Great video! I’ve been practicing two staging with the sharpie method. How far below the sharpie mark to cut for the bottom seal? Thanks and have a great day!
Austin, thank you for all the advice
Hello sir. How can I buy from you cours for residential and commercial window tinting
Hi
Exactly how I carry my little giant into jobs🫡 how do you get more res/com jobs in the slower season
Those Little Giant Ladders are heavy, and if it is on your shoulder at all, you will be setting it down before you reach your destination.
If you had a 1/32 ruler I would bet your tool is bigger by a little.
your ruler that's only 1/16. Just pointing it out. It's not 1/32. There has to be 32 marks between a inch for 1/32 measurement. Only 16 is 1/16. Is the tool as thin as 1/32? I would say it's close
Thats what she said😅
You shouldn't have even bothered to respond. Some people only know how to criticize. Keep up your great work!
People are crazy man your videos are good for teaching man keep it up
If you don’t explain them. They don’t even know. They just complain complain. See how many people driving a model 3 complain about the uneven gap on the trunk ,Doors, hood etc ?
You are the best
True.
But you’re the professional and have been doing this much longer than I have! Is this an industry standard?
I saw that video and I was thinking the same thing. Seems like too big of a light gap for appearance reasonings. You don’t see a light gap like that on all strip center windows. It’s as close to the edge as possible. Unless they are caulking the edges
His ruler is only 1/16 not 1/32. The tool is close to 1/32. I'm not a huge fan of everything this guy does. I definitely do some things different I've seen, residential or commercial would be one. I haven't watched a lot of his videos but his teach methods are definitely different.
Have to get one .tried all kinds a light
I absolutely love all your vids man! I am a full time RVer and mainly tint RV’s at RV resorts. I do cars here and there but I enjoy doing RVs. It’s the rounded corners on these windows that are a pain to hand cut. Luckily I can plotter cut them now except for the larger windows. But I was always worried about the light gaps. Honestly you made me feel comfortable in knowing there is always gonna be a slight light gap. Now I just tell my clients beforehand. Especially for RVs with no privacy glass that want 5% film. I redid so many windows before watching your vids because I aimed to get them perfect. So I really appreciate that. I went to tint school in Jacksonville FL . Sadly they didn’t teach flat glass tinting then. Definitely wish I had done more research. ITint school or yours would have been amazing to have gone to. I’m thinking of taking your course as I would love to start tinting cabins at these rv resorts. I haven’t done straight 90 degree corners as RVs have rounded ones. Though some are square. It’s that cut you do to tuck it into the corner I need to learn. But thanks again! I appreciate all your vids!
NorCal in the house! Juan is highly looked up to in the auto detailing industry. Let’s go bubba!
You can buy the light on thetintstitute.com
Use soap and water ? Or an application liquid ? What is the mixture
Spray come with the bag or that a separate thing?
The darker it is, the bigger it looks. Got it.
Way to try to upsell some bullshit sprayer 👍🏻
You didn't explain why there's a gap. How come you can't cut it with no gap?
If you lay it too close to the edge, there’s a chance it could lift, needs a little gap just like car window tints
Not a very good job
I appreciate your feedback! I'm always looking to improve, so I'd love to know what specifically you think could be better.
Watch eyes closed💀 Thats what she said.
Mind the gap. The gap is normal. Got it 👍🏼
Totally!
Imagine getting all that water in your electronics. 😂 cover the control panels before doing this. rookie mistake
Bruh that shit don’t matter
Doesn’t matter too much, if the liquids used are non-conductive like alcohol or spirits then it shouldn’t do anything besides dry out real leather
Been doing it like that for years, and never had an issue!
Man they absolutely COOKED that wrap! So that's what happens when you're trying to put 40 in of product on a 46 inch car panel eh? There's no reason to have to use that much heat to stretch that material that far, for a flat panel like that.
I agree, no need for any stretching on a flat piece like this
No way you guys are serious right lol
That's no wrap guys, relax...
Great teacher!
There you go there you go
More instructors need to be like this
Thanks!
Thanks
Welcome
What do you tell customer about defect on windows like these? People are real hard headed when things dont come out perfect in ther eyes. So what are the things before hand that are needed to be relayed? Im new to commercial window tinting and realized there way more different window that car windows. And commercial windows are old ones sometimes. Also saving for that trupack backpack
That there's nothing we can do about it... that's why warn them before we do the project!
Good video man
Appreciate it!
What you charge by Sq ft
$8 - $9 by sq ft I believe
We charge 10 dollars sqft
It depends on the area, type of film, and style of window
I charge $10-$12 a square foot for RVs. $10 when the screens are easily removed. $12 if I have a lot of small windows to do and if the screens don’t remove.
Great stuff, very helpful bro
Glad you think so!
How about the benz suv with the shade track on both side of the rear doors it was a biiach show me what you would do.
Yah hopefully you only had PPF and not a coating because you can say bye to the coating much sooner
Whats ppf bro ?
@@anawrassey1514 plastic that covers the paint. Think installing a screen protector on a phone
@longboy8998 oh ! K ... i see ...appreciate da explanation !
When do we get the review of the Xactlite?
The true cheapest way to remove window film is two trash bags, one outside and one inside on the glass. Spray windex on the inside window before putting the trash bag against the window with tape. Just leave the car in the direct sunlight either morning or afternoon for side windows for 1 hour and the film should come off pretty easy unless the film is extremely old and with cracks and deep dark purple. Some people have steamers at home already so if you do use those
Nice! Love that tip! Gonna give it a shot next time I tackle those window films. Thanks for the heads up!

Only 3 because one of then was "fingers" not "finger"
Pulling. The film to.far up
What type of blade and brand are you using
It's an Olfa knife
I always appreciate good technique Good technique is the sign of a good teacher or persistence
Absolutely! Good technique really lays the foundation for growth and learning.
Why do you leave so much excess on the top and bottom? Is it easy to shrink??
Yes! It is easier.
Homeless people could already be doing this but since they can’t afford the advertising we may never know.
We had a llumar ppf trainer come to our shop to train two new guys we had hired and the owner told me being the manger that llumar was coming so I said shit man can I sit in on it as well? Ya I’ve been doing window tint for 14 years and ppf for around 12 years but I’m always willing to pick up and learn new tips and tricks. The trainer was your typical cocky installer seeing me as a threat instead of two guys picking each others brains which is all I wanted. This guy had me do a full hood, front bumper and full fenders on a black Denali truck as he watched and eventually tried showing the trainee a few things but over all I was really let down with the session. The owner asks me after words how did it go and if it was worth having them come. I said how much did you pay for the trainer to come? He says nothing it was free from llumar since we had three automotive locations as well as four flat glass installers and bought a lot of film from them. I was like ok since it was free then ya it was worth them coming but I wouldn’t of paid a dollar for that guy to come just to try and have a pissing contest the entire time
Was it Daniel Chung?
