The 2026 FIA Formula one car has been shown! One of the bigger changes is the new DRS/MOM system! MOM stands for Manuel Override Mode and is the successor of DRS (drag reduction system). This system is created to make overtaking even easier!
The Drag Reduction System - which has been a feature of grand prix racing since 2011 - will be no more from the end of next season. Instead it will be replaced by F1’s new ‘Manual Override Mode’. But what is it? And how does it work? I will showcase it to you in this video!

This mod is not regulation compliant and is very fast (1900 bhp) try the SuzQ mod. The physics are probably more accurate than this.
This mod looks like the same model as the SuzQ. If this car had 1900 hp it would go over 400 kph on the long straight
Really? Even with all the smaller size and the less drag thing, its still slow in top speed, thats a lot of drag
I modified this car to make it less powerful. Didn't know the suzqmod was out already 😅

So the lap time is around 5:15, that's pretty quick! Only limitation is maybe the top speed, it could be higher with different gearing I guess.
Request do a quali lap of the 2005 McLaren MP4-20 on slicks (softs) at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, If not the -20 then -22 also on soft slicks pls. I'll subscribe if you do both of them
The 2026 season gonna be a very close fight with slow red bull and Ferrari McLaren and Mercedes
Why is the straight line so slow? Even the super formula cars get up to 310 pretty nicely on the straights
Partially because of the high downforce setup needed on the Nordschleife
@@rensminkhorst I could guess that just barely passing 300 on some of these seems a little bit slow for an f1 car
@@rensminkhorstYes, but the hybrid system should give this car more straight line speed
@@israeljoao5532 But it doesn't. Hybrid does not give you more top speed, but more acceleration, well, electric power added to ICE power, to be precise. To gain significantly in top speed with electrical power, you've got to have like well over 1000hp from the electric side, only this way the electric cars can run comparably fast to hybrid or traditional ones with about half the power. That being, yiu have a car with an ICE with max power of 500hp, only if you've got 900-1000hp on an electric car (assuming they're about similar in dynamic behavior) you can reach the same top speed, but with a weight disadvantage that is super disproportionate. I kno this went too long, but hope it clears why it doesn't work that way...
Surely the hybrid power is ran through the gearbox so it does effect top speed. Unlike how a lot of road cars work where the motors disengage
The problems we’ve heard so far is one minute they’re going flat out and then when the batteries depleted they’re slowing down half way through the straight which says to me it’s effecting top speed.
We have 2024. How a 2026 exists?
FIA released videos talking about changes to f1 cars in 2026. People looked at the video and tried creating the 2026 f1 car in a game.

I like how with this car you were able to slightly jump over the kerbs, not much obviously, but still the car endured it. Something current cars wouldn't be able to do since they are heavier and would have made you crash, and socondly, would have wrecked the floor and compromised the rest of the lap
