      My Dad who has passed always said to me hear the way his voice breaks when he says “Buddy I’ll always remember you with tears in my eyes” My parents were born in the early 50s and they played so many great artists for us growing up. Was so sad when my Dad told me Eddie passed also at 21 years old in a taxi in London 😢

My brother from my Dad’s first marriage was born on the first anniversary of Elvis’s death and my Dad and his first wife named him Aaron as a dedication to Elvis. However my Dad always used to also day I wonder what the history of Rock n Roll would have been like if, Buddy,Ritchy,Big bopper and also Eddie Cochran didn’t pass so early. I have a unique idea for a short film about the crash. It starts out with the three arriving at the airport, paying their fares, and boarding the plane, all excited to be getting ahead long enough to rest and clean their clothes. Then the plane goes down with a huge crash...there is a moment of intense pain and then they are thrown clear. Buddy comes too, and picks himself off the ground and sees Ritchie and pilot Roger Peterson, also getting up. "Wow, what the hell just happened guys?" Ritchie replies "I don't know, man, I just heard a big bang and boom, here we are." Roger says "Man I don't know.....the ground just appeared in front of us....we were supposed to be going up but somehow we went down instead." Buddy looked back at the wreckage and was shocked "man will you look at the plane? It's all rolled up! How did we get out of that?" Just then the Bopper comes over saying "Man what the hell happened? A big boom and here I am in some cornfield, and oh my Gawd, look at our plane! " Roger says "man we had beter think about how we are getting back to the airport, we got no way to call them and tell them what happened to us, and we got to get out of this cold." Just then, Ritchie calls out to them "Hey guys, you might want to come see this....I got a funny feeling." the four of them walk over to the side of the wreckage and in the dim light of the stars, they see two bodies. Buddy looks down closely and says "Uh.....guys, ....I don't know how to say this, but that looks kind like me. And this one next to it kinda looks like you, Ritchie." Bopper says "uh guys I'll be back in a second." A moment later, Bopper returned and said grimly "Guys....where I picked myself up from? There's a body over there....and it's me, and I got a strange feeling....how do you all feel? Because I feel fine, like I don't have a cold or flu anymore. I don't even feel cold, I feel kinda warm all over." Ritchie said "Yeah....I don't have my cold anymore, and I feel warm too, like it's not even cold out here, but it should be, just look at the snow. What does this all mean?" It was Roger who spoke the words they all feared... "Guys, I think I know why we survived.....because we didn't....those are your bodies there, and I think I know where I'm at..." walking over to the wreckage, he leaned over and peered into the wreckage and saw himself rolled up in the wrecked plane "yes....I'm in there.....and this means..."
    Buddy finished for him "we're all dead, that's why." Just then the night was split by a blinding light that appeared to beckon them. Bopper spoke for them "Guys.....I think we should go to the light." the four of them walked to the light and were submerged in its brightness. When the four of them were in the light, it winked out, and the night sky went dark again, the wreckage and bodies waiting to be discovered hours later in the daylight.
    The film would end with a slow montage of the crash scene photos withthe audio of the breaking news report, followed by a montage of still photos and video footage of each of them with the audio of this song, with the last chorus playing behind the ending credits. what do you think?

