Talk about nostalgia! This song takes me straight back to my confused and emotional teenage years in the 1969's. I love this duo's harmonies so much I can't even express. Also try "Tonight I Need your Lovin' " by the same two.
"I stood unwound beneath the sky, and clouds unbound by laws..." Such wonderful harmony. Over fifty years, I've played this song more than any other song except "Here Without You," by the Byrds.
I love this version of "Lay Down Your Weary Tune" by Jim and Jean. I also am a huge fan of the Byrds, "Here Without You." Listen to both a lot! Also, been listening to Gordon Lightfoot's, "I Heard You Talking in Your Sleep." Just some songs that I can't stop listening to. Sounds like we like the same kind of artists.
The voices do not come through separate channels on the vinyl, rather they blend and the song sounds quite a lot a better. Look for a vinyl post even if surface noise-y.
What a great version. Beautiful harmonies.
quite simply, this is beautiful.........
How has this pair been so forgotten?

Could never find a better version of this Dylan song. Jim & Jean at their best.
