It's really Sad that this Generation doesn't really know about Sam Manekshaw his place in Indian Modern History. He deserves an entire chapter in Indian School Books
Don't be sad, instead try to tell everyone who Sam Manekshaw was, and what his contributions were. Spread his story as much as possible.
It was a moment of nostalgia for me to watch the movie as I had studied a valiant story of Sam Manekshaw during my schooldays in text book.

Probably one of the few roles in Indian Cinema till date, I forgot that it is Vicky but its Sam Bahadur Sir.. Only the character was going through my mind for the whole movie.. Movie is as usual wonderful like we come across many other war and biographical movies which has grip, emotion, etc..., but Vicky Kaushal, wow, intense performance..

To be very honest this film is not that good as expected. But hats off to Vicky, you really deserve many more. What an act and execution.... you were looking 100% an Army officer. Thats what dragged us (army person) towards this film.

This is an unpopular opinion but after watching the trailer and many interviews of the real character I believe that his acting is too serious the real FM Manekshaw was more charismatic, more nonchalant.
While Vicky is good. The casting and also treatment of the characters of I Dora Gandhi, Nehru, Kaul and Menon very poor. They look silly in the movie which is bad direction. The folks made tactical blunders but they were not weak by any stretch of imagination. To glorify your protagonist you can’t fudge facts and show other characters in poor light. Meghana has come a cropper in those scenes in the movie. Overall it is Vicky who steals the honours
Anchor needs to undergo diction class. Its Field Marshall Sam Maneckshaw, not just Sam Manecksha. She need to learn how to pronounce correctly. Jai Hind
