- 2/17/22 Episode 1: What up y'all! Welcome to the ultimate (North American) bus mod for BeamNG! The long-awaited update has broken the barriers of simulation!
This episode is only the intro, providing an overview of the mod; there will be a series! In the following episodes, we'll take a closer look at each skin, each powertrain combination, and of course, the jake brake!

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS
-I do not own BeamNG or the stock bus!
-The default engines and transmissions will be replaced!
-Install at your own risk! As of game version 0.24, this mod needs to patch both common.zip and a core file!
-Non-destructively; other content will not be affected!
-The jake brake in this mod will probably NOT see a semi truck port! It only works well on auto transmissions, plus there are already semi jake brake mods out there!
-When creating custom configs, start from configs included in this mod! Original configs will not work (base, highway, safari etc.)
-When creating custom configs, skins may not map properly for all bus lengths! Start from the CITYBUS and 3AXLECITYBUS sample configs!
-I cannot guarantee SUPPORT, IMPROVEMENTS, FUTURE CONTENT, OR PATCHES for this mod! The codebase has become unwieldy with growth, and due to other commitments, it has become difficult to continue development! Keep in mind each new game version of BeamNG has a chance of this mod breaking entirely and requiring a patch, which I may or may not be able to implement!

Other known issues...
-As of game version 0.24, citybus_patch_0.23_common_for_0.24.zip is required! This re-adds some texture files that are no longer in 0.24!
-engine and transmission sometimes invisible in length mod; should not affect drivability, but can be fixed by spawning 40ft bus first
-length mod may add duplicate entries to the base (40ft) citybus.zip mod, but these are harmless

Due to the time invested (almost 3 years), and volume + quality of content, it'll most likely be a paid mod! This will be a tough decision!
Go join a dev team if you want money for game modifications. A lot more money involved for starters and secondly you won't be screwing people over in the process, beamng updates are gonna tear this mod to shreds like every other mod and charging people for a mod that's gonna be broken in 3 years just screams bad financial decisions. But hey 90% of marketing is dirty marketing so shit 🤷♂️ you go for it. Make that money, plenty of senseless people will buy it.
@@JBeamGT3 Yeah, game updates are only one problem and I don't want people to pay for something that I ain't got the capacity to support 😑 I've already decided against releasing as a paid mod, and there are better ways to make money anyways! I may or may not release it for free eventually, but just like the last iteration, I'm struggling to even find time to upload videos! I'm at that stage in life where I really need to start deciding what is and isn't worth spending time on ⏳Don't mean to involve my personal life into this, but hope everyone understands why I dropped off the radar...

When you say CA skins, I'm surprised to see Community Transit in this video as CT is actually in Seattle/Everett areas
Hot damn! This is just the beginning of pure awesomeness, and I'm super looking forward to them all - including the M11, ISM, Detroit 6V92, and Series 60 - it'll be absolutely epic! From what I heard, that M11 sounds absolutely amazing! Did you ever get a chance to check out that video link I sent you in your previous video? If not, definitely listen to it and leave a comment on it!
