What a great development you've had Abi!! great playing and way better sound and cleanness now. Of course as you say there're always things to work out, but think of it like a 90yo pianist would also think he/she still has things to get better, arts are a never ending job! The good thing is you're conscious about it and work and enhance those little, tiny, subtle details and get those better day by day and learn from them. Congratulations for your hard work, keep it coming.
Hello I am a grade 10th and I am very I spired by your Chopin. I’m going to listen to your music for probably a while because your touch/tone is in my opinion very rich. Thanks again for inspiring and motivating me even more ❤
Beautiful playing, Abi. Here's one way you know you're doing something right: every piece I hear you play, I think to myself "I want to play that too!" 🙂 I can hear differences in this 2nd mvt and your standalone version from a year ago, more attention to phrasing in particular. Schubert (like Mozart, IMO) is so easy to play badly, but you've nailed it. Does this complete your junior recital program?
Wow, that's a big compliment! And thank you for pointing out the improvements since my first time learning the second movement. This does complete the program! I'm excited to progress toward the senior recital and eventually share that performance with you all! Thanks again for watching my videos and for the great feedback!!
Hey Abi! I know you're probably out enjoying the great central US beaches, having a carefree summer, oblivious to your fans who are hankering for more of your playing 😀, but as I was sitting here in my sweltering MD music room, trying to make the most of the ~4 hours I get each week to sit down at the piano, I started wondering how you approach learning a new piece of music...things like how you break it apart, how much hands-separate/hands-together practice you do, how much time you spend, how you work it up to speed, etc. That made me wonder, have you ever considered making a video over time documenting learning a piece, beginning to performance-ready? Kind of like your '6 years of piano progress' video but dedicated to a single piece.
Hey! I wish, haha! I've actually been working full-time hours at a local fast-food joint and practicing whenever I find the time. That would be a fantastic video idea. I will begin learning the first movement of a Beethoven sonata soon, and I will definitely plan to systematically work through it and document the process in the event that it might be useful to viewers! Thank you for the inspiration! I wish you all the best in your practice! Have a great summer! :)
@@abiplayspiano2379 thanks Abi! Have fun with the job (yeah right!) and I hope you get some fun time before heading back 😃. Can’t wait for the Beethoven!
