@@revelation12_1 No what they meant is that they are protestant and able to look at a faith different than their own and respect that without shoving their faith down other people's throat. But funnily enough I do agree that in today's religious circles, there's hardly any difference between Catholics and Christians. I mean the only visible difference is that Christians don't have religious statues they *"venerate"* like the Catholics do but realistically everybody has *some* idol in their heart right? At the end of the day, they all do Christmas and Easter, worship on the same day and cherry pick and twist ancient texts to fit their narrative.
@@alvm615 But God’s truth is absolute and Jesus wanted us all to be one. To imply Catholics aren’t Christians is silly. The word Catholic just means universal, it’s the universal church. And statues are not idols, we don’t worship statues they are just visible representations of an invisible reality just like when God commanded that two angels be placed on the Ark of the Covenant.
@@revelation12_1 I'm not going to argue this, sorry. Keep believing that. I don't care to convert you to anything, it just seems illogical to me that's all. If I declared myself to be religious, and in my religious book there was a part where my own God said, "don't even make those little statues. Don't even make statues that represent me" and I turn and I see that my place of worship has them plastered all over the place like confetti, then I don't know, I'd think twice about why that's happening in my religion, like why are we doing the opposite of what that religious book says.. I didn't say Christians and Catholics don't act like one and the same, in fact they are, they just have different forms of idols in their lives.

I returned to the Catholic faith when I was 26 or 27 years old. My younger sister went to the RCIA to do her Confirmation first, then I followed suit after. I was told that I would need to pick a Patron Saint for my Confirmation, and even though I was born, and raised Catholic my mother had not taught me about Saints and I thought praying to them was not a good thing, so I had NO IDEA where to even begin looking for a Saint that could resonate with me. God worked quickly though because the following week or so after that I was watching a program called "Unsolved Mysteries" and they showed a segment on Padre Pio, and his story drew me in. A few days later "Unsolved Mysteries" dedicated a whole hour on stories of Padre Pio, and as I was watching it I knew that Padre Pio was meant to be my Patron Saint. When I was having trouble trying to figure out who I was going to choose as a Patron Saint, I realized that Padre Pio picked me, and I do not know why, but I am so happy that he did. 🙏📿
I am happy since i came back to the catholic faith, the peace after reconciliation is something that has nothing to do with anything the world could offer to me. Thanks for the mercy of Jesus who saved me from new age beliefs.
When I converted to Catholicism my first Sunday Missal in the instruction urges users to actively follow the Mass by silently reading out all the prayers - either in Latin or English, making them our own personal prayers to God. I followed that and that was how I got to appreciting the Mass. Many Mass goers fail to understand this and become mostly passive participants and prone to complain that Mass is boring. Spiritual growth and fervour are fruits of personal fervour and devotion. Like in studies, the fruits of one's efforts show in how much one is willing to put it - to use computer lingo - loading in the input. Success doesn't come without efforts. Jubilation is the outcome of our efforts plus all other additions from encouragement and various assistance from relatives and friends. God will touch only those who truly display love and devotion to Him in the Mass- not the ' cinema goers'. Once touched - and 'electrified' - the fire of the Holy Spirit 'shall begin to flow'. Sadly many Catholics do not understand this and consequently never got to know the Reality of the Lord in the Mass. Thus the verdict - oh how boring is the Mass. God bless.

I find it hard to believe that anybody as narcissistic as Shia LaBeouf has humbled himself and approached the altar the way it's supposed to be. Are we sure he's not just trying to hire Jesus as his personal assistant?
The strongest conversions come from those who have fallen the deepest. If you have a hard time believing it, you need to go back to reading your New Testament. Jesus can resurrect the dead but not change the hearts of broken people? Where is your faith?
I have to strongly agree, I understand giving those the benefit of the doubt, however we have seen many actor's and many players within Hollywood openly supporting degeneracy since 2016 their way of advertising a film/tv shows, always involved some ignorant statement of how the consumers should be treated with utter contempt which these elites are no longer hiding their feelings. Nevertheless this complete saturation of degeneracy that is plaguing our entertainment has made many understandably question the genuinity of Mr. Shia "He won't divide us" LaBeouf.

I was feeling bad anxiety all this week. I made a last minute doctor appointment that went nowhere. By “coincidence,” I already had an appointment for my priest to enroll me in the Brown Scapular. The moment the scapular went on me the anxiety instantly disappeared and has not been back since. If you’re Catholic, I highly recommend it.
I can attest to that, healing power of our Lord's sacramentals and prayers
I'm a Protestant but I have watched his biography long ago and it was interesting and a blessing.
You should be a Catholic because people like Padre Pio don’t exist because of some dude preaching out of a barn in Alabama :)
What you mean is that you are a Catholic who is still wandering in the wilderness and isn’t ready to come back home.
@@revelation12_1
I'm not going to argue this, sorry. If you truly believe that your form of idol worship wouldn't be a stench in the eyes of the God of Israel, your supposed god, then I don't know what I can tell you lol. That's fine.

God bless.
