I get that we're obviously not in the screaming V10 era anymore, but why do the cars sound so horrible in this F1 series?! It's a horrible synthetic soulless drone.

first issue is why in the hell are you so far from the wheel? proper seat position will excel lap times drastically

Nascar is harder than you think, you have to handle the temperature and know where air is going. And Nascar is not just about driving in ovals, Nascar also has normal tracks in the calender.
F1 needs more skill than Nascar, Nascar is mostly about being smart while F1 is mostly about trying to concentrate with the movements of the car.
But let's be real...we live in a world where people just trash everything...and have no idea how to make a racing game yet think they can evaluate games.
The gaming community has become quite entitled and a bunch of haters.
It seems like there’s always a lot of negativity around EA games no matter how good or bad they are..which I can understand because ea does have some shadiness with their games..
FFB is a little dull. AI is pretty good. They need Laser scanned tracks. Better tire physics. Other than that the single player is quite fun.
No, it is actually the best F1 game. If people actually played it and then come to a conclusion it would be diferent. They prefer just to hate.
The cars sounds absolutely shocking though. It could be a game from the early 90s if I closed my eyes.

Lowkey just renewed my ea pro and gave it a try miles better than 21,22, and 23 as far as how fun it is to drive. The menus and store are god awful though

I've been playing almost everyday since 19. League racing since 20. This game is absolutely awful. The cars feel so unnatural. So weird. I'm not hating on anything, just being real. 23 was a very good game. Almost everyone liked it. The handling was great. They went from that to this...
Idk to me these F1 games feel almost the same every year, so I lost the interest in it. Also I find the physics not so pleasant.
It's like they repaint everything, move drivers about, fiddle under the hood a tad... all the cut scenes and menus are the same as previous games, walking to the podium etc... F1 world... super cars... breaking point...
I like it, the handling patch did improve it. It was so pointy at first everyone was using like 400-500 steering lock.
Tire temperature management is more critical this year, It’s much harder on the left front..they do have the tire temperature effects backwards tho, a lot of maximum pressure setups to keep tire wear down and cooler temps.(Opposite of reality lol)
Engine braking is now part of the setup options to help recharge the ERS, but it has changed or at least affected the feel under braking as this year lock ups are easier to do. ERS and overtake system changed and takes a bit to get used to. Jarno Opmear put out a pretty good video explaining it.
From what I understand the first patch was just a quick adjustment based on feedback from those who helped test it, esports, content creators and so on. There will probably be another adjustment to the handling later.
Anyways enjoyed f1 23 and 24 so far and seems like they have acted pretty quickly to Communty feedback.
A lot of people are angry because we were told there was a new engine for the game this year but it didn’t happen. Probably added to the criticism of the new game.

I honestly can't play any other game but F12020. The cars sound like a 16 year old going up and down the street on his 50cc scooter. They honestly sound terrible. One of the biggest reasons for wanting to play SIM racing is to hear them engines scream that we wouldn't in real life. I could replicate the sound of the F1 cars in the game but changing the settings in my wifes 'Toys'...
I think the f1 community is a bit mad as they take the game so seriously, also as the game only evolves from one year to another they just get bored with it, but they don’t realize how obsessed they are with the game.
As a stand alone game if one has no prior experience of playing this series or similar it is an excellent game, it just gets a hard time as well because of the expectations are very high for it to play like a ‘sim’.
How on earth can one possibly get a realistic formula one game to replicate everything would take a lot of work more than just a year.
I play f1 24 and yes the handing isn’t very realistic but it’s fun I think if they made it realistic it would a very hard game so like it as a simcade
I personally really enjoy F1 24. It’s not going to be a fully fledged sim game , just play it for what it is and stop moaning 😂
The VR is suppose to be sublime...I plan on picking it up Stooges just love to hate on EA

It's weird that you didn't get your Moza to work, since according to EA all Moza bases are supported. Haven't got F1 24 myself, so can't comment on the game. Not sure if I'm gonna buy it. The lack of mouse support in the menus and the lack of triple screen support has been a real frustration and disappointment with the previous titles for me. It always reminds me that these games are nothing more then simple console ports.
I won't be getting it because I have F1 23 but I don't see a problem based on this video. Of course those who played it would have more of an insight but I just know people like to complain. Unless its a game breaking bug/issue, I'm sure it will play just fine. You can't please everyone.
Yeah its a good game. I was rrady to hate it, listening to people talk, but ive enjoyed it. They have to slow th cars down by a few seconds
F124 is a great game but it is an arcade sim… love it for what it’s worth 👍🏾
You need to start steam VR before you start the game or it won’t recognise your DD wheel.
It’s a very good F1 experience in my view.
Game is honestly fine.
Not super innovative but career mode is fun and the handling when using the correct setup is quite engaging.
People moaning about the handling are probably using default settings with way to much fuel loaded.
(Also VR works fine, I actually find it way better than ACC)
if you look at onboard videos of real f1 cars racing, and onboard videos of this game, you will see how miles off everything is

Don't try this in a full motion rig, it's beyond horrible.
