Looks like a great products. It would be nice to have even around the house if you lost power for a day or two. Thanks for the tip!

Impressive little bit of kit! Curious about the gas can having to be upside down? Is that specific to the small screw top cans?
How do you handle keeping stuff cool on a weekend trip for example? Are you old school ice blocks and a cool bag? Or is there some sort of 12V cooler you have for Scout?

I've played with the idea of a fridge for the LR for quite some time. But the trouble is they take up a _lot_ of space and also use quite a lot of power. I haven't settled on the idea quite yet but in the meantime I've just been using a regular coolbox and I've been pleasently surprised how long I can keep stuff cool in there for. For a day trip with an overnighter, the coolbox is absolutely capable of that. For a weekend... it depends on the weather. In just regular conditions, I'd say yes it can do it. Keep the coolbox in shade as much as possible. But if it's an absolute scorcher all weekend, then I think the coolbox would be done before the end.

That's just because I couldn't get it to stand up securely.
I've explored the idea of having a fridge, powered by a leisure battery. I think that may be the solution I go with in the future - especially as we are planning some bigger trips!