    instead of my opinion i'll paste this for you fans, Cochran was one of the first rock-and-roll artists to write his own songs and overdub tracks. He is also credited with being one of the first to use an unwound third string in order to "bend" notes up a whole tone-an innovation (imparted to UK guitarist Joe Brown, who secured much session work as a result) that has since become an essential part of the standard rock guitar vocabulary. Artists such as Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Van Halen, Tom Petty, Rod Stewart, T. Rex, Cliff Richard, the Who, Stray Cats, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the White Stripes, the Sex Pistols, Sid Vicious, Rush, Simple Minds, George Thorogood, Guitar Wolf, Paul McCartney, Alan Jackson, the Move, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Hallyday and U2[18] have covered his songs.
    It was because Paul McCartney knew the chords and words to "Twenty Flight Rock" that he became a member of the Beatles. John Lennon was so impressed that he invited McCartney to play with his band, the Quarrymen. Jimi Hendrix performed "Summertime Blues" early in his career, and Pete Townshend of the Who was heavily influenced by Cochran's guitar style ("Summertime Blues" was a staple of live performances by the Who for most of their career, until the death of the bassist and vocalist John Entwistle in 2002, and is featured on their album Live at Leeds). The glam-rock artist Marc Bolan had his main Gibson Les Paul guitar refinished in a transparent orange to resemble the Gretsch 6120 played by Cochran, who was his music hero.[19] He was also an influence on the guitar player Brian Setzer, of Stray Cats, who plays a 6120 almost like that of Cochran, whom he portrayed in the film La Bamba.

      if you are still alive, my guess at 75 years of age, i just wanted to say that i wonder about it myself.
      It is a real tragedy to have lost those 3. But i was looking for what happened to Eddie. Seems he died 1 years later or so.
      And the list goes on and on.
      Seems the Music industry is one where people die young.
      Some reaching the charts and making an impression. Etc
      Others just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
      Etc as in: Some were worth more dead than alive. And so nature might have had a helping hand in some instances.
      I am of the opinion that if Buddy had not been killed that evening, he would most likely have been at the same level or even better than Elvis.
      But, the money was already flowing towards Elvis.
      The Dutch Colonel made sure of that.
      There is a docu about the music industry and how it has claimed many lives. I am not saying that they were all murdered. But some might have been, for certain reasons.
      MJ was worth more after his death, especially at the end of his life when he started speaking out about certain things that should not be said out loud.

    • @TheMassacreFilms
      @TheMassacreFilms Місяць тому +2

      It’s really ironic. Cochran’s biggest hit, “Summertime Blues” contains the lyric “I’d like to help you son, but you’re too young to vote”. At the time of the song’s release in 1958, the legal voting age in the United States was 21. Cochran died at the age of 21.

    • @bertjesklotepino
      @bertjesklotepino 17 днів тому

      @@TheMassacreFilms Which shows you that the system is rigged by those in power.
      They decide when it is the correct age for other people to vote.
      Anyways, it also shows you how the music industry works.
      Now i am not claiming Eddie was murdered, nor do i claim the other 3 were.
      BUT the circumstances are fishy.
      Imagine if Buddy had lived.
      Would he not have taken the place of Elvis?
      I think he would. Or at least on similar level.
      BUT you can not sell 2 of the same.
      You need 1, a star, to sell.
      And Buddy had already made a nice appearance on the world's stage. He had reached his top and was basically lingering on. Perhaps he may have written another best seller, who knows.
      One thing is certain: He was worth more dead than alive from a certain point onwards.
      And the publicity this crash got. Negative publicity is still publicity.
      I dunno about Cochran too much.
      Maybe it is a completely legit accident, or maybe he said something to piss somebody off.
      Suge Knight aint the only one, ey.
      Buddy, well, even the movie about him shows how a hot head he could be.
      And maybe Elvis was not such a hot head.
      I am just thinking out loud.
      But too many in the music industry have died too young. And sure, some may have had an accident. Some may have killed themselves.
      BUT this amount of people, and we still believe it is all accidents and or suicide?
      Like MJ?
      Like Whitney Houston and her daughter? Pure coincidence, of course.
      The lies may have traveled half way around the world while the truth was putting on its shoes.
      Some stuff keeps smelling bad.
      The Big Bopper in the plane with Holly and Valens? And them excuses for it?
      But also you never hear about the pilot.
      Sirhan was a manturian candidate, no doubt.
      Maybe the Big Bopper or the pilot was.
      OR it was a real accident.
      The timing however will for ever smell fishy in my opinion.
      27, funny number as well.
      It stinks.

