The PSP was the last handheld I owned. My favorite of all time. Favorite games are the two God of War games, Crisis Core, Wipeout, Tomb Raider Legends, and Dissidia.
The PSP, for as old as it is, was WAY ahead of it's time. An amazing handheld. Even now, seems better than my modern Switch. Heck, you could use it as an mp3 player and even watch movies on it... back then! Sony has the tech and the money. They should make a PSP 2 to compete with the Steam Deck.
The PSP was my first and for several years only console. I played SO MANY of the games you mentioned and this entire video was a huge nostalgia trip. Invizimals, Kenka Bancho, Half Minute Hero and, of course, Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This?, which still wins for the best game title ever.
There is a yakuza spin-off series called "Kurohyou" that has recently been english patched for the PSP. They are incredible games and very similar to the kenka bancho game you mentioned
Work Time Fun is more of a WarioWare style game, and I love it! I spent countless hours playing the game, trying to unlock all of the minigames via the Gachapon machines. Honestly, with Sony putting PS1 and PSP games on PS4 and PS5, I hope it comes to the consoles eventually, so I can do it all again! Also, the Ramen Timer in that game is meme worthy as all holy hell. Plus, the cover art looks like the character Dr Tran from MondoMedia, which is what initially brought the game to my attention, since I loved those shorts when I was a teen.
It’s so awesome hearing someone talk about how amazing, and a bit strange, the PSP is. It’s my second favourite console of all time (only behind the Vita which is just the PSP deluxe and running a psp emu on it makes it a two in one) and people really don’t talk about how awesome it was and honestly still is. The reference to Pangya truly made my day. It’s one of my favourite games of all time, having played it when I was as young as three. Seeing Fat Princess here too was just amazing, I adore Fistful of Cake so much and I always go back to it when I just want to have some quick fun.
One of my fav PSP games I hardly hear anybody talk about is Fate/Extra. (Its characters certainly haven't been forgotten, Nero is EVERYWHERE in Japan thanks to F/GO) It's an excellent visual novel with a neat little rock paper scissors dungeon crawler tacked on. It has one of the most consistently BANGIN soundtracks I've ever heard with that sweet electronic jazz. It's got a remake that's been in development forever, hopefully that'll be a great way for people to finally check it out.
_Fate/Extra_ has a couplethree sequels. One was an RPG set between, IIRC, the prologue and main game proper, and then a series of Dynasty Warrior clones (that were so delayed that they were supposed to introduce a character who had shown up in _F/GO_ years earlier.) I'd also argue that introducing Elizabeth Bathory was arguably more impactful; Nero is just another Saber clone (and a bait-and-switch for the low information consumer.)
I tried Fate/Extra back in like, 2014 cause I got into the Fate/ rabbit hole, but the battle system really takes me out of the experience tbh. Everything else range from fine to good, but the battle system is just not good enough to be the main thing you do for the majority of the game
Bought this because I wanted another Persona-style game, and I like the rock-paper-scissors-combat and the entire having to guess the boss's true name. Never got far in it though. Apparently, there is a remake in the works for this game, but screenshots seem to suggest that it uses a different combat system.
Motorstorm: Arctic Edge was pretty rad. It was a full proper Motorstorm game on a handheld, and the snow theme made it feel like a distinct entry and not just a watered down handheld spinoff. Despite being on the weakest hardware, I think it's the second best in the series, behind Pacific Rift. Also Resistance Retribution is worth mentioning alongside Killzone Liberation. I remember it being one of the more successful attempts at doing a traditional shooter on the PSP.
