Our Philips Hue Outdoor Lights | Install and operation

- We've used Philips outdoor LowVolt system to light up our backyard and the results speak for themselves. Honestly, it's easy, you just connect it all together, plug it into an outdoor plug and you're away laughing. We're loving the Philips Hue app that allows us to control it all from an app, changing colours, schedules, and our sensors too.
In this video, you'll see how we install it, and the names of the outdoor lights we've used in our backyard to light up during winter and summer.
If you want to try it out for yourselves, we’ve got a special discount code for you, use Moochstyle20 at checkout on the @PhilipsHue website for 20% off everything! Let us know what you’ve got your eye on?

This was so helpful. Thank you!
Oh thanks! So glad you enjoyed
Great stuff
Nice ❤
Great video! Nice to see some inspiration for my own install. Any idea what NZ retailer has a swandri similar to yours? Cheers
Thanks! Yep this is called the high rock pull over, available online and in stores at pgg Wrightson
What’s the wifi range on the lights, I want them for my garden wall but it’s about 30metres from the house
We have a wifi extender but the hub needs to be connected too so I guess it’s a trial and error with your phone to see how far your phone can reach wifi?
Hey mate do you have an outdoor power point or did you run it inside?
We had an out door power unit installed for this one
Does just the initial power adapter have to be on wi-fi to control all the lights? Or does each light need to have access to wi-fi? Thanks.
Once you have the hue bridge turned on all lights then connect. Mine aren’t in wifi range but I connected them via my phone that was
@@moochstyle7110 Great to know - thanks for answering 👍🏻
How has the system gone with the cables being put underground? Did you do anything extra to protect the system? Great set up
Heya. It’s been a year now and no issues at all. The cables are all weather proof so no worries putting them under the soil
My outdoor hue light strips discolored. Have you experienced that. Tried several things to clean it.
What do you mean by discoloured? Do you mean the external casing? If so no I haven’t. It could be to do with the amount of sunlight hitting them depending where you are?
How much does your home cost?
The bulbs are not replaceable correct?
They are LED So you shouldn’t have but they also aren’t replaceable
That looks good I may have to go that route. I have some hue here I only had huge issues getting there base station to work with HomeKit (in fact it never would work)
hmmmm coulkd it be faulty? Mine connected instantly
How many lights did you use in total to light your whole backyard.
10 in total :)
@moochstyle7110
Assuming you were in two different outlets then?
I hate it when I trip on my "Deck".
I use mine for jump rope.
Haha gotta love that kiwi accent
I use mine for tug of war
1000 Follower und Philips Sponsored you?!
Yep and 44k views on the video. We have other social media channels with much larger followings just fyi :)
Stock Music and weird unnecessary slo mo. Blah.
Aren’t you just a peach 🍑 😂
Less features, compatibility, brightness and an outdated app all for a huge markup. Yeah sounds like a bargain….NOT!
Not sure what more features you need from a light.
Great video. One question though. When you say "dick" does it sound like "deck" ? 😉
Hahahaha where are you from? My New Zealand accent is doing me dirty 😂
@@moochstyle7110UK. I love the accent, never lose it 😁
