The battery can be discharged to a lower voltage than normal therefore giving the device a few extra minutes of life
I know for a fact that my iPhone 5S shuts down at 3.3V even though a Li-ion battery can be safely discharged as low as 2.8V
That 0.5V could mean the difference between someone getting murdered and that person living
Depends on the physical possibility of this really. I don't know if phones are able to do this. Although an alternate solution would be to switch off all unnecessary functions during an emergency call to preserve battery.
Well I have done some experiments with mobile phones and even at 2.8V the phone still recognises there is a battery in it so the circuitry can still function at the lower voltage
In one of my experiments I removed the battery from a phone during a call with the charger connected to an adjustable power supply and I cranked the voltage down (Measurements are taken from the DC side of the charger) and at about 2.4V the call started to get crackly (It started to motorboat its a term used to describe a loss of modulation due to low voltage or something)
and at 2.2V the phone cut out completely
So it can be done but why it is not done is beyond my knowledge
The hardware is capable of doing it but I can't work out why they program it not to do this during emergency calls
I guess maybe it was never thought of before? Some of the simplest ideas never occur to anyone
I guess the easy way around that is to carry a power bank with you

My top 10 problems that ruin my life
1- traffic in comfy air-conditioned car
2- food that taste good contains so much calories
3- you just ordered food and you ready to eat but you have to go to the bathroom which will make food cold
4- i want to sip coffee slowly but otherwise it will get cold so i have to it quickly
5- i can afford to order from Starbucks everyday but i don't because otherwise i will be twice
my current weight due to whole milk whipped cream and syrup
6- at the movies i have to wait until all the previews are over before i eat my popcorn, which is a very long period to wait
7- After shower I have to wait until my hair is dry before i can turn the AC back on
8- water is not hot sometimes when I want to take a shower
9- to look and smell okay, i need to maintain daily hygiene and grooming routine, not to mention diet and exercise, and shopping, and i am not in the mood for such shit, but otherwise i will look like shit
10- with all entertainment means we have today, life is still boring
Also at the movies, you have to watch how much you drink because you don't want to get up to pee, so you're spending half the movie holding it in

I hate updates sometimes. They can add great new features to an OS or application, as well as fix many bugs, but they often show up at the worst time. Several times, the moment I turn on my console, it's updating, or when I put in a brand new game, it immediately has to update.

I guess I live in a 2nd world country, I don't have any of those problems. Can't afford cleaning lady, I can't afford to eat out, my fridge is never full of food. I guess I didn't spend enough money on my bed so it's not that comfortable. My software updates are off or automatic. Can't afford air conditioning so it's never freezing inside. I don't watch TV. No starbucks in my county and no lines to buy coffee. I charge my phone over night. I got plenty of offline games to play when internet is off.

My biggest first world problem(s): Nothing to watch on TV when its freezing inside and scorching outside when your at one of your family or friends house and you forget your phone charger. You grab your iPad which, luckily you remembered your charger, but there isn't any internet when you need to take an hour on the crapper with no UA-cam.

5:22 , It happens to me all the time but because I put it on 16 C (60 F) , and outside can be like upper 90 F or mid 100 F. But I prefer Cold over Hot. It can also be Too hot Inside or Freezing Outside or Feels good inside and too cold / hot outside or the opside of it. But because there's no comfort zone , but 73 or 74 F is ideal , When too cold , I put it on 68-70 F

but if its 2 minutes it would say skip o_O