Generation of Chaos and Aedis Eclipse were my favorite games on the PSP. They were like Fire Emblem but with a dash of Mario Party and also the characters have signature super moves that they call out the names of as they attack. (shout out to the big buff dude with two axes that would get more and more buff before screaming GOD SLAYER)
The psp also has a lot of great Japanese games that never made it to the states. I really wished we had a proper English release (or full translation) of the Tales of Phantasia remake. The best possible version of that game stuck overseas and on the psp
I would kill to play tales of phantasia! I only played it on the gba emulator where you could hold spacebar to make the game run faster to kill the lag XD
You're in luck! Life Bottle Productions, the people who did the fan translation of Tales of Destiny Director's cut, are also working on Tales of Phantasia Narikiri Dungeon X :D
I wasn't super into the PSP, but I *did* have a chance to try a hidden gem by the name of Crush. It's a puzzle-platformer that's like a combination of Super Paper Mario's 2D/3D flipping mechanic and Fez's perspective rotation, and yet it actually predated both of those games. It's also got this really striking "dark/twisted comic book" visual style, and the music uses all kinds of wild distortion effects, which really suits the idea of going into the main character's mind to find the root of his issues and quite literally collect his lost marbles. It definitely flew under the radar, and I don't think the developers at Zoe Mode worked on many other titles besides it.
So happy you brought up GitS:SAC! I love the Tachikomas as characters in the anime so having on as your tag-along buddy was fun. I do agree that it needed dual analog controls but you can make it a bit more playable through emulation.
Two of my big favorites on PSP are Jeanne D'Arc and Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee. (I didn't play Pangya on PSP but on PC when it was known as Albatross 18). Jeanne D'Arc is made by Level-5, who made Dark Cloud and Dragon Quest VIII. It's a fun strategy RPG that is quick to pick up for newbies of the genre as it doesn't go very deep into detail but it's still great fun.
It was nice seeing Pangya get spotlighted even just for a moment. I played the MMO religiously as a kid and got really sad when it shut down. I still boot up the PSP version every now and again to get my anime golf fix :)
Anytime the PSP comes up I just think about Loco Roco and The 3rd Birthday. The former being so cute and quirky and amazing. The latter being a much bigger monster. Weird gameplay mechanics and story that makes ZERO sense and a little too much inappropriate fanservice. Still absolutely loved that game. Also been using Dr. Squatch exclusively for about 3 years now :) great stuff!
I’m glad you talked about Work Time Fun! My brother and I played it all the time as kids and I always considered it more along the lines of an even more absurdist mature version of Wario Ware with even more bizarre life sim elements as a setting/setup for the jobs/micro games.
I have always been really interested in those Yakuza spin-off games for the PSP. They looked like they scratched some of that Kenka Bancho itch, but also had a connection to one of my favorite game series.
Fun fact: the whole reason I bought my PSP was to play Size Matters because I was such a huge Ratchet & Clank fan. Same reason I played every PS2 entry and most of the PS3 entries. It's kind of crazy that it's 18 years old now
I sunk thousands upon thousands of hours into Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. I got a small group of friends into it and that was great, finally being able to play with others. But once the PS3 Ad-Hoc Party came out it was basically life changing lol. I played with thousands of people and made friends, it's one of my favorite times of my life in general that era. Oh my God Coded Arms, i loved that game!
The PSP Mega Man games were my childhood, and I still love Powered Up to this day. MHX isn't as good as the original but it's still a very solid effort and worth playing for a change of pace of one on my favorite games ever. I always hoped for a Powered Up 2 but we never got it sadly
I personally own about 200 psp games, that console was my jam. It came out right as I was going in to high-school, I was finally working and had money, all my gamer friends had one, the psp goes hand in hand for me with my high-school experience. I bought basically every game I could get my hands on for about 5 years straight, I own 90% of all the games you mentioned. I bought dead head fred first week cuz it had Dr. Cox in it, I'll never forget Snake shooting a laser out of the top of his head in Acid 2 when you use the Metal Gear card, Rengoku II was played every day at lunch by my friend group, ad hoc was something special. The amount of hours and psps I've gone through is insane, think I own about 7 or so maybe 3 still working. I always find it strange so many channels barely acknowledge the psp or just have little to say about it so I was very stoked to see this was your new vid, unapologetic psp gamer for life!
