    bro you cant find any videos because its an older, sort of outdated method to do it this way. Wasa Motors sells a "Freewheel" that is about $80 or less and it is essentially a free spinning sprocket that replaces the drive sprocket for the balancing shafts. so it disables the balance shafts and youre good to go. use the same chain and no other parts required. the best mod i have ever done on this car and ive been driving with it in my car now for over 2 years with no problems whatsoever. look up on youtube "wasa motors freewheel install audi a4"

    • @apgarage1863
      @apgarage1863  2 роки тому +3

      Yes you are right! There are other ways to delete the balancing shaft but you till have that big oil pump assembly, taking a large portion of the oil pan, by going this route. You giving your car an extra 1 1/2 QT of oil and a bit higher pressure as well

      The stock pump is prone to failure and also has a balancer attached to it. if it breaks, it might kill your engine, and if you wanna replace it with the same, its about 3K USD where I`m at
      Replacing it with the 1.8T gives you a more stable platform, and you can also buy a high-flow pump ( pushes more oil and has a built in pressure regulator valve)
      Also, you get rid of the whole balancing assembly, so you get better performance ( not that visible on stock, but the engine isa bit more rev-happy)

    Hey bud. Love the video. I did my conversion but kept the stock oil filter housing.
    1) Oil light comes on and off, should I be worried about oil pressure.
    2) when I start the car, cold start the pump is a bit noisy but gets quieter as time goes or when up to Temp is that normal?
    3) I was told to change the oil pressure switch to .6 to 1 bar so the light goes away. Do you suggest I do that?
    4) will the normal tfsi oil filter housing cause any issues?? Should i change the housing to 1.8t?

    Ask anyone, this is a downgrade, the FSI fuel pump is superior, VIS freewheel sprocket disables the balance shafts and is much easier to install than installing the 1.8t oil pump. The balance shafts are the only failure point to the FSI fuel pump. The 1.8t fuel pump requires swapping over to the 1.8t oil filter housing because the FSI oil filter housing doesn't have a pressure release valve so in colder weather you will be running dangerously high oil pressure, this requires an adapter plate and most likely throttle pipe modifications, as well as what some other people are saying which is swapping over a sensor to get rid of the oil pressure light. The 1.8 oil pump isn't even as efficient at the 2.0 pump. It's too much work for a less efficient oil pump.
