Pairing the product to an environment in which it is designed to be worn is an excellent idea, Teddy! Photographing the watches against natural materials like stone really enhanced that aesthetic. When I filmed my review of the Wolverine 1000 mile boots last year, I chose a very similar setting to yours for that same reason. I'm close to the Appalachian Tail down here in VA, so glad to see you're visiting my "neck of the woods" for this one, ha ha. 🌲
Good job Teddy at trying new environments for making your videos. I remember you had mentioned in your interview with Watchfinder duo that you would be making more efforts in moving out for making content... Kudos. And love your content like always!
Glad you liked the added effort. This worked out nicely for us as we had a few videos we did with RGM so following that we spent a day out in the woods reviewing these. Thanks for the support.
Not sure how much I love the compass bezel, but I’ll reserve judgment until I can handle one in person. Hamilton nailed the sizes, though, and I love the all brushed finish. Also nice to see the last few releases having shorter lug-to-lug lengths. All in all, I like the direction Hamilton has been going!
Damn! I promised myself that I'd take a break from buying any watches for a while... still have some in unopened boxes. And then these new Hamilton's show up in my newsfeeds this morning. I successfully scrolled past those articles and I thought I'd succeeded in my discipline. But then I get a UA-cam alert for this video and I couldn't not click on it. That white dial in 37mm looks like my no-new-watches resolution might be broken. FWIW, after decades of 40mm and over, I've been wearing several 36mm to 38mm watches lately, and have really embraced these smaller watches. That Hamilton has released multiple sizes of each watch is pretty great.
and if you find yourself lost, and it's dark, you can still find north by which side moss grows on the trees; it grows on the north side that gets no sun ...
Stellar looking watch! Love that handset and the 37mm size! If I didn't just pick up a Tudor BB Pro and a standard Khaki Field last year, I'd have to get one!
Teddy, that hamilton expedition looks perdect on your wrist. the right size, for the right wrist. it seats just perfect on your wrist, i m really thinkink now myself if fetching one, even tho i owe the omega 2531.80. but i sincerely fee that that this hamilton expedtion watch d seat just perfect on my rather small wrist too.
Teddy, I don't know if you will read this comment. I started watch collecting very recently (under a year) and your videos have popped up on my feed frequently. I watched a couple of your videos. Initially I thought you were a smug, drab and boring person as your videos were very well made but lacked that entertainment factor and humour which I had seen with several other youtuber watch experts. But, gradually I watched more and more of your videos and your videos on watch collecting mistakes have literally made me see you in new light. The advice you gave on money management with regard to watch collecting and impulse purchases ("if you take the money you would spend on the next watch purchase out of your bank account and burn it, will if affect your life? Only if your life isn't affected significantly should you spend that money on a watch") have literally changed my spending habits. I have never been so influenced by a UA-cam video. I have now realised that you are a quiet and genuine person and my respect for you has skyrocketed. Keep making more videos Teddy. I am an ardent admirer of yours now.
I like. White dial needs a bracelet. If they did this and dropped the Faux patina it'd be a banger. Id also prefer dive bezel. But all in all it's a solid release by Hami
I enjoyed the video and the setting, the AT is a lovely place to be (and film). The watch is nice, especially the white dial 37mm. I think it would be more useful with a 12 hour bezel.
I think the Hamilton has Seiko beat in this category tbh. Two sizes and one crown...of course it comes down to personal taste but from a purely aesthetic and symmetrical standpoint, the Hammy wins easy.
Hamilton actually made a watch with a lug to lug that wasn’t ridiculous? Ok this I can get excited about! Between this and the new jazzmasters they have been killing it. I noticed you didn’t mention how many micro adjust the bracelet has. I hope it’s more than two.
Yeah that was the first thing I noticed too! Lug length on Hamiltons tend to be a bit long in proportion to case diameter so it is nice to see the shorter lugs especially on the 41mm. I don't want anything bigger than a 40mm King on my wrist because of the long lugs...but Im thinking I could probably sport the 41mm Expedition.
Thank you for the personal like to my first comment. I follow your channel very, very closely. I am from Guyana South America, I have a watch collection based mostly on your bargain priced watches. You are one of the best in presentation and give great advice on watches of all types. In fact, your knowledge of watches is truly epic! I am watching the video for a second time! It's so good!!👍
Thanks Teddy for a splendid review. This Expedition variant of the Hamilton Khaki field, is very interesting. I really appreciate that they've finally incorporated a screw down crown. It's long overdue. The compass ring is very cool. I wish the watch face had the 24 hour markings. This is one of the things that defines the classic American style field watch. The H-10 movement is a real gem; tough as army boots and highly accurate. The official Hamilton Dutch site, has both sizes advertised at € 1.115,00 on the leather band and € 1.195,00 on the bracelet. I have the Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium Auto 42mm: H70545560. I love my Hamilton Khaki Field watch.
how are you liking the titanium auto 42mm? I was pretty set on that being my new watch, until i stumbled upon this field expedition! now i'm genuinely torn
4:30 - "we'll rotate the bezel to put south... directly between noon or 12 o'clock and my hour hand". my question is which "between"? here he went with 1 'clock, but 7:30 is also a midpoint between 2 and 12.
Have this in white on bracelet 41 mm . Simple but man love presence of this watch it pops without being flashy . It’s my everyday hands on work watch .
Looks good. I've gotten pretty bored of blue dials but that one with the cordova strap is nice. Appreciate the location too. Very nice to see a watch out of a studio to see in natural light and hear how it performed in light, reflection, water, wear ability, etc.
