  • For $10, how could I not take this home, and give it a chance at a new life? As furniture flips go, it's not flashy, but instead is sedate, neutral, and functional.

Now I know how I might approach redoing my own solid cedar chest. A plain thing but has lived with me simply shellacked for Decades! Thank you.

Hi Tracy, how lucky were you to find a Lane 1933 chest for that price and in such great condition. You did an amazing job on this, glad you took off the googly eyed looking things on the front. I love the legs on this one, better than on the floor, great work as always....Take care...cheers !!! 🍁 🍁

I was lucky! The poor thing was sitting in the middle of an almost empty home, getting in people's way. As big as it was, no one saw it but me. Thank you for taking the time to comment and compliment!

Thanks! I didn't realize the paint was that green. The color is called "Licorice."

It was headed for the landfill in its original state. But by painting it, it was able to find a home where it was needed and wanted. (The buyer said it matched their other furniture.)
