Dude, I really do like Gorge, but sometimes he just comes off as a know-it-all. That’s my only issue with him. Like, dude, humble yourself- not everybody’s being offensive. He’s just trying to figure things out. You don’t have to make people feel like it’s a weird thing or something, specifically talking about the dog situation. This is the issue with celebrities. Your wife doesn’t act like this, Gorge. She seems to be more understanding and humble-just saying.

It's truly so beautiful and you can't say that wasn't God.. He disarmed himself and trust in the lord and forsake the thoughts that told him what a fool he would be to ask for forgiveness from his father.. The breaking of generational curses was lifted right before our eyes! Thank you Johnny, for always being vulnerable. Just a thought, his story needs to be a movie! Speaking that into fruition!

i'm part of Johnny's online congregation and have recieved a lot of lessons from him. At 30 years old I have tried to lead my own life but constantly failed and have been left in misery. I am so thankful that God has lead me to him and allows me to accept the Gospel that Minister Johnny Preaches. I've learned the word of God through Minister and truly there is nothing else that can bring everlasting hope as the true gospel. Whether it's self help, personal development gurus... Compared to the true Gospel, those other things are just band aids like George had mentioned
One hour in...I'm thinking I was way off. First, I thought he was outlandish because he said he preached the Gospel to his dog. And now I am thinking, "this guy knows the Word very very well."
So excited for this episode! Pastor Johnny’s testimony is a great example of knowing how merciful and loving our Heavenly Father is. His redemption story is undeniable to anyone Christian or not.
The part about his dad hit so close to home! It had me in tears because I have a similar situation with my dad - we are currently going on almost 15 years of no relationship (my step-mom was awful, very emotionally abusive and they both abuse cigarettes and marijuana). Well, I'm his only child and I couldn't deal with it anymore, and so I walked away at 17 years old. I was angry for a long time that he didn't try to come after me or apologize or admit his wrong doings, and mad that he didn't choose me. It absolutely devastated me and I went down a very dark path for about 10 years or so. Well literally in just the past few days God has been putting it in my heart to write my dad a letter and send him a Bible, (which for context, the last two times I tried to reach out to him and tell him I got married, was pregnant, and sent my daughter's first year of life pictures and photos, he did not respond) so it makes me mad that I have to do all the reaching out and put myself out there for him repeatedly in vain. And I remember I saw him once in 2019 in person, and we had breakfast and he was super fidgety like Johnny's dad was. I've been very torn lately about my dad, and couldn't understand why God would want me to do this. I have for a long time now had every expectation that we would never talk again and I would just get a phone call one day that he passed, and I fully accepted that. So as I'm starting to watch this episode, everything in me wanted to turn it off and I was annoyed, which normally I don't feel that way when I watch this podcast so I thought it was strange and just kept watching. I see what God is trying to do with my dad, but it still seems like it's a dream to repair my relationship with my dad and that it will always stay a dream and never actually happen. I'm barely coming up on a year with my walk with God, but the way He moves is still so beautiful to watch. And yes, I will be doing as God is asking me and will be writing him a letter and getting a Bible to send. And I will be writing this letter directly under God's guidance. **and just for extra context, as I'm writing this, multiple times I've had thoughts of don't write this, this is stupid, who cares, why are you sharing, etc. The enemy is REAL people! But God has me in His hands and the peace and love that comes with that is just pure beauty 🙏❤️
I’m part of the COTH community. I would say even though I don’t have any kids and I’m not married , I loved the way Johnny explained how he raised his son where he didn’t have to give him a whooping. I have niece and nephew and I’m going to saying those things that Johnny says to his son. It was a true blessing and I appreciate this and please join the COTH community and his Bible study definitely worth joining.