I think that when you buy your first ever Hamilton, you will be a huge fan and love the Hamilton brand for the rest of your life. A no nonsense watch that is tough and rugged with all that good stuff 👍💯.
With GMT watches that have the GMT hand set to local time, if you point the hour hand at the sun the GMT hand will be north. I have a Khaki Field Automatic and like but don't love these. I would be tempted with a 12h rotating click bezel as a quasi-GMT (which I think more should do).
I can see them expanding and eventually making a titanium version with modern lume (green tint) color of this model. I would buy that in a heartbeat, although I would also buy this one if not.
That's absolutely stunning! Really like the compass function although you can just DIY that with any watch. Proportions with 37 and 41 are also perfectly chosen. Good job Hamilton! Really going with consumer feedback here. I think this would be a great watch for my dad and Christmas isn't too far away 🤔
Hamilton have engaged in a PR frenzy to launch this watch and personally I think they already have this product however, despite being somewhat unimpressed and wanting a stronger movement, you do a fantastic job and this reminds me of Why me you are probably the very best in terms of UA-cam watch content.
How good is the AR coating though? I can't bring myself to buy the 38mm Murph because the AR coating is a little subpar for my liking. So is the coating on this one better? Because it looks amazing.
🧭 Kudos on an in-the-field review of a field watch actually on your wrist, Teddy. Too many other hosts never leave their desks and have only screen shots of the watch.
I like this new version that Hamilton has produced. I like the ‘out in the field’ video here giving more of a purpose to the watch seeing it in action. Personally, the Khaki field still has it for me- and soon to be my next purchase thanks to your video
A better implementation of field watch 👍🏼..I used consider the Omega Dynamic time only watch…now this is a good replacement..the black dial on leather strap is my choice
yeah, that would've been a great idea to put the alternative hours on the bezel. When you "expedition" to an other timezone, you could use it to show the different timezone. I think the compas is not practical. But I like the look...
❤Automatic Khaki Field watches including this new model. Like the natural setting for this video. Btw my main everyday watch is a 42mm black case day date khaki field on a nato strap
Thank you for the personal like! I follow your channel very, very closely. I am from Guyana South America, I have a watch collection based mostly on your bargain priced watches. You are one of the best in presentation and give great advice on watches of all types. In fact, your knowledge of watches is truly epic! I am watching the video for a second time! It's so good!!👍
Will Hamilton issue a 6B Mark XI watch in this case size? I suppose the can if they want to, they just replace the bezel and the the dial to be closer to the RAF 6B
I was looking for my first and one watch i could wear to everything, especially hiking, i was so close to getting the khaki auto or murph but this just came along now i might consider this
Man, this is a beautiful watch! super balanced and the 37mm size is just perfect! But I just really struggle with the price for this one, as I bought the Khaki mechanical just a few months back new on sale for 260£… This is an upgrade but hard to justify an almost 4x markup for the same movement…
I congratulate you on your videos. I have really learned a lot about watches from them. As a suggestion, I would like to see some about everyday watches with brushed cases. I think it is a topic that is not widely discussed, since there is a lot of emphasis on polished finishes, which are very delicate for everyday use. Another suggestion is to take shots of the watches in profile, I think the thickness issue is important, so that the watch is comfortable under a shirt or a coat, and even for safety reasons, so as not to draw so much attention in certain places.
I'm almost sorry I got a Khaki Field a few months ago. I would have gone for this, in the white dial! EDIT - I gave in and bought one. 37mm with a leather strap. I'm in love. It works with a wide range of straps, and mine keeps almost perfect time - within 1-2 seconds a day!
i would still go with the khaki field mechanical & just buy a suunto compass that i can attach to the strap, it’s not everyones cup of tea, but it works for me, & saves me a lot of money 😂
Great video Teddy, I love to see you in a new environment outside the studio. The scenery and cinematography was beautiful. If you are interested in constructive criticism, I wasn't the biggest fan of the off angle shots on you while you were talking. Just felt a bit forced and off. But again, I loved the video and really appreciated the explanation of how to use the compass bezel. Keep it up!
The white dial is super super nice looking. Honestly both sizes look awesome and I’m glad they both have 20mm lug width.
Agreed. They both look excellent.
The white is the most unique with black lettering vs white and easier to read hands with black outline vs white outline that gets lost in the lume.
Reminds me of the Oris Big Crown Roberto Clemente.
18 and 19 mm lugs are terrible.
21mm lug width would be much better for The 41mm bracelet model.
Pairing the product to an environment in which it is designed to be worn is an excellent idea, Teddy! Photographing the watches against natural materials like stone really enhanced that aesthetic. Thank you! And nice boot with the 1000 mile. Was wearing my Crockett & Jones Moray with commando soles in this video.
@@TeddyBaldassarreNow to reveal a new dive watch in the middle of the ocean! 😅
Fantastic production value; very entertaining and informative. Another home run!
Yes, Brother. The on-location format for showing off great gadgets is a magnificent approach. More, please. Thank you.
Excellent design for a classic watch for easy everyday wear. Nice to see a watch these days not trying to do, or be more than just being a good watch.
I think I'd use the compass complication about as often as I use my dive watches for diving. So I'm OK with that. Cool watch! Thanks, Teddy.
With that case design, a GMT complication a la Explorer 2 or BB Pro would definitely round out the Khaki collection.
That would be awesome
Absolutely. I would buy that TODAY.
For that, we have glycine chief airman
Hamilton doesn't miss. Awesome job showcasing this, you and the team should be so proud of this one!