As a kid I used to play a single game for few months on my PSP. Over 20 NG+ saves on both Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank About 700 hours in all Patapon games And after all these years I still couldn’t find that one remaining Precursor Orb in Daxter
austin and rebel taxi uploading videos about the psp in the same week is 1 thing, but somehow they managed 2 talk about entirely different games. not sure what that means but it's something. i still remember buying the psp with summer job money back in the day. i have a lot of love 4 the little thing.
thanks for reminding me of some games that were absolute bangers for me as a kid. one interesting psp game that I have reminded myself about was called Crush. It was a 3D puzzle platformer where you had to rotate the level to get to certain areas, kind of like in Fez. Echochrome and Echoshift were also really nice puzzle games with a very minimalist art style. Psp also had many great racing games, such as Burnout games, Gran Turismo and Motorstorm Arctic Edge.
If I have ever seen a PSP irl, it was in 2006 or something. Everyone quickly decided the different Nintendo handhelds were better. Sure enough, at the local second-hand store, they sell like 6 PSP games, but 260 Nintendo DS games. (They don't even sell the PSP itself, either, but almost every Nintendo handheld released before the Switch.)
Man hit me in the childhood mentioning Battlezone and Pangya. I have a copy of battlezone that was signed by the whole team at Paradigm, it was such a fun game.
Thank you Austin for the battery reminder. It has sadly began with the battery in my console, but I took it out and the PSP case is still OK. That little thing was the first big buy I made with the money from my first job, so it holds a special place in my collection.
Sunday vs Magazine was 🔥🔥🔥 I emulated it a couple years back and unlocked all the characters not understanding a single thing lol. I just remember recognizing old anime characters I saw before and ones I never saw before. I fw that game heavy!
As far as forgotten PS2 games go, I do feel like RAD Robotic Alchemical Drive is one of them, it was published by Enix before they got absorbed by Square Soft and it's an example of a hidden gem on one of the most biggest consoles ever. Another I can think of is Cold Fear and The Thing game, cause Survival Horror was quite vast on the PS2, including some that fell off the radar and don't get talked about much.
I remember some of the games in this video especially Pursuit Force and Half Minute Hero! Also I remember playing and finishing Hammerin' Hero when I was in the hospital 13 years ago.
Sunday Versus Magazine is probably my most played PSP game (via emulator of course) after like Birth By Sleep. It's a surprisingly fun traditional fighter that has some reeeeally crusty jank and a lot of SICK character choices.
The Death Jr games and Infected were my usual go-tos on the handheld and it's a shame they never got ported (well, one of the Death Jr ganes did, onto the Wii, but still).
This definitely deserves a second video, there's many weirder and more forgotten games than Sonic Rivals and Metal Gear Acid. Just one example, Rengoku: Tower of Purgatory and its sequel. I feel like no one ever talks about it, and I had tons of fun playing it back then.
My Me game, a.k.a Edgelord Teenager Me, was Undead Knights. A hack n slash game during the zombie craze of the late 00s. But you can actually use the zombies in a bit of a Pikmin style...? All while listening to some licensed Metal soundtrack. But I loooved playing the ports the PSP have. THUG 2, Guilty Gear, Metal Slug Anthology, Smackdown vs Raw 06, Twisted Metal Head On. Add to all that you could... 'customize' your PSP, and play any PS1 game on the go... Beautiful. Great video!
There are few thing that bring me the same joy as a new Austin Eruption videos, those few things being, Pokemon Emerald, Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, and my dogs. Keep the videos coming!
Good string of quality videos with fresh topics and/or interesting takes lately. I know you've been on UA-cam for a while but you've been hitting my algorithm pretty hard lately and it's been a welcome addition!
PSP to this day is my favorite console. Tragically fragile system, lost 1 to a drop and my other to being broke in the late 00's and selling my collection. Unbeatable game library that I believe in retrospect is truly more well rounded than ANY other console. That's not to mention the amazing feature set, it was the one solution to being on the go. mp3s for the walk, videos for the train, games for a lunch break all on one device BEFORE the smart phone.
