The Resonator engine is often referred to as physical modeling though it does not model any physical structure. Since it is based on the manipulation of overtones, it is much closer to additive synthesis than physical modeling. I would even call it a greatly refined additive synthesis.
TJ. Great video. You seem to know the Iridium inside out. After recently getting an Iridium from my wife for my birthday I am on a steep learning curve. These videos are very informative. Keep them coming Stu
I know this machine will be capable of any sound I can imagine in my head but the real question is will my head be able to able to actually create them!!! Just see myself getting distracted by a happy accident on the way but I kinda like that forest gump ‘ "you never know what your going to get". Mentality. Also the fact that I will never outgrow this synth aspect. A Waldorf is for life 😂
Thanks for this video, TJ. Very informative. Hope you will do some more. The Iridium is very complex and your videos helped me to master it. (No 'pinky' using anymore? ;))
All three Resonator presets can be downloaded here; tjontheroad.com/files
Hello. A very good demo, Mate. I think both models Iridium and Quantum are worth getting.
Thanks for watching. Cheers, TJ

Yes, call it additive or modeling. It is open ended by design in Iridium and Quantum.
Thanks for watching, TJ
Thanks for sharing! I really need to use the iridium more than I do.

My right ear loves the sound of the Iridium in this vid 😂
Then there's nothing left for you to do except to get one for yourself.
