I have a 12 rt awd max with mild mufflers. Her in pa, I have emissions to pass, so I’d have to keep putting stuff on and taking it back off every year. But I learned when I was younger when I straight piped my Ford Torino that louder isn’t always better. Every cop in 3 counties knew when I was racing.

Sounds good. Ditch the factory fake tips & get some that exit a bit behind the bumper cover. Will sound better inside & out. Best thing I did after cat back exhaust on mine.

Straight pipe when the cat are off too. Just don't get mixed. This is called mid-muffler delete. Straight pipe when everthing straight from front to back. Sounds good but throw those fake tips away and throw some good tips on. Make a different and looks meaner. Just want to clarify cause people ask alot or say they straight pipe when they have the cat on or x-pipe in the middle. Hemi for life. Much love brother.
i understand where ur coming from, but many people have different definitions of straight piped. technically speaking, if u get rid of a muffler or resonator, you are straight piping it. my definition is from the cats to the rear is a full straight pipe. we only did a mid muffler delete like u said, but the rears were already cut off.

Check engine light only for cats. We did a muffler delete. Car already had resonator delete

That’s false info. Had the cats taken out as well fully straight piped. No check engine light , passed emissions.
When u delete ur cats they have adapter extension for o2s so can pass emission