I have heard his testimony 3 times now from different platform but this is the first time he cried while talking about the discussion with his father ❤ God is glorified through your story and thanks for sharing it.
Literally this episode was divine timing for me. My mother chose drugs over me for 26 years. To summarize she’s needed help from my aunt basically since I was born whether financially or for housing. My mother in May decided to rob my aunt and that was her final straw and kicked her out. I took her in even though everyone told me not to. I tried to help her I said this is what God would want me to do. She’s so mentally ill, not in a rude way it’s just a fact. I couldn’t help her. I was trying but her inner struggle attacked me 2 days ago. She was calling me a liar yelling at me saying so much disrespectful stuff. She was so manic and out of her mind i had to sleep with my door barricaded and hid all the knives and things that could be used for weapons in my home. I had to kick her out yesterday, and while I did that she started manipulating my sister saying how if she resorts to drugs again she’s done for. It took everything out of me to not change my mind. I’m broken, because I know that she’s probably back on drugs doing whatever and just this morning I told myself I’m done I cannot have a relationship anymore. It’s to painful. She’s never been a mother to me now I’m mothering her and this can’t be my life forever. Just to clarify I love this podcast since I found it a while back. But this episode is the Holy Spirit speaking to me through you guys. My thoughts are not of my own right now they are of the devil because the outcome with just cause me further pain. I need to look to the Bible to help me through the hard times and pain I’m going through right now. I love you guys, and I thank the Lord for letting your podcast truly speak to and help people.
Jesus loves you, He always will, but if you deny Him, He will deny you, you must step out of your lukewarm life, and into the Light. Don’t expect anything from God if you don’t do anything for Him.

I wanted to stop at the animal thing cuz I’ll forget by the time it’s over. My cats always sit on my Bible, open or closed. If it’s on the bed or accessible to them they will choose to be near it somehow, or even put a paw on it if their whole body isn’t. I’ve also noticed that all my animals are way more calm when worship is on. I dont know I think it’s kinda cute.
The part in the beginning about dogs is so true..I was on vacation in Mexico a couple of weeks ago and the amount of homeless dogs broke my heart but I always got approached by so many ❤they would just follow me..they just know.

As a Christian someone who actively struggles with OCD, his words on not allowing your life to be dictated by your own thoughts really spoke to me. OCD is referred to as the ‘thief of time’ simply due to the ease with which one can spend time ruminating and getting lost in your own mind. If you’re reading this and you struggle with intrusive thoughts/OCD, you’re not alone. Cast all your worries onto Him. The closer you get to God, the easier it is to see through the tactics of the enemy and you will slowly be set free. I remember one time I had a great time in prayer just praising god and just talking to God, the when I was done and getting ready for bed I had just the most blasphemous thought enter my head and it just crushed me. It stayed with me for like 2 days and it made me feel just so tormented and I was just pleading with God to forgive me and asking him to take these intrusive thoughts from me. I think it’s true how God is beyond our understanding on the things we deal with. I imagined it as if we have even a fraction of God’s love and someone came to us for forgiveness and we could see their heart and knew they were sincere, how fast would we would forgive them? Praise our God who is quick to forgive the ones who come to him with sorrow and looking for peace.

i'm part of Johnny's online congregation and have recieved a lot of lessons from him. At 30 years old I have tried to lead my own life but constantly failed and have been left in misery. I am so thankful that God has lead me to him and allows me to accept the Gospel that Minister Johnny Preaches. I've learned the word of God through Minister and truly there is nothing else that can bring everlasting hope as the true gospel. Whether it's self help, personal development gurus... Compared to the true Gospel, those other things are just band aids like George had mentioned

The part about his dad hit so close to home! It had me in tears because I have a similar situation with my dad - we are currently going on almost 15 years of no relationship (my step-mom was awful, very emotionally abusive and they both abuse cigarettes and marijuana).
Well, I'm his only child and I couldn't deal with it anymore, and so I walked away at 17 years old. I was angry for a long time that he didn't try to come after me or apologize or admit his wrong doings, and mad that he didn't choose me. It absolutely devastated me and I went down a very dark path for about 10 years or so.
Well literally in just the past few days God has been putting it in my heart to write my dad a letter and send him a Bible, (which for context, the last two times I tried to reach out to him and tell him I got married, was pregnant, and sent my daughter's first year of life pictures and photos, he did not respond) so it makes me mad that I have to do all the reaching out and put myself out there for him repeatedly in vain. And I remember I saw him once in 2019 in person, and we had breakfast and he was super fidgety like Johnny's dad was.
I've been very torn lately about my dad, and couldn't understand why God would want me to do this. I have for a long time now had every expectation that we would never talk again and I would just get a phone call one day that he passed, and I fully accepted that.
So as I'm starting to watch this episode, everything in me wanted to turn it off and I was annoyed, which normally I don't feel that way when I watch this podcast so I thought it was strange and just kept watching.
I see what God is trying to do with my dad, but it still seems like it's a dream to repair my relationship with my dad and that it will always stay a dream and never actually happen. I'm barely coming up on a year with my walk with God, but the way He moves is still so beautiful to watch. And yes, I will be doing as God is asking me and will be writing him a letter and getting a Bible to send. And I will be writing this letter directly under God's guidance.
**and just for extra context, as I'm writing this, multiple times I've had thoughts of don't write this, this is stupid, who cares, why are you sharing, etc. The enemy is REAL people! But God has me in His hands and the peace and love that comes with that is just pure beauty 🙏❤️

