I saw Robert and Jamie on YMH and decided to take a look at Pajama Pants and try it out. I loved watching Robert be such a fan and him and Jamie make a really fun podcast to watch. I love the stories. Keep featherin it brother.
Robert on Joey's podcast, The Church of What's Happening Now, was one of the top 3 episodes I've ever heard. Robert was so open and honest plus the connection between him and Joey was so pure and honest. It felt like an uncle and nephew having one of those deep talks that a son can't have with his father. The NY/NJ connection is real.
I watched the Sopranos as a kid and connected with Rob and Jamie in a very bizarre way. The stresses of teen angst and early adulthood I suppose. In some weird way I felt like I lived in that house with them. Seeing them together is like this weird homecoming. I don't really know how to explain it other than to express how great it is to see them together, laughing and having fun. I hope you keep this podcast up forever.
RockSteady67 His acting was good precisely because you do hate him. Look, you even referred to him by his character’s name. You hate AJ Soprano so Robert did his job well.

Joey Diaz literally has the most ideal appearance, talk and demeanor than any single Sopranos character on the show. When you see Joey Diaz how can you not cast him as a character? I've been familiar with Diaz for a while, but if you aren't there's something about him that looks so familiar as if he had to of been in a mobster movies or something but you can't quite place him... and he has a charisma/energy that makes you think that he's someone from the movies or something.

The battleship's anecdote + talking about what he was doing at age 7, compared to his daughter's generation perfectly sums up for me why Uncle Joey is maybe the last of a certain breed. There certainly won't be many like him in the future! He grew up at a time where technology + home entertainment was limited greatly, unlike today. He had to spend more time outside, playing, exploring, discovering, hunting, etc. His thirst for adventure could not be quenched within his own four walls. The social stimuli were probably feeding Joey's first drug addiction, the natural high of adrenaline with no knowledge of the unknown around the corner. He seems like someone who especially as a youngster, like many of us would head into unfamiliar territory head first, with little regard looking to satisfy his thirst for new information. I might be assuming or overthinking it, but this innocent, almost feckless instinct is what is so beautiful and relatable about this real man. 🍷Salut Uncle Joey, Robert, Jamie, Kassem. Thoroughly enjoyed this podcast, and subscribed!