Aw man, you showed it on the intro but didnt mentioned! One of my favorite PSP experiences was (and still is thanks to emulation) the Badman games. Such a weird, simple concept, with a memorable "primary school band" soundtrack and some funny dialog between characters. I loooove that trilogy, and even dedicated a fair amount of time to the Vita spin off.
Honestly, what drew me to Dead Head Fred in the first place was him being voiced by John McGinley. The game also acknowledged that he's best known as Dr Cox, since he makes a reference to it in the credits scene.
About time you did PSP games, it is one of the most unique handhelds out there, with a bunch of oddities in the library, so I'm excited to watch this one 😁😁
Man, Scott Wozniak, TripleJump and Austin Erection all three recommending "Dead Head Fred" to me within the same month, despite me NEVER having heard about that game before, just has to be a sign to actually check it out.
PSP was awesome! It's an underrated portable system! I think that it's one of the best portable systems alongside the Nintendo 3DS with awesome games in its library. I remember spending a lot of time playing Dissidia Final Fantasy on that thing. I also enjoyed the Mega Man Powered Up game. I wished Capcom ported that to next gen systems and PC.
One PSP game that's totally forgotten that I personally love to bits is Patchwork Heroes. Nobody seems to talk about it anymore but it's one of the most exciting games on the PSP in my opinion
You forgot about the "No Heroes Allowed!" series. Also known as "Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What did I do to Deserve This!?" series. Its like if you mixed Dungeon Keeper with an ant farm / simant type game with RPG elements and so much more. It's the most unique series of games I've ever played personally and they're massively underrated. I only have a PSP to keep it loaded with all 3 of the games and Patapon. You can play the 3rd game (my favorite personally) on ps4 right now and theres a VR game for PSVR, but other than that, they're almost completely forgotten.
Mega Man Powered Up is one of those remakes with an insane amount of content that just is like how did this not sell like hotcakes? Literally added two new robot masters to the original game, gave you all the robot masters as playable characters, plus roll, and proto man. voice acting etc... it's too bad that they didn't bring some of those things forward into the future games.
AC!D and AC!D 2 are my two favourite MGS games. I've never liked stealth games but for some reason card games scratch a perfect itch in my head for video games. I had so much fun with then. Loved them.
Gladiator: The Beginning, is a great PSP game that I played a lot that is a completely hidden gem. It's an arena brawler with multiple ending, that allows you to use anything in the arena as a weapon, including the armor you dismantle from your enemies mid combat. You can then upgrade these "weapons" to actually be really deadly lol. It's a great game.
The PSP is probably my favorite handheld, it had so many great games in it! - God of War: Chains of Olympus - Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep - Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy - SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny - The 3rd Birthday - Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection - Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Daxter is the best game to pick up with PSP for a first experience. It’s great platforming with all the charm of Daxter and his dad joke sense of humor. It’s solid and I was blown away to be playing it on a handheld back then. I’d love to play through it again. Maybe someday it will get a port or remaster.
The DJ Max series for the PSP was one of my go2 for rhythm game alongside Patapon and Loco Roco. The Gundam Vs Gundam series was also another great arcade game. It had so many gundams from different eras battling out. Massive boss fights and even co-op so you can play with a friend. If I wanted to scratch my racing itch it would be Rockstar's Midnight Club LA Remix, with that free roam world and street races alongside the decent soundtrack. But of course Monster Hunter series was the game I spent the most on. Just hearing *Pokke village* soundtrack and *Proof of a hero* hits me with so much nostalgia.
Awesome video Austin. Appreciate you bringing up Metal Gear Acid 1 & 2 those games are peak childhood nostalgia for me. If you're looking for more forgotten and weird games, then you should definitely look up Bounty Hounds. It was a cool third person action RPG made by Namco involving customizing your character's weapons & armor parts like Armored Core. Hopefully I'm not the only one who remembers that game lol.
