      @@brads3620 Not easy. They collected water inside and rotted away. Nissans did not. But people coddle Toyota when any other brand with the same problem would get roasted. Toyota is like the high school jock that gets away with things no one else would, because the brand has become a personal identify thing for some reason, like people who defend "their" football team no matter how crappy they perform.
      Strange psychological phenomenon.

      @jeanclaude7018 nissans are notorious for rust lol. I had a rogue that would easily rust even inside in the driver foot well, under the seats, etc. And this was despite keeping it clean and away from water.

    • @jeanclaude7018
      @jeanclaude7018 17 днів тому

      @@asadb1990 Here is more of the generalization that drives me nuts. It's like the popular lie that Nissans are notorious for "bad transmissions," which is ONLY restricted to the CVT. After 50 years of driving conventional Nissan transmissions, I have NEVER been able to wear one out, and my current one has 427,000 miles.
      Likewise, perhaps your model was prone to rust, as was the original Z car.
      But among trucks, the most infamous rust were certain years of Tacoma. The actual frames, due to poor construction, rusted to the point of breaking in half, and thousands of them were completely replaced by Toyota. The Toy Boys are quick to say they have not heard of this, but it's verifiable history. No Nissan truck ever had a bad issue like this. That's why when critics try to say the new Frontier has an old frame, I say they got that boxed frame right the first time, , while Tacomas were rotting away, so why should they "fix" what's not broken?

    2017 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E is the best vehicle I've owned.. Runs as tight and strong as the day I bought it.. So easy to live with and use.
    Two way tailgate, trunk in bed, speakers in bed, inverter in bed.. All practical to use.
    Radar cruise control is a life saver.
    Would not buy it to tow 3000lbs + loads regularly. Would not take it off road...

    I’m impressed with that Nissan Frontier even though I’ve always been in love with Toyota Tacoma’s. I noticed that @12:04 when you opened the door, the speaker on the door said, “Fender”?! Did you get a chance to check out the sound system? Now I’m beginning to second guess if I should trade in my 2023 Altima for a Frontier instead of going with a 4 Runner 🤔
    My issue is I already have a 2012 Honda Pilot with 96k on it and it’s technically not my vehicle, it belongs to my “dogs” 😂 None of them have been in the Altima because well ya know it’s newer blah blah blah but I need to make a final decision in October when my lease is up and just want to purchase a good truck like this Frontier, or get my dream vehicle, a 4 Runner. I don’t like the idea of having 2 SUV’s unless I get rid of my Pilot. I don’t know what to do anymore Scotty. I’m torn and to be honest, if I could afford it, I’d just get rid of my Pilot and Altima for a Nissan GTR! That would never happen because my dogs need their own vehicle 😂

    The TPMS system on the Ridgeline has to be kept operating or you can't turn off the traction control system, which you absolutely need to be able to do if you are going up a snowy/icy hill or if you get stuck. It's the worst thing about the "truck" I've experienced after owning one for about 7 years.

    I wouldn't mind having an older Ford Ranger with the manual transmission. Those 2.3 4 cylinders could last a long time if you kept the oil changed in them. They can't carry or tow what a full size truck can but most people are going to be pulling a 40,000 pound RV trailer. If I had one of those I would be going for the F-450 with the turbo diesel.

    5:50 Fact Check: As a man who has lived on Guam pretty much all his life (since 1990), I can tell you, we don't make car batteries here. We don't have the raw materials, we don't import said raw materials or components to make such batteries. We import over 90% of what we use in our day-to-day lives and export next to nothing. If you take another look at the battery in question, you might notice Guam is just one of 5 places that particular model of battery was distributed from, and it seems it was made by a company called "Clarios", a rather Mexican sounding company name that I have never heard of before. I recognize the name of the company that has the Guam distribution rights, Atkins Kroll, the dealership that carries Toyota. Note that there are 4 companies in locations noted to be distributors of that battery, the others are in Plano Texas, Honolulu Hawaii, San Juan Puerto Rico, Pago Pago and American Samoa.

    To begin with, a guy was starting to "have problems" with his F150, and we don't know what those were. 122k is less than 10k miles per year, the avg is 16k miles per year, so technically that F150 is considered low mileage, not worn out. So instead of addressing the supposed issues which could very well be a cheap fix, he takes his bad credit and goes into debt on an even more expensive pickup that is far less capable than the one he got rid of. A trade-in of $11k is on the higher end of trade in value for a low-end 2011 F150, so the dealer apparently didn't seem to think the truck had as many problems as the owner did when they inspected and test drove it, otherwise he would have gotten much less. The best way to build your credit fast is to get a credit card, make small purchases, and pay it down each month while still leaving a small balance. Not go into long-term debt with a set payment each month. Hell, the guy could have gotten a credit card, used that to "repair" his F150, and then paid that off over time, improved his credit, and maintained positive equity in what I'm assuming was a paid off truck.
