I got this when I was younger best rifle for a young person. It's lethal but not over powerd or has too much recoil.good starter gun.👍👍

I'm surprised you had those misses, unless the ammo is very inaccurate in that gun. My 880's are more than egg size accuracy at 25 yards for sure and can hit a tennis ball all day long at 30 yards, but that is with the ammo the gun likes, never shot what you are shooting. Informative video showing that the Daisy 880 is no kids gun toy !!
    Nice video, keep 'um coming.

Thanks, and yeah the misses could've been caused by a wide variety of things; I picked the pellets because they're powerful, but I heard they're not the most accurate pellets out there. I'm also not the best marksman with the Daisy 880.

A year late. But i can confirm these are not at all accurate in a 880. I also feel they are not kind to the rifling.

Daisy 880 iron sights are not accurate.. You need to adjust it very much.. I was in the military so I know this rifle’s accuracy.. -:) But its precision is good. The scope is useless for this type of cheap air gun.

Get yourself a bench rest, and some good pellets like RWS Hobbys, and zero your scope, and you will be able to hit soup cans at 50 yards every single time (generally it equates to about a 2.5 to 3" group) The twist rate of the rifling is a little too much for long distances, it's really meant for 10 meter target shooting. At longer distances the pellet forward motion slows down faster than the pellet's spin, causing spin drift at long distances. But it's still pretty good even at 50 yards. The lightweight RWS Hobby pellets are only 7.0 grain, and will still puncture one side of a steel soup can at 50 yards. I like to shoot at paper targets too, at 25 yards, which should give you 1/2" to 5/8" groups with no problem. Pellet selection is critical though; cheap pellets do not shoot as well, no matter how good you are. The cheap Daisy flat nose pellets are pretty decent though, you can get 1" groups at 25 yards with those. The Daisy 880 is an awesome rifle, I've owned several of them over the past 40 years. Nice video by the way, I was curious of it's penetrating capabilities and it's better than expected!

Coming from german break barrel air rifles this has to be the most fun to plink with. Quickly learned that BB's not that accurate beyond 10 meters but it really doesent matter cause i got 40 stil left in the mag and at my home range i manage to knock of soda cans at 30 meters. Maybe not on the 1 or second shot but i will get it. Just ordered some Gamo BB. A little heavier then my daysi steel bb's but i hope for a little more accuracy with the gamos

According a lawsuit against Daisy by the CPSC, the 880 has killed 15 people and injured hundreds. I think one of the reasons is that they make them so cheap and toy like, that kids end up pointing them at each other like toy guns. I own the original metal versions. They have some good power and accuracy to hit shotgun shells out to 30 yards.

you are right they are frigging powerful and anyone using this weapon should never point it at a person...
I went to a boarding school as a 9 year old kid and we were trained to use rifles, the first lesson was never ever let the muzzle point at a person.... they drilled that it to us.

ive pumped my 880 up to 40 times also 25 times is enough to get the pellet supersonic 40 pumps is loud enough to make your ears ring a bit

Yours must be louder, I've pumped mine up to 80 (somehow didnt break) and I mean it's a little loud but won't ever make my ears ring. 🤣🤣🤣

This is an excellent demonstration, actually, this may be one of the better alternatives for home defense for anyone who either cannot own a firearm or does not want a firearm. Have a family member call the authorities and you keep him at bay by ripping those BBs into him haha Remember, NEVER carry this or any airgun around for fun or to show your friends, the way police are, they see a gun, they will kill you first then see what kind of gun you have.

You are UNSAFE! at 1:05 your little dog was in the background and any flying debris could have hurt him. Failed test for not clearing your background before shooting.

You're absolutely right, after I took that first shot I realized I'd forgotten to bring him inside and (ironically) broke a gun safety rule on a video about gun safety. I immediately took him inside the house after realizing that.
