    Great video! I’ve been practicing two staging with the sharpie method. How far below the sharpie mark to cut for the bottom seal? Thanks and have a great day!

    If you had a 1/32 ruler I would bet your tool is bigger by a little.

  • @chosen1one930
    @chosen1one930 2 дні тому

    your ruler that's only 1/16. Just pointing it out. It's not 1/32. There has to be 32 marks between a inch for 1/32 measurement. Only 16 is 1/16. Is the tool as thin as 1/32? I would say it's close

    I saw that video and I was thinking the same thing. Seems like too big of a light gap for appearance reasonings. You don’t see a light gap like that on all strip center windows. It’s as close to the edge as possible. Unless they are caulking the edges

    • @chosen1one930
      @chosen1one930 2 дні тому

      His ruler is only 1/16 not 1/32. The tool is close to 1/32. I'm not a huge fan of everything this guy does. I definitely do some things different I've seen, residential or commercial would be one. I haven't watched a lot of his videos but his teach methods are definitely different.

    I absolutely love all your vids man! I am a full time RVer and mainly tint RV’s at RV resorts. I do cars here and there but I enjoy doing RVs. It’s the rounded corners on these windows that are a pain to hand cut. Luckily I can plotter cut them now except for the larger windows. But I was always worried about the light gaps. Honestly you made me feel comfortable in knowing there is always gonna be a slight light gap. Now I just tell my clients beforehand. Especially for RVs with no privacy glass that want 5% film. I redid so many windows before watching your vids because I aimed to get them perfect. So I really appreciate that. I went to tint school in Jacksonville FL . Sadly they didn’t teach flat glass tinting then. Definitely wish I had done more research. ITint school or yours would have been amazing to have gone to. I’m thinking of taking your course as I would love to start tinting cabins at these rv resorts. I haven’t done straight 90 degree corners as RVs have rounded ones. Though some are square. It’s that cut you do to tuck it into the corner I need to learn. But thanks again! I appreciate all your vids!

    Man they absolutely COOKED that wrap! So that's what happens when you're trying to put 40 in of product on a 46 inch car panel eh? There's no reason to have to use that much heat to stretch that material that far, for a flat panel like that.

So what are the things before hand that are needed to be relayed? Im new to commercial window tinting and realized there way more different window that car windows. And commercial windows are old ones sometimes. Also saving for that trupack backpack

    The true cheapest way to remove window film is two trash bags, one outside and one inside on the glass. Spray windex on the inside window before putting the trash bag against the window with tape. Just leave the car in the direct sunlight either morning or afternoon for side windows for 1 hour and the film should come off pretty easy unless the film is extremely old and with cracks and deep dark purple. Some people have steamers at home already so if you do use those

    We had a llumar ppf trainer come to our shop to train two new guys we had hired and the owner told me being the manger that llumar was coming so I said shit man can I sit in on it as well? Ya I’ve been doing window tint for 14 years and ppf for around 12 years but I’m always willing to pick up and learn new tips and tricks. The trainer was your typical cocky installer seeing me as a threat instead of two guys picking each others brains which is all I wanted. This guy had me do a full hood, front bumper and full fenders on a black Denali truck as he watched and eventually tried showing the trainee a few things but over all I was really let down with the session. The owner asks me after words how did it go and if it was worth having them come. I said how much did you pay for the trainer to come? He says nothing it was free from llumar since we had three automotive locations as well as four flat glass installers and bought a lot of film from them. I was like ok since it was free then ya it was worth them coming but I wouldn’t of paid a dollar for that guy to come just to try and have a pissing contest the entire time
