If your Serta iComfort bed with a Motion Perfect (ErgoMotion) adjustable base is stuck in the upright position and you just want to go to sleep, follow these steps.
    1. Unplug the base.
    2. Pull out the cotter pin from the end of the linear lift actuator arm.
    3. Have someone else help you and hold the base of the bed up!
    4. Use a pair of pliers to pull out the metal pin.
    5. Pull the end of the lift actuator arm out of the bracket.
    6. Allow the bed to gently slide back down to the "flat" position.
The head motor isn't working on one of our bases, the part number is as follows:
    Linear Actuator
    Model: SFD-DQ-1/2
    24V 40W 2.5A
    Jiaxing Shufude Electric Co. Ltd.

One of my wife's crazy cats was playing with the remote when we were out of the house, then hidden it. Had to sleep one night with the bed in the up position (that sucked for me), this this video was perfect. Thank you so much. Now I can sleep in the normal position 😁😁

I have the same exact model and issue. My motor froze up. Did you have to get a replacement?

Hi, yes, I did have to contact the company and get a warranty replacement motor. I only had to pay a small shipping fee.
Here is my DIY guide for changing the motor -

      I hope that helps. :)

I had to replace the motor for my dads bed for this exact reason, but it got stuck again as I put it in the up position to test it. Any advice what I should do?

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that about your dad's bed. :( I had to call the "ErgoMotion" company and submit a warranty request. They shipped me a new motor and it has been working perfectly for the last few years. If you used the correct kind of replacement motor, I'm not sure why it would become stuck again.