    • @bertjesklotepino
      @bertjesklotepino 17 днів тому

      Just look at the nonsense they put in the papers about how Cass Elliot died.....
      They convinced people that she had suffocated by a ham sandwich.
      And enough people believe this crap.
      It just goes to show how sick that industry must be.
      She was one of the beloved members of the Mama's and Papa's. She went solo.
      Why should she have to suffer from such nonsense AFTER death?
      It is just a horrible idea how people can be towards other people.
      BUT then again, some people do not identify as people.

      @TheMassacreFilms 17 днів тому +1

      @@bertjesklotepino I don’t know too much about Cochran either. That really happened that night, he was in a limo with Gene Vincent (another rockabilly star, he did Be-Bop-a-Lula) when the driver served off the road and hit something. Vincent survived until he had a heart attack in 1973, Cochran was killed on impact. Dion and the Belmonts were a famous vocal group from The Bronx who were a part of the Winter Dance Party tour. They were known for their hits “I Wonder Why” and “Teenager In Love”. The group’s leader and namesake, Dion DiMucci, was offered a seat on the plane, next to Buddy. DiMucci, who grew up in a working class household, said that the ticket price was outrages, as that was the same amount of money his parents paid as rent in his childhood apartment, so he took the bus. In 1960, Dion left the Belmonts to peruse a very successful solo career as a musical and teen idol. Two of his biggest solo hits were “The Wander” and “Runaround Sue”. He’s still alive and making music today at the age of 84. If he would have just paid the ticket price, we would have been robbed of such an incredible talent, just like Buddy, Ritchie, and JP.

    There's so much poured into this song, Buddy and Eddie were close friends, as he sang the verse dedicated to Buddy, he could no longer hold back, and began crying, mourning the loss of his friend, which was so fresh in his mind. And, irony, he would join them a year later when the taxi he was in crashed on a lonely street in England, the same street, and almost the same place, where 18 years later, singer Marc Bolan met the same fate.

    The end of the 1950s seemed to sound the death knell for ROCK'N'ROLL.
    Buddy Holly, Ritchie Vallens, Big Bopper died in a plane crash, a little later, Eddy Cochran died in a car crash, Chuck Berry in prison, Jerry Lee Lewis banished for marrying his 13 year old cousin. Elvis has been in the army for 2 years. The future seems bleak for this music, yet in England, young people intend to take up the torch and the British invasion will prove with the 60s that rock'n'roll is not dead!

    "The day the music died"... Sadly ALOT of good music has "died" as a result of plane crashes. The irony of this flight was that originally Richie Valens and JP Richardson weren't supposed to be on that plane. The plane was chartered by Buddy to take himself, his guitarist Tommy Alsup and his bass guitarist a then unknown youngster by the name of Waylon Jennings (yes THAT Waylon Jennings!).
    The tour had rented an old school bus and the heat was barely adequate (when it worked) and JPR was sick with the flu and complained of not being able to get any sleep on the buses old small seats. So JPR asked Waylon if he could have his seat. Waylon told him that was fine with him if it was ok with Buddy. Valens didn't like the bus anymore than anyone else as well so he asked Tommy Alsup if he could have his seat. Tommy offered a coin toss to see which of them would get the seat. Valens won the coin toss!
    Buddy and Waylon were kidding around before the flight and Buddy said, "Well I hope your ol bus breaks down again Waylon." To which Waylon jokingly replied, "Yeah Buddy well I hope your ol plane crashes!" Waylon felt TERRIBLE and fought bad memories of that for many years afterwards. Sometimes he said he felt he might've caused that crash with those words! For many years he simply wouldn't talk about any of it at all, he loved Buddy so much and considered him his mentor and like an older brother.
    Waylon's family knew he was supposed to be on that flight so when reports came in that it had crashed, they simply had no way of knowing that Waylon wasn't actually on it. So they assumed he had died as well and were heartbroken for several hours before Waylon could finally get word back to them that he in fact wasn't on the plane!
