What an EXCELLENT video...I wish I had watched your video before I applied my Gila Glare Control film...even though I followed the instruction sheet, you had several other tips that will help me if I decide to do another window. The tools you used for architectural windows, is that the Austin's essential tool kit?
Austin: We live in Santa Maria, CA and are looking for someone to put window film on a sliding glass door in a rental. To date we have not been able to find anyone around here that does residential window film. You mentioned in the tutorial that the house you were doing was in Arroyo Grande and I wondered if you also do work in Santa Maria. We need the job done in the next week or two before the rental goes on the market. Is it possible that you would be available to do the job? Please let me know "yes" or "no". Very well done. Thank you soooo much. This really helped me so much. Is the liner better with the backing that you peeled off. I got some that does not do that. It is on a roll with kinda like wax paper. It says I can use either side

Great video- let me ask you something- are you take of seals from the windows or never at all?
Sometimes seals are very soft and uneven and I'm not happy from the final result.

Hey guys awesome video. I’m an auto installer looking to expand into flat glass work. What is the most common VLT for residential flat glass? Also, why not use the factory straight edge for one side of the window?
Great question. I couldn’t use a factor edge on these windows because the rubber wasn’t straight enough.

Which scrub pad would you recommend if the glass does have fabrication defects?

Is that just water you're spraying?
I know you have to clean the inside window in order to tint it, but when you gonto a customers house, do you clean the outside too?
Hi JP, great questions, we do not prep the outside because we are not making a template on the outside like we would for auto. We do offer exterior window washing as an upsell or in an exchange for a review.
