Much agreed . The eighties were a time of explosion in culture and music. Boy, I wish I grew in it at times. The original Thomas was the heart of my childhood and only saw the modern take on shows like Fireman Sam wnd Postman Pat. But now I appreciate the older shows always so much more and that of the themes. They are aren’t kiddish like now a days, they’re art.
Born in 1996 I am very thankful I was probably part of the very last generation of children to witness these old shows in stop motion pre CGI. Kids now probably prefer CGI and it does look better granted but can't beat the nostalgia for those of us who have grown up on the old stuff!

Don't mind me, writing this for my own reference: Coming to this after Leafy from BFB said the word "Fireman" to Firey in the last moments of BFB 30, and it instantly gave me flash of memory. And I had just finished watching BFB at this time, one year late.

I think Fireman Sam became a firefighter in Pontypandy But he loves to fight lots of fires is the job that he does at the fire station I thought he was driving his red fire engine down the busy streets and heard the two tone with a siren of a fire engine
Back when the shows actually respected the kids' potential cleverness, but today, they focus way too much to respect them, that at the end, I can easily say that they are being purely hypocritical.
They usually never outright stated the morals in shows like sam or thomas in the older episodes and respected the viewers intelligence. To put it short they didnt think we were stupid.
Such an iconic theme tune, I love it, too bad the series got ruined when it transitioned to CGI and got rid of characters like Bella and Rosa, and removed many elements from the first five seasons and stripped down any sort of continuity with them, and since they've just recently made Jupiter so futuristic that it looks nothing like a proper fire engine, it seems the CGI series will continue to suck and never improve at this point. I'll always prefer Series 1-5 and have fun memories watching them, and consider Series 5 to be the peak of the series IMO, such an underrated part of the show that never gets much love from people and I think it should, such a great season. Will never give HIT for rebooting the series though.

I think Fireman Sam actually became a firefighter The most song is incredibly rare underrated and undiscussed aspect of this theme tune is the way the musical ring tone and pace of the lyrics has been made to mimic the two tone with a siren of a fire engine

Back when the shows actually respected the kids' potential cleverness, but today, they focus way too much to respect them, that at the end, I can easily say that they are being purely hypocritical.
They usually never outright stated the morals in shows like sam or thomas in the older episodes and respected the viewers intelligence. To put it short they didnt think we were stupid.
Such an iconic theme tune, I love it, too bad the series got ruined when it transitioned to CGI and got rid of characters like Bella and Rosa, and removed many elements from the first five seasons and stripped down any sort of continuity with them, and since they've just recently made Jupiter so futuristic that it looks nothing like a proper fire engine, it seems the CGI series will continue to suck and never improve at this point. I'll always prefer Series 1-5 and have fun memories watching them, and consider Series 5 to be the peak of the series IMO, such an underrated part of the show that never gets much love from people and I think it should, such a great season. Will never give HIT for rebooting the series though.
