Quite my job for UA-cam and ran my channel like a business, now making 6x the the salary equivalent from both YT and Amazon with less than 5000 subscribers. Also launching an ecommerce site this year.

Well I learnt a lot of things from this video.
1. Everyone has something to say, a content that people out their need to see and watch.
2. You must be consistent, come rain, come sunshine. When you’re excited or when you’re down you have to show up to see results.
3. From what I saw here being successful and making money on UA-cam takes time. You just have to do it and forget about the money. Something I need to learn personally
4. Don’t be afraid to be you. It’s “You”tube for a reason.

Most people in Nigeria and Africa have not discovered UA-cam as an avenue of making it big, unlike America and other leading countries, i think more content creators need to draw attention to this platform rather display their lavish lifestyle on the internet.
That's not true, a lot Nigerians have jumped on youtube but they're still struggling. Most African countries have low cpm compared to America so they don't make much on adsense.
@@bolu101 Forget UA-cam is yet to be widely acclaimed in Africa especially Nigeria, if you watched the video you'd see that the people at the event are not even that much, there are still many niches yet to be filled by Nigerians gaming for an example, there is almost no dominant game content creator in Nigeria, and if is then he or she is still yet to be dominant

My takeaway from this video is to not start a UA-cam channel just for the money.
Seeing how it took some creators months and others years to start earning, it tells there’s no promised time on when you get your first paycheck.
So it’s easy to get frustrated and stop creating content when the money you thought you were going to see in 7 months isn’t coming.
And I noticed there was something these creators you interviewed had in common. They enjoyed what they were doing. More like passionate about their craft and passion can keep you motivated even when the paychecks haven’t started coming.

To be consistent on UA-cam, it's essential to create a content schedule and stick to it. Decide on a realistic upload frequency that works for you, whether it's once a week or more. Plan your content ahead of time, so you always have videos ready to go.

My key take away from this is that. I have to be consistent, know my target audience that is niche down my contents and also I should not compare my contents interms of views and number of subscribers with others cause, does I am comparing myself to have also pass through the same phased.

The strategies shared by the UA-camrs in this video will help you regardless of the niche you are into. I am particularly a writer, and I started when I hardly have food to eat and no one to look up to (I’m an orphan)
However, when I started writing, I was not experienced and I was lucky to get a guy that choose to guide me while paying me the lowest fee I could possibly get for writing. I wasn’t discouraged, instead I learnt. Focused on getting bigger gigs and improving myself until I become good at what I do, and of course with bigger paying tasks.
So, to succeed online base on my experience, you need the following:
-consistency
-consistence
-be consistent.

Hello Fisayo, there has been a lot to learn, especially from you. Among the new lessons i have learnt are the importance of just starting and continuous releasing contents, Using Ify's Kitchen as an example, she started her youtube 6 years ago but started releasing contents consistently 2 years ago; its the act of grit.
Another lesson I have learnt is also from you on being true to yourself and also collaborating with other youtubers like you did, and also thinking outside the box to generate new non-repititive contents.
And finally, another takeaway is understanding your audience, defining your niche and being true to that. As content creators, we are to create amazing contents that people would enjoy and relate with. We are making videos for our audience and not ourselves.

Look for someone that has been successful in that path you want to follow, stay consistent and persevere. You will be amazed by your own results. But starting out might quiet be difficult, trust me.
Mark Angels advice was so on point, made too much sense. And Lord Lamba also said the same thing, if you know the content that will blow up, you will leave the other ones and do only that one.
Very big lesson to be learned
It was so refreshing to see and hear about the successes of YT creators I relate to as an aspiring black creator. What I learned was to be authentic, consistent, have a specific target audience, produce my best with what I have and ultimately giving the channel time grow.
