A great big thanks to all those who work outside in all kinds of weather, and for the mom's that take care of the babies in all hours of the day! Brings back memories of feeding the cows, the crunch of the snow, and the breaking of the ice for the cows to drink. So glad you all are weathering the storm, been thinking of you.
Yea videos like this bring the non-usual viewers; there's always a few that think they are all that. They fail to mention about the rest of the wildlife, like deer, rabbits, pheasants, birds, etc? I'm sure in these past 2 weeks there's been a lot of wildlife that perished... not just from the storm but from predators that catch the weakend.
Brrrrrr….. another super cold day….Cattle look great….You all take great care of your cattle….Hopefully all this frigid weather gets gone before calving season…Thank God for cabs on tractors….We never had cabs until later…all we had was a heat houser on the tractors..We always plugged them in so they would start…Baby Silas is growing like a weed…. You all stay warm….Have a great holiday!❤
Merry Christmas to Sleep Ranch!!!! Stay warm. Thank you for sharing!! I grew up with cattle, my husband raised Charolais/Angus cross and I eat a lot of beef!!! Blessed much more than I deserve! Jesus was born to save us all! God Bless you!
Mmmmm and I thought I had a lot of 🦃's; with 30 in the yard! You boys are true 🤠's; getting that work done in that kind of weather. Livestock just can never take a back seat. Great year for you Carson; new home, baby & horse! Enjoy every minute of it when you can. Lots to be thankful for. Merry ❄️🌲🌨️🐇❄️🤶🌨️🦌🧑🎄❄️⛄🌨️🐂❄️🧑🎄🎄 Christmas. Love ❤️ the closeout on the video; great to see you're family together and you are so right Carson to stay focused on "reason for the season". It's a about the birth of Jesus Christ!
Young man, that was the best video I've seen all year! Some great education on the cattle and the cold as well as one of the only places I'll hear the gospel or "good news" about how much God loves us. That He sent His Son to take the punishment for OUR sins. All we have to do is believe!! Merry Christmas!!
I know the cold sucks. But I wish we had some good solid winters like that around here. Most of the winter we get rain and it doesn’t build up any moisture so we get the worst fires in history.
Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for your peaceful videos all year long! We all need that peace both physically and Spiritually! Thank-you also for sharing the message of the Peace that only Jesus can provide!!! You guys are an awesome witness!
Here in und Europe we have to invest a lot of time in teaching people about the needs of robust cows or ponys, that live in nature all through the sesons. We do have Real cold nights (-22 C) with sometimes icerain and snow. A good sign is, when the animals eat their food, walk around and have their backs packt with snow. The shelters we built are not frequentet. Thanks for sharing your live and showing healthy animals. (And baby)
just found your channel. love that you gave the invitation at the end. Blessings to you and your family. we are new dexter cow owners, and it is 7 degrees here with a new calf, yearling and momma/ God bless you for what you do.
Brrrrrr it looks so cold. It is 4 degrees now and tonight it is suppose to go to -18 tomorrow (Christmas Day) it is going to be -18 and -19 . It is going to warm up after that. Thank goodness. I wish you a Merry Christmas to Damaris and Silas. The little guy is so strong . I can't believe he is holding up his head.
So true that they’re built to live in the cold. A lot of the horses at our stable came in for the worst of it because they can but they don’t need to. I think us midwesterners are built for extreme weather too 😅 I haven’t been able to get out because of the wind making unsafe driving conditions 😢 So thankful for everyone that sacrifices to take care of livestock in these extreme weather situations. ❤
So Wonderful and Precious to see your young family getting started, and started right by lifting up Christ! Really enjoy the authentic display of your life on the ranch, the daily challenges and the rewards of country living. Seeing your young family is a reminder of when we started out on a large beef and grain farm with a new born son. The Lord has given us this life and Blessed it with children and the satisfaction of doing a job well. May He continue to Bless your family in the years to come. Merry Christmas!✝
Merry Christmas to the Sleep family and Cattle and horses deer turkey and the good old John Deere's thanks for taking me along can't wait to see more videos for the new year take care and God bless
Carson thank you much for noticing Chad putting out the Christmas tree and contacting him to let him know what could happen to a pregnant cow. His highland, Fred, was a very special guy and I think everyone who watches Adler Farms was totally devastated when he passed. It's still heartbreaking, but the hopes that there may be a calf coming from him makes it easier. So thank you again for your kind act and wise knowledge. God bless you and your family and your baby boy.
Thank you Carson and the Sleep family. Again I will say you are very blessed. God Bless yall and have a great Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior.
Thank you for the fun, clean content. My 2 year old always wants to watch the “cow show”. My wife and I love how you stand out and testify of Christ! Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Merry Christmas! Thanks for acknowledging the reason for the season. Continue to lift the name of Jesus! Guessing your cattle and horses have a heavier hair coat this winter as God has placed that in them to know what is coming for weather.
Love the ranch, and love seeing the wildlife benefit from your ranch as well as the livestock. Merry Christmas, and a fruitful, and prosperous New Year. Great message at the end of the video about our Hope.
Merry Christmas thanks for sharing the true message of Christmas something the whole country needs to hear! Appreciate all you do and for sharing your sweet family and ranch life with us.
