Respect and good communication is very important.
Huge take away Stay away from magazines and articles 🤣 speak through miscommunications, but if there are arguments on one side just reason with it peacefully. I would say my fear is that I wear my emotions up my sleeve so I am a very easy to talk to person. Which is why I would say the fear is to not get used.
Mash’Allah- i’m so happy I found your channel. I am also in an inter-racial marriage, but my husband is the Pakistani one. I agree that communication- honest, sincere communication is key. Also, I learned you don’t need to feel “in love” all the time, but you need to always prioritize respecting and loving your partner even when it’s difficult. @@mz8194 Maybe your parents prayed that you would have wisdom and know everything, or maybe you just think you know everything. I found out a couple years ago that my mom, who has a strong faith, prayed that I would find a wife with characteristics she knew I needed in my life because she knew me my heart and character better than most people.
She's a good wife King also you seems to balance her, I'm not Muslim but love what it stands for.

I love the “reset” bit at the end so much and not falling into power play. It’s so easy to fall into that trap, but it’s so important to stay on the same level and talk things out.
Your advice is on point, and as the years go on some things will change, but some of things you’ve said will form the foundations of your marriage.

yo Sufiyan that hand levels up n down, excellent visual man.. totally makes sense. One has to remember to rise up to redeem themselves n it makes sense. What sucks is when you are right n she harms u..but still acts as if u did something wrong while in reality she did.. but she can't C her own mistake AT ALL... thats what happens, the disconnect... i felt that in my marriage n i was waiting for her to apologize, she just never did... cuz she even tho did me wrong, just never saw it. BUT yea those hand levels make me realize the distance between us grew n grew.
I think you guys are figuring out and awesome.
I try to think of my marriage as service to my partner instead of having crazy expectations. Or receive exact same in return. Obviously one shouldn’t let themselves used and abused and hurt but just being there for each other in the honest ways makes the journey easier.

I think this was great. Communication and compassion are king. I would add that you have to be each other’s shield from the outside would and not allow others to the steal the peace you create in your home. When Amara was talking about like not being able to trust people / Sufiyan. I think that was more anxiety, rather then how she feels about Sufiyan. And I am the same with people, I get really anxious when it comes to trusting people. But what's worked for me is, yes looking at their character like Sufiyan mentioned. But also, trusting God. Bc in uncertain situations, God is the certainty. So being like this person is a good person, and they have the capability of hurting me. But I will believe that they won't bc god has control over them, and God is mercifull and loving.
Yes, definitely more anxious thinking. Not based on reality at all or the person. & Remembering God really does ease it and bring you back, it's just a very active thing you have to remember to do in the moment. That you don't need to fear hurt off the ones you love when Allah SWT will always be your biggest protector and deepest relationship. ❤️🤲

Forget about all the advise others have given you about how to live as a married couple, you have to find what works for you. The only advise you should take to heart is when it's about the Dean of Islam.
Ah the video that I’ve always wanted to see! I’m Pakistani from the U.K. and I’m turning 28…still not married. I’m so glad though because I was pretty immature before and seeing stuff like this is really helpful! I admit even now I fantasise about marriage but I’m trying to tell myself that it’s not always going to be rainbows and sunshine. Also I would never read a magazine from a western perspective because it’s all BS. I would rather get actual ISLAMIC advice! Why are so many people falling into the trap of western values when they don’t even work! The women are rude and that is something that is pushed onto them. Men are being feminised and you can see there is a problem because young men in the U.K. have a high suicide rate. So instead of fixing a problem we’ve made things worse. I hope that insha Allah I can find a husband like Sufiyaan who I can also talk to so comfortably (I’m an introvert with anxiety). Ps love the videos and keep them coming! ❤️❤️❤️

I so agree with being sweet and very polite. It does make a difference. Pertaining to goals ,I get where youre coming from and that feeling of I have something to offer this world other than being a parent or wife especially as a woman i know that feeling to well. But what I do understand all to well now as a parent is only when you're in it is then you does know. Being a parent sometimes require you making really hard sacrifices and most times it ends up being the mother sacrficing her dreams or putting it off for a later time. For instance I went back out to work after my baby and that child decided she was not going to eat at all and she cried alll day long untill eventually she lost her little voice. I was uncomfortable leaving my baby. It was so hard and I made the sacrifice to be home with her. Yes there are mom's out there doing it, but u never know what life will bring you.
This has little to do with religion- although it helps you folk- it's being honest and digging deep and wanting a positivie marriage- working together. Being humble and keep building
Well as Muslim, it has everything to do with religion. It is complete guidance. You don’t have to discredit the religion brother. Just respectful opinion
