Celeste is being reprinted and I’d like to say it’s $19.99. And River City Girls is available on PlayAsia at a reasonable price and includes 1 & 2. I don’t see any reason to pay an absurd price for a Limited Run print of these games when equal or better versions are available in abundance elsewhere.
Monster boy is running used at my local store for $40 used, langrisser $40. The first yooka laylee runs for $30 new. Shantae and the pirates curse is running at a high price, genie hero goes for $40 new. Samurai showdown runs for $50 new.
If your seeing these games on Nintendo Switch for those prices you might want to grab them all. Sometimes you can find a couple of these used If your lucky. I got a clearanced Langrisser for $36 a week after this video. The day one edition of Shantae Half Genie Hero is more valuable than the later physical release, but in time they will all be pretty valuable. Man if you can get Samarai Showdown new for 50 that's a steal and a quick flip. I had a hard time even finding the game when it 1st released on Switch. Pricecharting has a loose cart only at $66, $79 complete, and $105 new.
The amount of exclusive titles that had limited print runs is extremely high for the Switch versus previous consoles. It seems every other week a small independent developer puts out a limited run supply of their game and its gone from the first party market forever in no time. With scalpers buying up everything its really hard to get games day one and most of the time unless you preorder you'll be stuck paying inflated prices.
I feel like a safe bet these last decades is buy low on rpgs and they almost always rise in value especially PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. Even buying rpgs sealed at stores that are going for 19.99 and 29.99 are a safe bet to potentially buy 2 copies, maybe one to play and one to hold onto. I can remember picking up that Xenoblade 2 DLC physical copy for under 20 dollars at a Best Buy. The thing with Best Buy and Limited Run Games I have found most often the versions BB gets the cover art is superior. I wonder if their business partnership allows for them to have first dibs on coverart options. Great example is compare Grandia release BB version to the Limited Run coverart of Grandia. BB version is way better. Plus I have come to realize BB usually gets the physical version of the game much faster than Limited Run ships their version to your house. It has always been more ideal for me personally to just get the BB version.
Your 100 percent man. BB gets the games like 6-8 months earlier or at least it feels that way, lol! Your 100 percent on the RPGs as well. They always go up in value. I think mostly cuz its more of a niche group that buys them. Like us that enjoy them. The casual gamer would never sink 40-120 hrs. Into probably any game unless its like Candy Crush or something lmao 🤣. Thanks for leaving the comment brother, I appreciate it! 😁👍
Attack on titan 2 is rare and has a rarer version that includes season 3 dlc included. The messenger is also really expensive. Grandia hd collection, salt and sanctuary, blasphemous, mary Skelter 2, disgaea 4, wonderboy 3, atelier ryza 1 and samurai shodown collection. Very hard to find and pricey. I can continue but there are a lot of limited release games. Amazing the difference in price for the digital copy. I purchased 8 games on the eshop. They were on sale and paid $60 cad. If I bought the physical version of each game it would be over $600.
Your right those are all some really pricey games. I'm going to make some more of these videos. Since this video I picked up Shantae and the Pirates Curse and Blesphemous. I wish I would have grabbed the Teen Titan games and Salt and Sanctuary. I almost picked them up so many times in the past but didn't. That was a huge mistake! But thats how this goes some times. You never really know what is going to take off. The messenger is such I fun game I plan on eventually tracking that one down. Great comment man! Some really heavy Hitters you listed! 😁👍
Great video. A lot of these prices are inflated because of the pandemic and stimulus checks. Crazy, some of these games were easy to find for a little while and didn't sell instantly at launch. I know there are even more Switch games that jumped like Shantae the Pirate's Curse, but you did cover some I had been tracking and more! I don't see all of these prices sustaining past the next Nintendo console release. Some true gamers won't care either way since they just enjoy the games on the go.
Thanks man! Yeah I agree with the inflation. Let's hope some of the high prices were seeing across all of gaming comes down a little. I just try to grab games I want to play. I'll pay a premium sometimes if it's one I really want but some of the prices are just crazy. I'm definitely glad I picked up most of these games at launch but for every one I picked up at launch their are like 10 more I missed out on that are now hundreds of dollars and some that are out of reach, cuz I'm not willing to pay 500 for a game that mediocre at best! Thanks for stopping by and dropping a comment brother, always appreciated!
