Same, in America I would watch it Saturday nights on Adult swim Anime would be on toonami, and I remember being so hype with the series. The song and the plot I really enjoyed it all.
The one thing about this opening that stuck with me all these years is the girl's arm position at 0:42 . It really resembles someone tied up using shibari, specifically the boxtie.
It's the jazz 'sting' (is that the right word?) immediately afterward for me. The fade backwards with her hand accentuating the flower petals synced to the music is so well juxtaposed. It makes the character complex before she's even introduced.
A star walks into a black hole but doesn't seen phased. The black hole then turns to the star and says, "I don't think you understand the gravity of this situation."
It's too bad that this anime did not get a remake but it's a classic like most of others what do any of you think should it come back with a remake or at the very least a comeback or popularity purposes let me know I am curious🤔❓️

*What I Remember about this Anime* - - This Opening which had like 10 versions even though this was a short runner (1 season) - The Main Character and Rival were so into each other even in-universe characters noticed - The last episode where Main Character and Rival just fought for like 15 minutes - The guy's who's power was Magic Balls because memes
