    Speaking is someone who is completely inexperienced and has seen your video as the first result on Google search, you edited it out the part where you screw the mount into the TV and that's what I came here for. And thusly it has received a down vote but I love your enthusiasm

      Interesting, the mount will come with several different sizes of screws and screw lengths to fit whatever your TV uses. It will also have several holes in the mount where everything will line up. If you can handle everything else in the video this part will be smooth sailing.

    • @TheImprovementChannel
      @TheImprovementChannel  2 роки тому

      No, the lag screws have to go in studs. You need at least 2 lag screws going into 1 stud if it is a smaller tv like the one I installed here. If it is larger you need to line it up to catch 2 studs with 1 lag bolts per stud. Otherwise it is very likely the tv will eventually pull out of the wall and the whole system will fall to the floor

    • @TheImprovementChannel
      @TheImprovementChannel  3 роки тому

      I am guessing you are talking about the lag screws. Mine has magnets so it stays in there. I bet you were able to get it going. If not try pre drilling or start the lag bolt without holding the mount. Then back it out and do it again while holding the mount. One you have the first bolt in you will have an easier time with the next ones.

    Thank you for the excellent tutorial. You did a great job of explaining everything in detail. It was my intention to have a professional mount a 42" TCL TV on our guest bedroom wall. However, after watching your video, I decided to try and do the job myself. I mounted it today using a Perlesmith bracket (similar) to yours. Thanks to you, everything worked out fine. I even used another bracket to mount a soundbar under the TV. You're a better man than me though because I had to have help from my wife with positioning the wall bracket and holding it in place while I drilled.
