When my husband first showed me a cheburashka in a toy store, he was so happy, with a child smile.. and I was thinking... "Oh that looks strange.." but did my best not to show haha Now I'm a fan and I love his songs with Crocodile Gena.. So cute

I´ve just discovered Cheburashka episodes and definitely love them!!! It's a pity i didn´t watch them when i was a child. The story is not about evil vs good ones but about friendship and hope,,, the sweetest cartoon i ever seen. Sadly there is no spanish translation for my future kids :'(

It was a direct Soviet analogue of the Happy Birthday To You song. People used to sing it on birthdays.
I’m Latvian but my mum is half Russian so she told me about Cheburashka when I was little my mum told me to come here and I saw Cheburashka I said to my mum Кто это and she replied as Это чебурашка and I said Мама чебурашка очень Милый and then my mum said Да очень Милый and then I started to watch on and I loved him until this day
I am from Iraq, that cartoon was one of the most famous Russian cartoon, we love it, it been translated to Arabic with Russians voices

I'm a big fan of the Blue Coach song Gena Cheburashka and the Old Lady sing with her rat. Maybe a video with Volk and Zietz? Sorry my bad, I thought Cheburashka was the crocodile. I found that Gena was the crocodile. Hmmm. I don't know really. Maybe the toy's cheeks are not dimpled red like pikachu? It looks like a pikachu with hair. Also I understand why Japanese loved cheburashka.