I got my PSP when it first came out. Bought many puzzle games and platformers on it. Even had both CAPCOM Collections,Midway Collection and Sega Genesis Collection. Mega Man Powered Up was another good game. The PSP is underrated handheld and was a lot of fun.
Something some people may have missed in the video is the acronym for work time fun. It’s W.T.F. It’s what caught my eye at the game shop when I saw it on the shelf. I miss the PSP days man.
I LOVED my PSP and I miss it dearly. Daxter was the first game I owned for it and I played it countless times. I also had a lot of UMD movie disks for it too!
Wow somehow I completely forgot I use to play Star Wars Lethal Alliance! Usually when I think of my PSP days, I remember Daxter, Crash Tag Team Racing, Monster Hunter and Loco Roco. Really great to see some more obscure games on this list that spark faint memories. Killzone Liberation was actually the first PSP game I remember playing. Been binging your videos for the past few weeks, love the consistency to your content!
*bursts through wall* DID SOMEBODY SAY DEAD HEAD FRED!? Also a game that I definitely think deserved a moment in the spotlight was Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner. It was a new title from one of the early creators of SMT and started what I like to call the Megami Tensei Adjacent series of games with titles like The Caligula Effect, Monark, and Guns Undarkness.
I played so much of the PSP. Probably still my favorite handheld. Metal Gear Peace Walker and Phantasy Portable 2 absolutely defined my High School years.
i remember very well when I bought Metal Gear Acid... I saw the box in the game store and I remember being super excited by thinking of playing a sequel to this massive franchise... when home I put the mini Cd in the PSP and when starts I begin to realize is a card strategy game... (before that there was nothing that I could hate more). I was destroyed so I left it hoklding for a while until I didn't have anything to play... When really getting into to it I've completely change my mind...That game made me addicted.. somehow they manage to make a great card game with MG... at the end is Kojima game... in the few past days after years ... I'm playing MG acid 2 for the first time.. I didn't know about... I'm back excited like a kid !!!!!
One PSP game that I remember playing on the PSP displays was this demo for an isometric game where you played as townsfolk who pick up random shit and throw them at vikings who were invaded their town. Edit: It's "When Vikings Attack" btw.
oh my GODS I am so glad you mentioned Coded Arms (and its sequel), I loved those. My personal PSP favourite probably has to go to Ace Combat X, a surprisingly well designed portable version of the Ace Combat formula; Medievil Resurrection is also a rather lovely ambitious remake on the original game. Some aren't a fan of the added mascot character of sorts though, but I do enjoy the narration from Tom Baker.
One of my most favorite handhelds made by Sony during the early years, and I've played some of the most memorable games with that system, and of course I didn't played some of the games that came out with that handheld console. Seriously now I feel like going back and play my PSP.
First I'd like to do a big shoutout to the legend that is Dark_Alex. Loved that thing. Bought a japanese PSP-1000 with 1.5 firmware off of ebay back then. With few "modifications" it could be turned into your personal entertainment center. Used to carry it around everywhere to listen to music, watch movies, emulate stuff and play all those great games of course. Had to retire it couple of years ago, after the analog sticks broke and the battery pack literally cracked...wasn't worth it anymore to replace stuff unfortunately.
Bro deadhead Fred was one of most weirdest game I ever played when I was a teenager. The concept was bizarre but I actually fell in love with the game itself
I must say, you mentioned "Getbackers". I actually have the DVD set. Ginji amano for life yo. Love the videos, and your style. Seriously, keep it up amigo.
The Final Fantasy IV collection for PSP was great. It was a remaster more or less before Pixel Remastered and even came with it's own version of FFIV after years.

My favorite PSP game is Lumines.
My favorite is probably MM Powered Up, but MGS Portable Ops was a close second.
Love It austineruption Bro.
i wont forget, you have to do your annually new SAO game review @austineruption
I know this is random, but the Frogger PSP game isn't the stinker you're thinking of.