Finally, a screw down crown on a Hamilton field watch.
It's very very nice video detailing all four and the forest scenarios are awesome you nailed it
It's the quintessential videos of yours
Thank you 😊
Stellar looking watch! Love that handset and the 37mm size! If I didn't just pick up a Tudor BB Pro and a standard Khaki Field last year, I'd have to get one!

Very cool looking brushed bezel and case.
Remember to follow the white blaze Teddy. Nice release from Hamilton. Its good to see the smaller sizes getting more attention recently.

A GMT version of this watch will be so cool. With a true GMT movement of course.

Hamilton Khaki field VS Seiko Alpinist video please!
It’s a pretty natural comparison. We can look at it further in the future. Thanks for watching!
I think the Hamilton has Seiko beat in this category tbh. Two sizes and one crown...of course it comes down to personal taste but from a purely aesthetic and symmetrical standpoint, the Hammy wins easy.
Hammy Expedition wins easily... Movements of Hamilton are much more superior than Seiko...
Teddy is simply the greatest explorer. Ever.

1) beautiful watch, love that they released two sizes. That 37mm is 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
2) Teddy do be working out 👀
Teddy is hench.

I think that when you buy your first ever Hamilton, you will be a huge fan and love the Hamilton brand for the rest of your life. A no nonsense watch that is tough and rugged with all that good stuff 👍💯.
Exactly what I was thinking. I have a Khaki field day date and the aviation pioneer. Just got a vintage 1942 one. Hamilton is addictive.
Haha 😂, bitten by the bug. You have a great set of Hamilton watches there.
Lack of coating ruins them for me 👎👎

Nice watch, beautiful outdoors. Good job mixing things up a bit. All the best.
Is the ar on the outside or under the crystal?
I have a Timex Expedition (Quartz ana-digi) that is about 18 years old and this one looks awfully similar to this including that compass bezel!
Hamilton have engaged in a PR frenzy to launch this watch and personally I think they already have this product however, despite being somewhat unimpressed and wanting a stronger movement, you do a fantastic job and this reminds me of Why me you are probably the very best in terms of UA-cam watch content.
I like it, especially the way it looks. Thanks, Teddy.
Oh yes. The white dial is gorgeous. Short list. This will be a home run for Hamilton.
Excellent content & watch ! Thank you
How good is the AR coating though? I can't bring myself to buy the 38mm Murph because the AR coating is a little subpar for my liking. So is the coating on this one better? Because it looks amazing.
Chances are no better. They don’t seem to care about ar coating much
It is in the same ballpark. I talk about it further at the end of the video in the wrap up section
🧭 Kudos on an in-the-field review of a field watch actually on your wrist, Teddy.
Too many other hosts never leave their desks and have only screen shots of the watch.
Audio clarity (especially for an outdoor setting) and overall production of this video is fantastic
Does anyone know if the bracelet for the 37m is compatible with the Murph 38?
I like this new version that Hamilton has produced. I like the ‘out in the field’ video here giving more of a purpose to the watch seeing it in action. Personally, the Khaki field still has it for me- and soon to be my next purchase thanks to your video