A big "kuddos" to all the farmers and ranchers who go out in the fridgid weather to look after their animals. And thank you for sharing your knowledge with those who don't understand the workings of ranching and what the animals need, and how they survive. My dad grew up on a homestead in Wyoming and he has shared, through the years, his knowledge of raising and taking care of animals. You can hear how cold it is, from the crunch of the snow. Wishing your little family a Merry Christmas. Stay safe and warm.💖
Back in about 1974, I helped my wife's father give antibiotic shots to about 90 angus cattle about that size in a squeeze chute southwest of Mitchell. Hats off to you and your dad. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Thank you for all your hard work under extreme weather. I hope everyone who watches these videos will learn how much hard it is to go out and do what needs to be done on a ranch. Merry Christmas to you and your family,Mom and Dad including your ranch hand and thank you for your testimony about Jesus as Savior ❤ John from Connecticut
Merry Christmas sleep family...Awe Carson thanks for sharing that handsome baby with us. How's your amazing wife doing.. are u guys ready for Christmas..I live in Ohio it's super cold but no where near what your dealing with. These cows and horses are build for the cold. Beautiful ranch all the way around..
Merry Christmas from Michigan. Enjoy seeing your lifestyle even though I don't miss being there to help with your work. With your understanding of what Christmas is really about I know that you and the family will have a wonderful Christmas and have a wonderful New Year. GOD bless.
Morning Ya'all thanks to the dedication you your family and Jaques have and display, we the people are fed. Thanks also for the great Christmas message, you hit the nail square on the head. May everyone connected with the Sleep Ranch have great and blessed Christmas and a prospers New year Al Lisius
Yeah when you have animals outside if it's a 100 degree or -40 I had my horse for 30 years! You guys do a great job with your animals love watching your videos have a great holiday
Hello Carson! Great explanation of how cattle handle the cold!! We know how hard it must be to leave your warm home holding that sweet, sweet babe!! Thank you for your dedication to your cattle! We wish you a blessed Christmas from your fellow cattle ranching, YouTubing, freezing friends from Kansas!
Learned something new today about the snow on the cattle..interesting and makes sense. Living in MN I can understand the cold and working in it. Stay warm stay safe!
I really enjoy watching you and your Dad work your cattle. You have a beautiful ranch. Thank you fir sharing your life. Your Son is beautiful. The stories you have ti share with him.
Just like to make a comment on your operation and peoples concern about the cattle during extremely cold weather. I had a 200 head purebred Shorthorn cow calf operation in central Alberta Canada. The temps you are seeing there now we had every year and they survived and did very well. I had shelter for them with trees and the most important thing was when it gets cold as it is there now increase feed and up the quality of feed and amount of it. Never lost one animal from cold in 40 years. This in part comes to common sense and experience that you and your father and grandfather have learned over the years and passed down to you and your family. Certainly not easy to watch for many people but it works. Mine always came first before I ate, they ate and were looked after. Looks like a very good operation to me. Good on you !!!
Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family! Silas's 1st Christmas! It's amazing how many people don't understand animals can tolerate the cold. God knew what He was doing with the creatures on earth. As always you guys adapt and overcome the conditions. Jesus is the reason for the season. God bless you!!!!
Those cheeks are too cute... Very good explanation for the cattle, neighbor feeds his hay in the barn but the cows all lay outside even in the cold. Turned my back yard light on and left it on for the cows last night they all moved over into the light and with the wind it was about 20-30 below zero. They could go in the barn but they all laid in the lot chewy their cuds. The horses stood by the barn on the less wind side. It is hard for people that live in heated buildings to understand but the animals want to be outside. The dairy cows stay inside the barn, but they are not bred for the cold, even the dogs are outside most of the night when they have a warm barn to go into. I like my warm home, used to enjoy the cold not so much now. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and stay safe and healthy. Merry Christmas Eve.
You make a great video, you are true cowboys for sure. Yes your cows do great in cold weather, the colder it gets the thicker the hide, the hides get air in them that keeps the very warm. Merry Christmas to you and your family
Hang in there Carson. Spring is coming. Happy to see your you tube channel grow. I enjoy every one of them. Thanks for bringing us along. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family.
We think your family show a great example of a true american family that built America..thank-you..please keep it up we love to watch your growing family...
Thank you for taking the time to explain cold and wet weather livestock farming to people who don’t understand. I always got frustrated with people assuming I wasn’t caring for my cattle properly because they didn’t have a barn to get in during bad weather.
Really appreciate your boldness in your faith and explanation of the real reason for the season. It's all true! I know your Christmas will be a blessed one not only because of the real reason for the season but also because of the arrival of Silas. Merry Christmas Carson & Demaris from those of us south of you in the Nebraska Sandhills.
I just love you guys. Now all three of you. Thanks for your love for Jesus. Each other the livestock. The Beauty of Gods creation and the forgiveness of sin. Merry Christmas to you also.
It looks so cold ,but what a beautiful farm ,the stone barn is stunning and a sign of how things were done to last . The little man is a doll ,congratulations
I just found this channel this week. Our first year raising some cattle. I was worried about them freezing during this storm and wow, I can’t imagine that kind of weather. Now I feel so much better.