I’m part of the COTH community. I would say even though I don’t have any kids and I’m not married , I loved the way Johnny explained how he raised his son where he didn’t have to give him a whooping. I have niece and nephew and I’m going to saying those things that Johnny says to his son. In the same way they are discussing self control-- just because there's a "good reason" to do something, doesn't mean self control isn't warranted. I have heard his testimony 3 times now from different platform but this is the first time he cried while talking about the discussion with his father ❤ God is glorified through your story and thanks for sharing it.
Literally this episode was divine timing for me.
My mother chose drugs over me for 26 years. To summarize she’s needed help from my aunt basically since I was born whether financially or for housing. My mother in May decided to rob my aunt and that was her final straw and kicked her out. I took her in even though everyone told me not to. I tried to help her I said this is what God would want me to do.
She’s so mentally ill, not in a rude way it’s just a fact. I couldn’t help her. I was trying but her inner struggle attacked me 2 days ago. She was calling me a liar yelling at me saying so much disrespectful stuff. She was so manic and out of her mind i had to sleep with my door barricaded and hid all the knives and things that could be used for weapons in my home.
I had to kick her out yesterday, and while I did that she started manipulating my sister saying how if she resorts to drugs again she’s done for. It took everything out of me to not change my mind. I’m broken, because I know that she’s probably back on drugs doing whatever and just this morning I told myself I’m done I cannot have a relationship anymore. It’s to painful. She’s never been a mother to me now I’m mothering her and this can’t be my life forever.
Just to clarify I love this podcast since I found it a while back. But this episode is the Holy Spirit speaking to me through you guys. My thoughts are not of my own right now they are of the devil because the outcome with just cause me further pain. I need to look to the Bible to help me through the hard times and pain I’m going through right now.

I wanted to stop at the animal thing cuz I’ll forget by the time it’s over. My cats always sit on my Bible, open or closed. If it’s on the bed or accessible to them they will choose to be near it somehow, or even put a paw on it if their whole body isn’t. I’ve also noticed that all my animals are way more calm when worship is on. I dont know I think it’s kinda cute.
My cat does that too. A few times when I was reading my Bible my cat jumped on the desk and sat on my bible. I took pictures.

The part in the beginning about dogs is so true..I was on vacation in Mexico a couple of weeks ago and the amount of homeless dogs broke my heart but I always got approached by so many ❤they would just follow me..they just know.

There's something steering inside of you over this, whether it be from the enemy or God. Please keep bringing this question to our feather in heaven so you can find your peace. As Johnny kept saying, don't trust yourself, ask God and trust him, trust that if it's wrong he will fufill that need/want with something greater.

Im so grateful to God for Pastor Johnny Chang! I consider him my pastor even though I have never met him personally. Through him, I was able to learn the true Gospel of Jesus Christ! I have been set free from doubts and fear about losing my salvation. Since a year-and-a-half ago, when I saw him on Soft White Underbelly, my life has changed. God has used him to change my way of thinking through the gospel. I am thankful to God for Pastor Johnny and for putting him in my life! As a Christian someone who actively struggles with OCD, his words on not allowing your life to be dictated by your own thoughts really spoke to me. OCD is referred to as the ‘thief of time’ simply due to the ease with which one can spend time ruminating and getting lost in your own mind.
If you’re reading this and you struggle with intrusive thoughts/OCD, you’re not alone. Cast all your worries onto Him. The closer you get to God, the easier it is to see through the tactics of the enemy and you will slowly be set free. It’s never left for me, but it’s gotten significantly easier 😊

I remember one time I had a great time in prayer just praising god and just talking to God, the when I was done and getting ready for bed I had just the most blasphemous thought enter my head and it just crushed me. It stayed with me for like 2 days and it made me feel just so tormented and I was just pleading with God to forgive me and asking him to take these intrusive thoughts from me. I think it’s true how God is beyond our understanding on the things we deal with. I imagined it as if we have even a fraction of God’s love and someone came to us for forgiveness and we could see their heart and knew they were sincere, how fast would we would forgive them? Praise our God who is quick to forgive the ones who come to him with sorrow and looking for peace.
