- So my newest toy to the collection the 1986 monte carlo GOT A MAKEOVER. VINYL WRAPPED TO HELP PRESERVE ORIGINAL CONDITION. The color I choose is 3M Matte Pine Green Metallic I had my eye on for quite some time. Yeah the green looks good but i get wY more nostalgic vibes with tbe grey with black red trim.I guess he can change it up easy later on

I'm preparing to do the same to my 85. The front bumper turn signal holes are my only real concern. Yours came out beautifully

I brought a 85 Monte SS home January first. Been parked in a garage since 2002. 83k miles. Got from the original owner. It's the last video I uploaded. You should check it out. The paint is shot on mine but I wanna wrap it like you did yours. Nice lookin ride man.

@@xsnagyeetx583 the whole point is to be able to customize it to his liking and still be able to keep the originality. After hes had his fun with the wrap he can just remove it and its back to original

I just wish you would have shown doing the roof and connecting it to the side leading down the quarter panel.
The roof as one piece then lay down knifeless tape so the edges where the both meet.
It comes off but the grey was definitely better.

Did you get different wheels? What are the ones on it in the video, Torque Thrust II's? Sorry mines just getting a lot closer to driving and I kinda like those :) Mine is an 87 SS T-top, Black with the gold striping and decals with light saddle interior. I'm super exited to be getting started on it, I have some interior work to do someone before me started switching the seats to burgundy :/
Edit: you can tell im excited about mine because I forgot to say your car looks amazing, I think the way the decals show through the wrap looks tough. I'd leave it it's like ghost striping and decals real subtle but slick af lookin :)

Awesome job man I am doing body work on mine. Can wrap hold on to primer? Also is it a good idea in Florida it stays pretty hot
Yes it will. The caprice I’m wrapping now i just had body work done to it and I’m wrapping over primer. I’m in Michigan and vinyl holds up during the winter and summer months. Only issue i can think of is color could fade if left out in sun for long periods of time like years.
