I just bought a banjo yesterday. Total newbie. Do you use this to quickly tune to another key for onstage playing Or is it for a quick note change for an effect while playing in G tuning?❤
Congratulations joining the banjo community! D-Tuners are a way to change tuning rapidly and accurately. There are a couple options but we think Cheat-A-Keys are the best option. You can learn more about Cheat-A-Keys using the link below. We suggest learning the basics first. goldtonemusicgroup.com/goldtone/parts/cheatkey
These can be used on Baritone Banjo so that you can go from Open C to Open Low G (a fourth below Open G & Open D).
Nice Video!

I guess they work, but they are ugly. IMO they completely destroy the banjo aesthetics and just look clunky. Just opt for real d-tubers.
