Those headsculpts are phenomenal, my only question does he have magnets in his middle so that he can be split in two? No I'm not serious, but with HT you never know!
I hope they reissue Qui Gonn with a better headsculpt and USB powered led Lightsaber as well as a Padawan Obi-Wan so we can recreate the Phantom Menace "Duel of the Fates" Final Battle Scene. 🥹🤞🤞🤞
An instant pre-order for me. i needed a TPM Maul as i wasn't collecting back then and obviously missed the previous one. woke up at 1230 this morning as i felt a disturbance ine the force, telling me the pre order was up.
Bloodfin appears to be the same as DX17, just USB powered and maybe updated paint app? The one in DX17 has LEDs for the dash and on the rear, powered by 2xAAA batteries.
But they can't do it with the batmobile 89 for usb what a waste

Everyone keeps saying the old dx17 bike didn’t have lights but it did. It was battery powered and not as bright. Maybe that’s why. And a lot of older reviews didn’t show the light up features either.

The improvement on the headsculpt is astounding...
I love the previous angry sculpt face expression. I looked really nice… It is sad they didn’t make the new “angry” sculpt angry. It looks like the regular one just with the mouth open 😓
The flat tattoos alone on this Maul make it a huge improvement. The bumpy tattoos on the original were the worst part about it imo.
Love the new head sculpts. Bring on a Padawan Kenobi next.
Personally, I’m super excited with this whole 2.0 thing for Hot Toys. It’s sort of the perfect way to break into collecting certain lines now because of the massive updates. I’m hesitant to pull the trigger on anything that already exists like a young Obi-Wan. Just on the possibility of an update.
The Maul is so tempting. I have the clone wars one to fight my clone wars Ahsoka (season 7 figures), so the question is do I need two Maul figures. TPM is not represented in my collection, and sith are not a rogue either. Yum...
i just got S7 Maul, and I just pre-order this Maul as I need the TPM version. if I were you, I'd pick this one up, too. TMP Maul is just too iconic to pass up on.
@@Monkeyboy1995project Yes, he'd have to fall into the 'too iconic to pass up' category/exception to my collection focus, which otherwise would not include him as a character (I have CW 7 version bc I do collect some AOTC/CW animated series stuff)
The darth maul looks great however the rest aren't that great. I'm hoping we get some new characters for May 4th

This wil be my first Maul, excited for it, But they better fix the bent saber. That is unacceptable at this price point.

I’m glad this 2.0 version is coming out!!! I couldn’t get the previous version so I’m getting this one. The single version! What are these coin crap?? Let’s face it Darth Maul with his double bladed lightsaber was the icing on that Phantom Menace trailer!! To bad he was killed off so damn fast! But I’d like a hot toys version of the main character which was Jar Jar!!! 😂 no seriously we need a young Anakin which I don’t believe will ever get made! An Obi-wan and 2.0 version of Qui-Gon

Glad I did not buy any previous Mauls. I've only 12 Star Wars Hot Toys. I will never buy another one again. Sure I love a display, but I dislike the hasbrob practices of re-releasing figures. These are not collectables anymore, just mass produced figures. Am I wrong?
