuck with it all along. Even when they killed Ratchet he still had some loyalty and understanding towards Humanity. He is a bit like Superman in a way that he knows that Cybertron had it's chance but Humans still have a chance.
First time I saw this movie, I actually thought Lennox was going to turn bad here. He was a hero in the first three films and it would've been a surprise if they made a traitor in this film. I also thought Bumblebee was going to die when he fought Prime. I was right about Prime turning evil but only for a short time.