"This is now 18 years old" broke my brain for a few seconds there.
Seriously. I remember it like it was yesterday. Christmas morning 04-05(forget the time) James brown died then vice city stories and power stone was how I mourned. Also! Everything happened 10 years ago. Repeat this mantra and eventually you'll believe it.
Are you feeling old yet?
Wait another 5-8 years and the switch will be a memory. Time has a way of humbling your ass no matter the age
I honestly thought it would be older
The PSP was the last handheld I owned. My favorite of all time. Favorite games are the two God of War games, Crisis Core, Wipeout, Tomb Raider Legends, and Dissidia.
The PSP Dissidia was amazing. It is a shame that they ruined it with the PS4 version.
@@cmallory7511 i agree dissidia on the psp was epic and i tried the ps4 one sucked

gta vice city stories, daxter and kingdom hearts birth by sleep
Same. It introduced me to the convenience of handheld gaming, as well as my Monster Hunter addiction.
edit:
Oh misread, I thought they said "first".

Yesss both of them are truly wonderful
Agreed, it’s nice we can play what I could refer to as “the lost yakuza chapters”
The first one is completed? I thought the 2nd one got completely patched and the first is WIP
@@verqu3450 Only just recently went 1.0 I think
You guy know any english patched psp games?

At least the PSP can run off the charge cable even if you don't have a battery in it.
This is true! Though the expansion warped the screen a bit cause it was IN the closet.

Well they're both now fully english patched, so you may as well just jump in
Fun fact: the whole reason I bought my PSP was to play Size Matters because I was such a huge Ratchet & Clank fan. Same reason I played every PS2 entry and most of the PS3 entries. It's kind of crazy that it's 18 years old now
I bought it because of that and Daxter
Powered up is definitely in my top 3 megaman games. I mean holy hell. That’s how you do a remake.
Over 20 NG+ saves on both Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank
About 700 hours in all Patapon games
And after all these years I still couldn’t find that one remaining Precursor Orb in Daxter
austin and rebel taxi uploading videos about the psp in the same week is 1 thing, but somehow they managed 2 talk about entirely different games. not sure what that means but it's something. i still remember buying the psp with summer job money back in the day. i have a lot of love 4 the little thing.
thanks for reminding me of some games that were absolute bangers for me as a kid. one interesting psp game that I have reminded myself about was called Crush.
For some reason I knew that a PSP video would come eventually.
Mega Man Powered Up was my first Mega Man game and was the reason I became a Mega Man fan. Sonic Rivals 1 and 2 were also personal favorites as a kid.
I remember watching my bro play Crisis Core on this :’) haven’t seen him in 14+ years now I hope he’s doing well
I remember some of the games in this video especially Pursuit Force and Half Minute Hero! Also I remember playing and finishing Hammerin' Hero when I was in the hospital 13 years ago.
They did put both Pursuit Force games on PS Plus, albeit fairly choppy emulations.
I'm not sure if these qualify as forgotten gems, but the Trails series definitely deserves more love💗
In my opinion it needs less. Hugely overrated unless we're talking about the older ones. So boring and generic.
Please...no.
I literally cannot get away from this series no matter where I go. Even more so when it comes to the awful fanbase.
@@shadowmaksim okay, as someone who just got into the series, my first game being trails from zero, what am I missing exactly?
Man I can't get over the random times this man uses Legend of Dragoon music. It hits me in the nostalgia.
There are few thing that bring me the same joy as a new Austin Eruption videos, those few things being, Pokemon Emerald, Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, and my dogs. Keep the videos coming!
And Repping the best soap on the planet. Absolute legend.
Lethal alliance was actually pretty cool
Rebeltaxi and Austin Eruption releasing a weird psp games vid in the same week, Coincidence….i think NOT!!!
lol right?! great minds think alike
Man, Scott Wozniak, TripleJump and Austin Erection all three recommending "Dead Head Fred" to me within the same month, despite me NEVER having heard about that game before, just has to be a sign to actually check it out.