It sure is. I recently offered a seller $400 for the sealed Japanese climax edition it comes in. He was asking $465 and turned down my offer with no counter offer. Its a lot in money, so it was hard for me to justify spending that much. I may regret not just pulling the trigger while I had the money in the future. 😅
If you like toys, Target has 25% off on one toy only now. I don't know if you collect them or not. For me, I love Transformers. I order the Target exclusive Xmen/Transformer mech. There is one that I want which is the Ghosbuster Transformer but that thing is getting pricey. I did preorder the Back to the Future Transformer. Both of these are Gamestop exclusive. Transformers are getting hot and I see them getting more expensive than video games now, especially from Takara line.
Yeah I do collect some toys. Thanks for letting me know about the deal at Target. That's good to know! I'll have to take a look! Your right some toys are highly sought after and pricey! Transformers are really cool!
Man I got some older Transformers not sure when from. But they are so intricate and tricky to get back together. Don't think I've ever seen them all the way back together. I just can't figure out what line they are.
Thanks Jeff, yeah its crazy some of the prices. This is just a some of the ones I own that I wanted to talk about. Maybe down the road I'll do another video like this. I looked up videos like this and was kind of disappointed that their wasn't many made within the last year and they seemed to focus on all the same games, so I searched prices of some different ones or games that many people haven't talked about! Some of the prices completely blew my mind.
Also, a game I'd keep an eye on that is set to release is Advanced Wars 1-2 for the Switch. Those games are notoriously hard to come by on older systems and always fetch top dollar. I'd advise anyone to pick that game up on preorder.
I need Nintendo to restock physical copies of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. My friend and I managed to buy Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition at good price new and sealed. However ever since Pyra/Mythra have been added into Smash the price for XC2 had raised up which is just BS. For this game with downloadable extras it'll go close to 20GB memory space, and I don't want to resort to digital especially not eBay. I need XC2 physical restock soon, so I can actual own and play it. Edit: I'd love to own the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Special Edition, I need it!
Yeah, I agree 100 percent. I'm suprised that Nintendo haven't restocked by now. But they are the kings of making artificial scarcity. I haven't seen and restock or used copies in my area either. I was shocked to see how it shot up in price after the characters were announced in Smash. I hope you find one, at least a used one at Gamestop or something for Retail prices. Even if it's not sealed, it'll give you a chance to play the game at least and not have to eat up that much memory. And will stick it to the greedy reseller market. Not giving them another price gouged sale! Just keep an eye open, you never know. Sometimes stuff pops up when you least expect it. Best of luck on the hunt! 😁👍
Thanks brother, appreciate it! Yeah their is not many videos like this, especially newer ones. They are all like a year or so older. Cuz I tried to look this topic up and the videos I found seem to be exclusively Limited Run or Super Rare Games, wich is fine but no regular releases were included in the videos. So I decided to just make one. I'll probably make more of these eventually since Switch has alot of games like this!
Thanks Ace, appreciate it brother! Glad some of the videos helped you out, thats awesome! I hope this one helps some people out their with looking for deals or grabbing something before the prices get higher! 😁👍
@@WARTRAINWINS heck yea dude specially Lacrimosa its surely is a good title and the ce is sooooo expensive now, hope your keeping an eye out for nostrum its ce is releasing via NIS america
Great games man! Its insane how the Switch is now almost a generation behind but the games are still holding value and being good. Im excited to see whats next for the Switch "pro". Haha
Hell yeah man, I'm stoked for a more powerful Switch. Especially with an Oled screen if the reports are correct. Even at 720p an oled will make the games look amazing, especially because they are so colorful. If it docks the games at 4k upscaling through Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) that will be amazing and well worth buying a new one, in my opinion! I Can't wait, the future is bright for the Nintendo Switch. Thanks for watching brother! 😁👍
Did you ordered Scott Pilgrim vs the world at Limited Run? This will be wanted because it has never been on physical. pander Dragoon remake physical, it's presently on digital. Hopefully you order this 2.
Yeah I have Panzer Dragoon Remake Classuc Edition for Switch. I also preordered Scott Pigram Classic edition for Switch as soon as the preorders went live! Definitely both will become sought after and highly valuable!
