The best part of the video was you saying "attack, stagger and knock down" that was so relaxing shuashu Looks so easy but you need to concentrate a lot to do that without take damage. Nice video ☆
Didn't realize that there were so many combat mechanics that are never explained ingame. Nice vid, certainly is going to change the way I approach some of these enemies.
Brilliant! This was a well thought out exploit of game mechanics. The fact that it can be universally applied to most creatures you face on BBI is an added bonus. Nice work!
Fun fact, I had a pawn named Rain that was trained to fight Eliminators. She had buckets of HP, Cursed Kings belt and the Minotaur helm, made her look just like an Eliminator, Gave her the highest stagger weapon I had (Dwells in Light) and I trained her to use "Act of Atonement" Against the elminators Charge skill, as well as his 4 hit combo, and 3 out of 4 times she was able to counter him and stagger him. Can't remember if she managed to knock him down though. It was a suprisingly good counter to eleminators. Most fights basically went like this. Good gawd man. I've watched all of your videos on DDDA at least twice. The pawn inclinations video, Umm, probably fifteen times. But your precision and calmness always impresses me. Your skill reminds me of a quote from the movie Training Day, "You know I'm surgical with this bitch, Jake". Again, many thanks for sharing your immense knowledge of this game for others to get better and have more fun whilst kicking dragon ass!
Thanks Dave. I appreciate the praise. Patience, observant and calm is my typical approach and it never lets me down. I'll have to check that quote. You know I like movie quotes.
So you recommended I watch this, I thought ok, probably stuff I already know but wow you went to crazy detail! The last one with Assassin was nice! Reason I asked for help on hard mode is on normal, I only fought death on purpose once, ran the rest of the time so I wanted to be a little more courageous in hard mode but I ran every time I saw him here too lol. Think I’ll check some more of your strategy videos and mess around some myself within hard mode.
Daimon?..... well, really just the vortex charge is when he vulnerable for knockdown. His Bite attack leaves him open for stagger, which can then lead to knockdown.
Great video your voice is super satisfying to hear.and also have you played the dragons dogma online game they made I never played it myself but from what I’ve seen the classes seem to be upgraded in that game
I played Dogma Online quite awhile ago, maybe 2 or 3 years ago. The vocations are somewhat upgraded and also somewhat downgraded. Ultimately I did not like the Online version, but I hate online games, and it is an Online formula game, which has level requirements and a ton of farming, and forced "play with others" criteria.
Thanks Sharingan. I can't show everything. I can't provide all of the info. I need to leave some for self observation. But, Daimon really only has 2 stagger and knockdown points, during the Vortex charge and when he goes for his bite attack.
Hello, I'm trying to find a video of yours doing the BBI for the second, I finally done it last week killing daimon for the first time, and now because I have plenty of time to play I'm going to tackle Daimon for the second but because of new enemies, I become a scaredy cat again. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@fireshepherd1159 sometimes when i keep hitting its legs as warrior i actually get him on his knees and the music changes. But it's so random; i never quite figured out what was causing it
Hey Nihil, happy new year ok, so this video means you really wont continue that series on each type of foe? and also, it pisses me off the fact that I've been playing that game for years and I barely notice all these patterns lol
Happy New Year Ed. I will continue the enemy schematics vids. I still have several that are needed. But this video kinda shows a broad perspective of things to take notice of. Control the battle field

Thanks. Happy to read that you're planning to continue the series
I never played DD Online because of all the obstacles in the way. Does it have nearly the depth of this one's combat? I can't imagine it keeping all of these nuances.
Online does have the same mechanics for the most part, and some new ones, but the stagger and knockdown and rage mode is pretty scripted with health loss, and then becomes very predictable. There is a loss of "feel" in the Online. Here in the Dragon's Dogma or Dark Arisen you really feel the connection of combat, and the Online does have that. You never really feel the connection of attacks, because it's number based rather than animation based.
@@Nihil0.0 That's sad as the feel is the core of the whole game. It's, I think, capcom's best action game. Or the best action game arguably of all in raw mechanics. I was going to get into Monster Hunter but it really doesn't look as good mechanically. It looks like more of a dark souls type thing. With long, deliberate animations for the sake of grinding, which isn't sexy to me. The closest thing Capcom's put out has been Lost Planet 1 & 2. AS it's more action and less numbers.
I dont know the stagger animation of most monsters so i cant utilize this much (mainly i use sorc and MA) and always bring full party (mage, ranger, fighter)
The 600 split build. Mage to lv10, Assassin to lv97, and Sorcerer to lv200. Privides 605/606 attack, 4k stamina. Overall any vocation can be played except Warrior may struggle.
Dragon's Dogma has so much great stuff and so much meh stuff. The whole design of the chimera is actually quite awesome, it's texture however is so boring and dull. The color palette is drab. Dragon's Dogma has a whole bunch of awesome game mechanics like how height and weight changes how you play, and a lot of interesting game mechanics for each class, but the story is kinda shit. Then there is the pawn system which is awesome and terrible at the same time.
this game is so underrated

Dragon's Dogma is pretty well designed. They put a lot of effort into the game. And I enjoy seeking out these mechanics
Brilliant! This was a well thought out exploit of game mechanics. The fact that it can be universally applied to most creatures you face on BBI is an added bonus. Nice work!
Thanks Derek. I do like the consistancy of the game. With the mechanics making sense.
Oh! I didn't know dragons were susceptible to knockdown after the roar.
Thank you!
Yep, every enemy has a certain point where they are easily knocked down. These are just a few examples

I have played this game so many times and it still sucks me back in. Great upload !
Staggered animation and perfect blocks are so satisfying with mystic knights, idk why, but the bigger shield and a riptose just works
Very satisfying. I love it

Nihil0.0 some of the new vocations do look fun I wish they where in the “real game” aka this one
Dragon's Dogma as it is with online would be great, though.
powder blast on the dragon tail is clever.
Pretty useful. But if we're Assassin, we may as well just use the bow, but if restricted play is in session..... very useful
Top quality stuff👍 Ty for sharing man.
All these knockdown triggers... all you really need is Arc of Obliteration XD even ask Daimon lmao
DeadlySins699 yea but it takes ages to charge
I really a Dragon's Dogma Online western release

Most of my videos are post Daimon runs. Choose any of them and it will likely be the second BBI spawns.
wonder when a chained cyclops is ready for stagger & knockdown. that thing is on constant rampage
If we attack his right arm while he has the club, eventually he drops the club and is staggered at that point. Knockdown? Not sure

What if you need a second knock down against a dragon?
Usually you only break one side. So break the left first and then the right.
Great vid. You mentioned that the strider class can just jump, latch, if heavy enough. We talking medium, L, or LL?
Any class can, just need to have character weight above 59kg

Yep. All my vids are hard mode
What's the armor that you allways use for this character?
In ur opinion wats the best way to level ur stats or better yet how did you level ur own stats being able to properly play both magic and physical

You can have multiple on pc, but not console