Or how about Austin and PanPizza talking about Megaman Powered UP the same week lol
Wait wait wait... Austin ERECTION?!
Hows it underrated? It sold over 80 million you mong.
(Subscribed to Rebel Taxi as well)
Wow two PSP game videos in my sub feed back to back? Sick.
Ah, I see that you're a person of culture, as well
Before watching this I only remembered the PSP as my Daxter machine, completely forgetting I had Killzone and Coded Arms! Core memory unlocked
There was a ton of MegaMan games being released around that time. The market was flooded.
Because people hate cutesy stuff and they think edgy character with dark story is the only way to sell well a game
AC!D and AC!D 2 are my two favourite MGS games. I've never liked stealth games but for some reason card games scratch a perfect itch in my head for video games. I had so much fun with then. Loved them.
Fact that both Austin Eruption and RebelTaxi release video about PSP and someone playing PSP in Madame Web in same week! It good time being a PSP fan.
2 PsP videos from rebel taxi and austin back to back. This is a great week
The PSP is probably my favorite handheld, it had so many great games in it!
- God of War: Chains of Olympus
- Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep
- Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy
- SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny
- The 3rd Birthday
- Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection
- Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
This and RebelTaxi's "Weird and Wonderful PSP Games" coming out just a couple days ago is perfect timing.
I totally forgot about Coded Arms but it was one of my favorite games that I had for PSP!! Thanks for unlocking that memory for me
Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade was my favorite game on the psp but I don’t have a psp anymore and wonder if it’s as good as I remember
I love when my UA-cam subscriptions match up, RebelTaxi just did a PSP video as well, and I'm sure Austin's is gonna be a great follow up!!
Yay! Someone else who knows about how awesome Dead Head Fred was! :D
Dr. Cox as a mostly undread protagonist was the best :)
Glad to see WTF get some recognition. When I had it I was getting all the "left of center" type of titles. And I love the hell out of the Ramen timer
Both you and RebelTaxi released similar videos around the same week.
Similar topic, but the content is unique in each.
I played 300 March of Glory to DEATH back in 2007-08. Good to see you talk about it.
Rebel Taxi is more popular than we thought, huh?
Patchwork Heroes is a PSP oddity that I never hear anyone talk about. It has an interesting concept for a puzzle(?) game.
I miss the PSP. I loved loved Loco Roco and Patapon. I still have the music in my ears from both of the games. They were so damn good.
I played so much of the PSP. Probably still my favorite handheld. Metal Gear Peace Walker and Phantasy Portable 2 absolutely defined my High School years.
Peace Walker and Portable Ops are the best
Carnage Heart EXA would like to have a word with any forgotten PSP retrospective. Hell, that entire franchise is a lost hidden gem.
i remember very well when I bought Metal Gear Acid...
I'm gonna miss outrun coast 2 coast 2006..... It was on the psp and then faded away into time, never to be seen again..... Thanks sega
oh my GODS I am so glad you mentioned Coded Arms (and its sequel), I loved those.
Seriously now I feel like going back and play my PSP.
my favorite game for the longest time was the Star Wars Renegade Squadron i received with my darth vader psp. so damn nostalgic.
I remember playing Resistance Retribution and Rachet and Clank Size Matters for hours on the PSP.
*Is having flashbacks of playing Dissidia Final Fantasy for the PSP when I was a teenager during high school years.*
Kingdom of Paradise and Gladiator Begins are things I still play. So good, unfortunately they're forgotten.
Good looking out Austin, it had been a while since I checked my battery!
I LOVED Mega Man Powered Up! I was devastated by the online level service shutdown 😢
Wow, I got two videos about interesting PSP games in my sub box in the same week?
We portable playstation handheld fans are _eating_
Fun Trivia: one of the programmers of EXIT was actually ZUN , the creator of Touhou Project.
