You definitely need a part two. IDK if you finished watching it or not, but the way the pastor talked to him was way different then you think. Pastor great man of wisdom and knowledge. It's all about God's grace and mercy HE has for us. Church /religion has messed us up for so long. A lot of religious mindsets need to drop from ppl because it's all about having a personal relationship w/our Heavenly Father.

This is a very encouraging story, Johnny was seeing the signs that was leading down the his path. I agree also some people can change if they want it, but most of the time they have to be sat down for a decade or so before they get it.

One of your best videos yet. Your analysis, relation to yourself, and the connections made was very insightful. Im glad that your channels aren't only humorous and entertaining but also thoughtful. Great work. Maybe you could make some videos about some books you've read, how they helped you inside of prison, and then how that knowledge translated after you were out. Thanks dubs. Much appreciated.

Man both of y'alls stories are like an exact mixed together version of mine. Exactly. And to the point I can literally predict whatever this man Johnny and you are about to say when y'all explain something. From the household and growing up and to juvie gladiator school and everything. If I lost a fight as a kid and even jumped then I would get beat when I came home and literally locked out the house until I somehow won. And just getting beating at home so much it was a regular occurrence for me. And not a single person on my side. And I'm a kid. I had to live alone and felt no love and support in the same home. I didn't even know what love is or what it's supposed to be. I don't even remember getting a hug. And I too would cry because so mad I would black out and not know what's going on and what happened. One time at 12 I got attempted murder and kidnapping and I didn't know I did. When I came to everyone was looking at me in shock and I look down at my hand holding a pocket knife and everyone saying I put it to someone's throat. Anyway I became a sociopath and didn't even know it until years and years later. I used to think at any moment and any one day I will automatically click in my mind and be a seriel killer. I used to wait for it to happen. And I didn't care about life for many many many reasons and especially because I was like what is the point if I'm going to be in prison one day anyway and become a seriel killer. I'm so glad now that it never happened and 10 years ago I changed. One day instead of my brain randomly clicking into a seriel killer my brain instead clicked into wanting to be good and having actual love in my heart. I don't know how but without knowing love and what love is my heart just randomly wanted to be filled with love and just wanted to be a loving and caring person. I'll just stop there. God Bless and peace and happiness to everyone!

Love to hear people that found a way to change their lives tell their stories. It’s a damn shame that rather than encouraging people to do the right thing and change their lives (what society claims it wants from criminals), we put up obstacle after obstacle.
Maybe it’s just me because of my own experiences in life but I really respect people that had to pull themselves out of hell, identify and confront their demons, and live a good life even though society in many ways has abandoned us.
I’m definitely interested in seeing a part two of johnnys story.

I enjoy this channel very much. It's easy for people like me to forget how some kids are abused and what ongoing damage that can do. My parents were perfect compared to others and heroin addiction impacted over half my life. The abuse kids can receive is horrible to the individual and also impacts society negativity.

I was taught in a prison class, finding a job is a job itself, how to tailor make your app for every job. I was encouraged to Mark the no felonies box. Also learn to fill out 15-20 apps a day, beating odds. And has worked for me all my life. It allowed better jobs, my union job would be there every time I paroled behind addiction. Dubs brings back memories I thought I forgot. Like camp Bullion

Johnny’s a real one & a genuinely changed man in my opinion, Much respect to him & u dubss for the evidence of change we see in you daily 💯 Adam bro your story about your dad & that fight caused a dejavu, I remember the same type of deal a big ole black dude several grades above me from a black gang sucker punched me at school than jumped me viciously, When I came home bruised & broken told my dad what happen & he said get in the car, We drove to that particular gangs street eucalyptus in Bellflower & that dude that sucker punched me was there, My dad demanded I get my fair one & he would make sure it stayed that way, My dad was a G himself reputable in sela & about that business! I got the better of the dude one on one & when 2 others tried to jump in my dad popped the trunk & beat one of the 2 severely with a tire iron as the other one ran, When we left not another word was spoken of the incident

Yep Dubs your right even if I had my felony within five years I would still lie & not Check the box. Most employers are just lazy & won't check. But recently in the past five years it's been extremely difficult for me to get a job. Why because with new technology they could pay one-time fees to look up multiple people on background checks.
I haven't been in trouble "felonies" for over 12yrs yet my background pops up in every interview. Employers now put on the application "that they will go back a lifetime" & will deny you depending on your record. Mine is looong, so it took 25 interviews & 25 rejections for me to give up.... Meaning I had to go to temp agencies (which I hate) but I knew once I get my foot in the door I got the job.
That's the difference from my youth to today "I just didn't give up" it's a hustle to get a job 💪🏾
