Gordon Brown was head and shoulders above anyone in the Tory party. He was incorrectly blamed for the global recession. The Tories own the media. I remember being so depressed on election night in 2010. It's almost over

This fills me up with quality 2000s nostalgia - the country was so much better back in those days, in contrast to the Tory shitshow we have had from 2010 until now. Austerity, Brexit, Covid, Mini-budget and so on. I wonder if the old days of the UK being the outward looking, tolerant, European nation under Brown many remember will ever return?

No, Britain wasn't better, though as you were 7 in 2010, you may not know. Spending money you haven't got is never good. Brown had record tax receipts coming into the Treasury yet still ran a deficit in the good times. You're wrong, and need to grow up.

The difference is that now it's all going into Tory pockets where before it was going to welfare programs and social good.