@@WARTRAINWINS It's going to be highly wanted somedays. I just watched Scott Pilgrim vs the World. Weird movie though. Video games, band music, beaten up plus vs mode, and teen movie. I like Ready Player One movie better. Have you read and seen that movie?
Thanks man! Yeah its crazy how the prices have shot up like this, and their are so many more games like this demanding high prices on Switch! I figured I'd highlight some of them for others to look out for. Their isn't alot of videos currently highlighting this stuff for Switch. Most videos are a year old or older and seem to focus only on Limited Run and Super Rare games. Wich is fine but their are so many different releases coming from many different publishers that were being left out. I'll have to eventually make more of these videos showcasing different games!
Crazy to see a handful of games I started to pick up just about two years ago are fetching around 100 bucks a piece. I had a feeling these were going to go up in price.
It is definitely crazy to see. I'm not suprised Switch Versions are becoming highly valuable and sought after. Some of the games get very low print runs. Their for awhile I was just seeking out the releases that weren't being advertised or that Gamestop would only get in a copy if someone preordered it. I really need to get back to doing that. Just hard to do when most of us collect for so many different consoles, lol! But it's all good, most the fun is in the hunt of trying to find and obtain these games! Glad to here you grabbed a handful of these games a couple years ago. Their is a lot more of these games on Switch that are highly valuable that I didn't cover in this video. I'll eventually do more in a future video or videos! Thanks for dropping a comment brother, always appreciated! 😁👍
Hey my good friend. You forgot the Skylanders: Imaginators. It was a launch game for the Nintendo Switch. It is EXTREMELY valuable for a few reasons now: For one, it’s been de-listed from the eShop... meaning you can’t even buy it digitally anymore. Secondly, it was only sold with the toy starter set... it was never produced individually. Check the Sold listings on eBay to see for yourself.
Wow Dan your right! That's crazy man! Yeah their are a ton of games on Switch worth quite a bit. It's crazy that Skylanders is worth that much. For every 1 game I got at launch theirs like 10 valuable ones I missed. I love collecting for Switch, its definitely a unique console with tons of games.Their are so many that had low print runs. Hunting for games on Switch has always been alot of fun for me. It's part of the reason it's my favorite console of all time, that and the huge and diverse library of games! Thanks for the info brother! I appreciate it! 😁👍
@@WARTRAINWINS I’m collecting for the Switch now too! I just bought 5 games on Thursday: Sonic Racing, Octopath Traveller, Lego City Undercover, This Is The Police, and the Scribblenauts Duo pack.
Should mention Skylanders Imaginators and Attack on Titan 2 Final battle as those two weren’t limited releases and regular US retailer releases Both sold like 200k copies according to VGchartz and they go for 150+
In terms of the games you mentioned, here are the ones I have. Darius Cozmic Collection, both Arcade and Console Celeste River City Girls(Japanese version, sadly) Yooka Laylee(Not the first release) Ys VIII(European Version)
Nice, importing them sometimes is the way to go. I have some imports myself. Some of the prices get too high from resellers and scalpers. Also sometimes the imports start becoming more expensive from us grabbing them when our prices get too high, lol! Those are some solid games you have out of this list! You can never go wrong wuth JRPGs and Shoot em ups! 😁👍
@@WARTRAINWINS No kidding. In fact, to add to it, I have the Atelier Dusk Trilogy on physical cart, originally bought for $80. Right now, as I speak, it can cost for more than the price of Shantae and the Pirate's Curse.
@@Daimando wow that's awesome! That's one I wanted to pick up and didn't. That's the thing with Switch it has so many releases and many get low print runs and don't get shipped to all retailers. It's impossible to keep up and gets pricey quick. It's why I love collecting for it. It makes it really tough for me cuz I collect for many systems at once and there are just so many awesome games and collector's editions that come out constantly. It's such an addictive and fun hobby! 😁👍
@@WARTRAINWINS One thing I do believe is that Physical Media is slowly becoming very niche due to the transition from Physical to Digital. And not just on PC. The X Box and Playstation systems are slowly transitioning towards an All-Digital platform. In fact, I think X Box Game Pass will speed things up. I also forsee Nintendo being the last company to abandon Physical Media in favor of its own Digital future, be it the eShop or going down the same Game Pass path that Sony is also going down.