Thank you Teddy! Though I don't need a compass bezel - you can even do that with a cheap digital watch... 😉 Cheers!
Wow…stepping it up! I’ve always enjoyed my Hamilton watch and would certainly consider this model.
Now I know how to use those compass bezels, and it’s not what I would’ve thought. Thanks Teddy, great review as always. 🙌👏
Great video Teddy! I love the surroundings! beautiful watches too!
Thank you for the personal like! I follow your channel very, very closely. I am from Guyana South America, I have a watch collection based mostly on your bargain priced watches. Damn my dude is ripped
Dang. Teddy is getting buffed.
Will Hamilton issue a 6B Mark XI watch in this case size? I suppose the can if they want to, they just replace the bezel and the the dial to be closer to the RAF 6B
What if it's 8 o'clock? Does S go at 10 or 4? What about am v pm?
Nice watch love the size this is new version Teddy thanks!
Beautiful! I love your idea for a 12-hour bezel on this one; I'd buy it.
I was looking for my first and one watch i could wear to everything, especially hiking, i was so close to getting the khaki auto or murph but this just came along now i might consider this
Is this the same movement in the Tissot Powermatic 80?
No bracelet for the Blue dial?
Can’t wait to buy one from you Teddy, just waiting for some funds to come in!
A GMT khaki in this style would be wicked sucessful.
Really wish the 37mm white came with a bracelet. Explorer 2 vibes. Love it
Looks awesome. I’m getting some Tudor ranger vibes from it.
I reckon this is my favorite looking hamilton yet
Hamilton learned from its experience with the Murph so they are offering different case sizes I think
A very interesting watch. Unfortunately I just bought the Khaki Field mechanical 38mm with White dial. Is it bettet? 🤔
Nice looking Hammy. Being an "expedition" I would have hoped for better lume though.
Your best video so far Teddy!
Single or double ar?
Man, this is a beautiful watch! super balanced and the 37mm size is just perfect! But I just really struggle with the price for this one, as I bought the Khaki mechanical just a few months back new on sale for 260£… This is an upgrade but hard to justify an almost 4x markup for the same movement…
Where did you get it for £260 please
Just bought the expedition 37mm for 6500🎉🎉🎉
Cool watch! I appreciate the different location.
I congratulate you on your videos. I have really learned a lot about watches from them. As a suggestion, I would like to see some about everyday watches with brushed cases. I think it is a topic that is not widely discussed, since there is a lot of emphasis on polished finishes, which are very delicate for everyday use. Is the bracelet articulating
Compass dial not as quirky as a dive bezel that never gets wet or rotated
I'm almost sorry I got a Khaki Field a few months ago. I would have gone for this, in the white dial! EDIT - I gave in and bought one. 37mm with a leather strap. I'm in love. It works with a wide range of straps, and mine keeps almost perfect time - within 1-2 seconds a day!
Great video! Wonderful idea to take the watch outdoors. Really cool!👍🏻
I am getting serious Explorer vibes!
i would still go with the khaki field mechanical & just buy a suunto compass that i can attach to the strap, it’s not everyones cup of tea, but it works for me, & saves me a lot of money 😂
Is it anti-reflective?
Thank you for the post. I love Hamilton's, and value your honest review.
I don't know if it would be right to compare this watch with Sinn 556, but which one do you think is better?
What if you live on the equator?
Is faux patina still trending??
Love the look of this watch!
Subbed ! Love the channel !
Great production , Hamilton couldn’t have done it any better ! Nice watches too
Love the video teddy!
Why do they not put the day and or day/date on these?
Blue for me!! I need one
Keep it up!
I like it, can’t make up my mind, this, Cooper or Murph 🤔 any advice?
Very nice, bur is it worth the premium on $
White dial is my favourite.
You pronounce Lancaster pretty good sir! Bravo 👏🏻
