Imagine if the conversation between Nick and random citizen went like Random citizen: Oh no, you’re here to snatch me aren’t you? Nick: Why would the institute want to snatch you twice?
The Stealth Suit MKII, the Sink Central Intelligence, and all the personalities in the Sink are without a doubt, my favorite AI in all of Fallout. They all have such amazing charm and personalities that really make Big MT feel more alive and gives you the perfect player home that won't make you feel lonely. Even if some of the personalities of the Sink have their quirks.
I really like ADA because she seems to be at the mid-step of becoming sentient like Codsworth and Curie. Like the first glimmer of emotion and personal wants, and she doesn't understand it. Above a regular robot, but below the others. An evolutionary in-between.
What really grinds my gears is the logic that synths don't die to radiation, there is no logic in that if their cells aren't in any way related to ghouls or unfused with FEV.
It can actually make sense, Synths have immitation cells, meaning they are meant to react like human cells, but they could be resistant or even immune to the side-effects of radiation damage, such as genetic mutation and cancers. But even heat and light are forms of radiation, so just like a sunburn is caused by light radiation, a radiation burn appears essentially identical. So a synth would still suffer cell damage just like getting shot with a laser, but they wouldnt develop cancers, but they would scar, they would still get radiation sickness as cells throughout their body are killed, and this could be deadly, just like being put in a microwave, no-one is surviving such levels or micro-wave radiation any more than they would nuclear radiation standing beside Chernobyl the day it blew.
@@Atmatan to be honest I fully agree much like how people believe China dropped the bomb in fallout it was a headcanon that may or may not have been confirmed in the fallout tv show.
@Atmatan well too bad we dont have any actual science regarding synths, that is why i am SPECULATING. But everything points to synths having synthetic cells which supports the idea they do not react the same as human/fully biological cells. That is all I'm trying to say, its just a theory, i never said anything was canon but maybe my own headcanon did slip in there for a bit lol
14:04 the sole survivor taking rad damage does not disprove the possibility of them being a synth as gen 3 synths, beyond the synth component that they all carry are fully organic (being indistinguishable from humans down to the celluar level). The whole point of gen 3 synths was for them to be as indistinguishable from humans as possible so having them be immune to rads would contradict that purpose. As for the possibility of the sole survivor being a synth personality I dont beleive it as Father wants you to take over the institute which with how he sees synths he would never allow if you were one. TLDR: Gen 3 Synths are basically just 3d printed humansand therefore are not immmune to rads
Except gen 3 synths arent made of the same stuff humans are 😂 sure we're identical down to a cellular level, that dosnt mean they are made of the same fleshy stuff we are that's weak to radiation Since they are in fact SYNTHETIC they probably wouldnt be affected by rads.
I might have been thinking of Max Loken's line about diseases. That being said though, they aren't a 1:1 copy of humanity in that regard. Don't need to eat or sleep and they apparently don't age, gain weight and can't be affected by diseases. I'm curious does it ever mention specifically that Gen 3's are affected by radiation?
Actually the institute seeing synths as tools is a misconception they see the synths built as tools to be tools but not synths as a whole -For instance father treats robo Shaun like a son saying “do you think you can love him like a real boy” and “please take care of him after he dies”
Thanks buddy, and I appreciate that! Going to drop you a message on Discord about that, glad to have these two videos out of the way to move on to some new stuff!
I feel like Ada should've had a similar moment of self identity like Codsworth & Curie. She doesn't have to become a synth like Curie, but at least something
She does though. She has survivor's guilt and at one point wishes that she could just turn off her personality (effectively killing herself) However she comes to realize that she has a personality for a reason and that she needs to live on for her friends.
It's grim that Fallout 4 has two options for synths who don't want to live as slaves: commit suic*de or join a cult. I really like the Railroad, but it's a tough pill to swallow that their solution is to reset the escaped synths. Even though the synths still stuck in the Institute treat that like capital punishment whenever the threat is voiced by one of the scientists. Although at least they won't force it on the escapees, just strongly suggest it because it's more convenient for everyone. On the other hand Acadia offers nothing of real world value, not even the certainty of identity. It's purely an _intentional community_ organized under a leader who is so far barely on the right side of the uplifting/abusive curve but shows tendencies that make me doubt it will last.
I never get the "AI is evil because it thinks like us and we cant check it" Like bro.. check if you see anyone else thoughts. 😂 Jokes aside, I like Curie. Imagine if all the robots were nice like her... with the plasma flamer 😂
Honestly I supported Dima in the campaign. At least we didn’t have to kill anyone (aside from the occasional trapper and a few of the creatures of the fog 😔)! (During the campaign that is)
@generic_gamerTag Oh I definitely want to do one, but will probably start with a Vault's shorts series first. Probably have a go at tackling the big one nearer the end of the year.
Meanwhile in fallout London Immanuel kant is in the nuclear submarine as a weapon of mass destruction and instead of exploding he wants to discuss German honor and poetry but on the other hand he doesn't want to be lonely and he made the commanding officers become ghouls and they imprisoned themselves to stop him from exploding so morality is a 50/50 probably and have a wonderful day 👍
The poor physical limitations of their technology seems to left more room for digital limitations to expand further...Even though that makes no sense lol Like, the AL'S in fallout seemed to be burdened by their physical state, and yet,it gives them more time, and energy to focus on "higher" things?
@@jeffdroog I think when you can make a plasma gun that can burn almost anything, i think the computer sciences arent that hard to do.