Awesome good to know some of these... better to know I have some of them myself. Yesterday, I actually saw at a gamestop the Black Label of Darksiders and I almost got it but wanted to get some other stuff instead... now kind of kicking myself. One game that is stupid expensive and I missed out on a couple times is Shantae and The Pirate's Curse from LRG that is like 250+ It's the only Shantae I either don't have or don't have preordered...
Wow, Shantae and the Pirates Curse is also the only one I don't own or don't have preordered. I thought I had it preordered or thought I owned it. I just looked through my games to see and my pre-orders. It's the only one I don't have. I don't know how I missed it.. Now I'm going to have to get it. While I was looking I also realised that when I preordered Doom 64 classic edition on LRG that I accidentally must have ordered the PS4 version! That sucks, I wanted it on Switch. Oh well I guess it's better than nothing but still sucks cuz this whole time I was expecting a Switch version. Idk how I messed that up. Cuz I preordered that and Shantae at the same time I must have got distracted. But thats how things go sometimes, oh well lol! Yeah I bet your definitely regretting not grabbing the misprint. I got mine off Ebay 2 years ago for $34.95, then like 2 months later I bought a copy for Steve Craig. By then it was $49.98. The cheapest I saw it now with shipping was around $53 and it goes up to around $80. Its one I believe in time will become quite valuable. It'll be a slow but steady rise. Slow because their are many ways to play it. But rising in value because of the misprint. Man I still can't believe I missed Pirates Curse too! Dammit! 🤮
Great video Jeremy! You have so many heavy hitters on the system man! Very cool to see how much some of your bigger ones are going for haha! Awesome stuff brother! Keep it up!
Thanks Steve! Some of these completely shocked me. 😱 I still can't believe how some of these games prices have been shooting up! Glad you liked the video! Definitely take care of your sealed copy of Monster Boy! I know your happy you have that one sealed! Lol!
Had the opportunity to get many of these games.. But my collection is way too big for my small room anyway. I got both bloodstained curse of the moons and shantae half genie heroe (not limited edition version, sadly regular version got huge restock) . Most expensive Switch game I ever seen is Shantae's Pirates Curse going for around $500 or more.
The Darius Console edition sold for €60 + shipping, so if its selling for US$80 it hasn't really gone up in price... It was an expensive release to begin with.
I picked up No More Heroes 1 and 2 from my local Best Buy this past weekend. Turns out they had copies in the back. I only knew because they were listed on their website.
Yeah I try to grab those games from those developers! They do go up fast! Glad I grabbed Prinny 1 and 2. I also have another upcoming Prinny release pre-ordered! 😁👍
Prices in the US are wierd. In the UK you can get Langrisser direct from NIS Europe for like 30 bucks. Y's LOD is regularly available at Amazon UK for about 50-60 bucks. Samarai Shodown is about 48 bucks. Other games you mentioned are much cheaper too. Edit: XC2 Torna is going for £27 at Argos. I would sell that copy and import a UK copy. Seriously that price will not hold. Sell it!
About Langrisser 1 and 2. Cool that you got them. I got the CE on that. This is to me a hidden jem. Not many people knows about it. There are 5 parts. What we see presently is 2 parts. The other 3 is on the Sega Saturn. Those 3 only come out in Japan. Since you just got a Saturn, you could get the other 3 parts now.
Thanks for letting me know, I picked up the action replay so now I can play Japanese games. I have a Japanese game shining force and the holy arc. Even though I can't read Japanese I tried it out and it worked great. Thanks for the info on the Saturn. I'll have to look into the rest of the Langrisser games. Awesome you got the collectors edition of Langrisser 1 and 2!
@@WARTRAINWINS Shining Force 3 is a 3 part series. The US only has part 1. The other 2 is in Japan. There are so many cool Saturn games in Japan but never come out here. Check Policenaut. It's a bit outdated but the story is pretty good. It's directed by Kojima. Sorta like Blade Runner meet Cyberpunk 2077 video game.
@@WARTRAINWINS Sega Saturn is king on fighting games. Many Sega Saturn owners know about it. The 6 buttons controller for the Sega Saturn are the best for fighting games. The dpad plus 6 buttons layout which resembles the arcade are perfect for fighting games. The dpad are soft and curved. You wont fine a better dpad than the Sega Saturn one. You could play all day playing it without killing your thumb and getting blisters from it. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo dpad suck in fighting games. The only one that can have a fighting chance is the dpad of the SNES but the layout of the 4 buttons and shoulder buttons are not really good for fighting games.
