Perjury requires more than just a credibility finding by the judge. There would need to be documentary or testimonial evidence that disproves the witness’s statement.

The judge is being strategic. He's giving him fines so that when he does jail him, he can point to all of the warnings he was given. He needs to do that because he needs to be extra transparent. It's not about the money... it's about building up to incarceration.

I think the judge missed an opportunity, Trump keeps claiming it is unfair that there is no jury, he could have asked him if he understood why there is no jury? Then explained to Trump he ought to employ competent counsel. The judge is being strategic. He's giving him fines so that when he does jail him, he can point to all of the warnings he was given. He needs to do that because he needs to be extra transparent. It's not about the money... it's about building up to incarceration.

The penalties need to be incremental so it takes away from his false claims and negates the premise that his rights are being taken away for no reason. The lawful reason needs to be up there in neon lights and reported on extensively before they move to house arrest or incarcerate him.

I think the judge missed an opportunity, Trump keeps claiming it is unfair that there is no jury, he could have asked him if he understood why there is no jury? Then explained to Trump he ought to employ competent counsel.