I'm happy to have all the games from this list that I'm actually interested in playing: Ys 8, Langrisser, Half-Genie Hero, Torna and the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 CE. I remember a few months ago there was a local game collecter selling the bulk of his collection on FB Marketplace, and he had Curse of the Moon for about $100. I ultimately passed it up because I told myself I was happy with a digital copy of the game, but now I sort of regret it lol. I think it would have been nice to have just for the collecting value.
Awesome, sounds like you have a killer collection! Yeah I know the feeling. I regret not grabbing some games for the Collection that have now skyrocketed. It always hurts but unfortunately that's how it goes!
Thanks man, I really appreciate it! Its such a cool system to collect for, their are so many games and they just keep coming. A ton of the games get pretty limited print runs, and with it being such a successful console the games will demand high prices. Especially years from now! Thanks for the comment brother! 😁👍
@@WARTRAINWINS Thanks for the reply. Yes there are so many different games for the system that it makes it such fun to collect. All the indie games and such. I always try to get the Nicalis games when i see them because most become sout after and all the extras that are included. Anytime i see a notification from your channel i watch immediately. Your channel will grow in the future and keep up the great work
Thanks again Josh! Yeah I agree. Nicalis is doing some impressive things. I recently picked up Ikaruga from Nicalis's website! I was stoked when I found out it had a physical release, especially when I seen it was released through Nicalis! 😁👍
I'm mostly collecting (physical only) for PS4 and Switch, and it's always convenient when a game releases on both platforms, where most of the time, the PS4 version is cheaper and easier to get. The Switch has the added bonus of being able to play on the go and the convenience of plug in (the game cart) and play (PS4 games always require a long annoying installing/updating process and needs disk space). I'm a little confused on Dragon Quest Builders, it's as if they only made 100 copies and silently released them without any announcement, or maybe I missed all that, but I didn't know about it until I saw the after market prices. Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom had various releases, which lowered it's value. I couldn't sell a Japanese copy for regular price, so it's losing value (especially with the PS5 release). Ys8 had a reprint and PS5 release, so there's that.... River City Girls recently had a double pack release with both games on one cart for a super cheap price in Japan (with English on the cart). The people scalping Torna The Golden Country are just evil, Nintendo needs to do a second print run yesterday
Yeah Torna definitely needs a reprint. Doubt it'll get one though. Yeah some of these have definitely dropped in value since I put out this video and some are still holding wich will most likely stay that way. I picked up y's 8 on PS5. That definitely dropped the value for sure. Like you said same with River City Girls. Eventually they will most likely slowly go up in the future. Long after it's out of retail circulation. The Switch being portable and most games actually being on the cartridge will definitely have a collectable future unlike alot of New PS5 and XBOX SeriesX games not having the games on the disc, like Modern Warfare 2. I was disappointed when I bought the physical copy of it and had to download the whole game. Eventually that will be most games, unfortunately!
Idk, the bubble is nuts. There are some games I want but the prices have went way up. Especially Vita now cuz of PSN dropping for Vita PS3 and PSP. Im actually on my PS3 buying some digital games that will dissappear that were only on network or are way too expensive for physical. I grabbed Tronne Bonne, klonoa, and Gaia Seed so far
Glad I got Shantae: Half-Genie Hero - Ultimate Edition at or I guess right after launch for around $40 new though I have opened and played it. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 I noticed even the regular edition is like $80 used now. I got it right after launch sometime before Christmas 2017. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna The Golden County I got in July 2019 from Walmart and opened it. I already installed the DLC code for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 inside the case as I meant to replay Xenoblade Chronicles after Torna the Golden County. I have yet to actually play Torna the Golden County itself though. Even though I opened the game and used the code inside for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 I am glad I got it when I did even though it was an impulse buy. I will say Code of Princess EX was one I was wanting to get for $30 back two years ago but completely forgotten about it so shame to see it's $100 used now. I might go digital on that as I don't mind digital even though I prefer physical. I wonder what other games could become rare outside of Limited Run Games? For example Astral Chain is one I plan to get in about 2 weeks. That's one I can see possibly getting some what pricey as I hear it's great but seems to be a hidden gem among the Switch that not many may know about. If that's the case I feel demand could go up eventually.
Majority of these game are not worth the price and are artificially inflated. Retro games are usually sought after because they were good or just plain rare. Now anything with a Limited tag is automatically worth more. Also switching from physical to digital is not helping the pricing situation. And the whole chip shortage, is only adding fuel to the fire.
Hey man love this vid. Im collecting for switch aswel having so much fun . Prefer english pal copys but if the price diffrence is very big i dont mind an other region if it plays in english . Had to branch out for some asian exclusives so i dont mind em . Have a nice day
Thanks, I appreciate it! Glad to here your enjoying collecting for Switch too. It's definitely fun and addictive, lol! Their are just so many different types of games on it and so many games that are obscure and get small print runs. You could have 10 Switch collectors and each one would have games that the others never seen or heard of, couldn't find, or missed it while it was available. It's so dam fun collecting for it and playing games wherever! Thanks for watching, always appreciated! 😁👍
Yeah its insane how the price skyrocketed since Pyra and Mithra were announced for Smash Bros. It's definitely expensive online. I would keep stopping in gamestops looking for a pre-owned copy that someone traded in not realizing how valuable it has become.
I just was in a Gamestop tonight and found Langrisser 1 and 2 on Clearance for $36.99 Since they open new copies when they only have one, to put on the shelf, it was open. Still new though so I grabbed it since the games sells for over 100 online. You never know what you'll find sometimes.
I'll definitely keep an eye open for those. I tried to get fairy tale when it released on Switch but since I didn't preorder one I couldn't find it anywhere.
I picked up all the dragon ball games on switch and there deluxe editions sells for over 100 because dlc is locked content ...well I stop buying physical games because of resellers so I do digital 6.99 vs 300.00 on a game plus I find best deals at flea markets and that bought many gaming consoles and games example ps3 launch system with 2 controllers and 30 games for 30dollars I play the games I'm not a reseller its wrecking gaming many looking to emulators some emulators can play xbox and ps3 now and some can do ps4 which means all console games will all be on it there is emulators that have 90k games and is 49.99 and many drop the arcade sticks in empty cabinets and make a meme or arcade mechine at home for literally 300.00 dollars and that is cheaper then console and all the games on the system ...
Cool, yeah I agree with resellers wrecking things. I almost never sell anything. I bring it up in the videos for others that do but honestly I hate reselling espessially when new games or collectors editions get bought up by scalpers and sold at 5 times retail to people like us that just want to play the game or just want to own it for nostalgia or just want to have it in our collections. Im definitely for emulation though. I have some most of the Nes and Snes libraries on my mini systems, i modded them almost immediately when i got them years back but I still do pick up physical for those collections. Mostly for Nostalgia. Awesome you look for deals at flea markets. I do a lot of pickup videos to share pickups with my friends I have here on UA-cam, other collectors. I don't really have much for flea markets by me but I do go to Thrift stores, yard sales, Pawn shops, and occasionally get lucky at Gamestop. The employees at my local Gamestop always let me know when they get retro stuff and see if I'm interested in it before they ship it off to be sold on their website, since they don't sell it in stores anymore! I have a lot of retro systems that I got for cheap myself and have built like PS2, PS3, Wii, WiiU, Xbox, and Xbox 360 libraries mostly from Thrift Stores for dirt cheap. For me that is the most satisfying. Finding it for cheap and the thrill of not knowing what you'll find! Thanks for the comment! I always like hearing about how others collect or their gaming habits! 😁👍
I just got my copy of Darius collection console for the PS4 today it came with a metal pin saying SAGAIA and a cool postcard. I am really getting into pre ordered video games and mostly collector’s editions! I look at it like an investment 😂 lol one I love! And all the SHANTAE games are cool and the Monster boy and R-Type and Legend of Mana remake and don’t forget Saga Frontier!!! All physical games no no and I mean none digital games whatsoever!!!!!
Hell yeah man, nice! I preorder alot of games myself haha! I just can't help myself, lol! Those are Definitely all great games that you named. I definitely will be getting the Mana, the new R-type and the Saga game for sure! These are definitely games that have the potential for value. They are Great games and great franchises for sure! Yeah its really cool that the Darius game comes with a pin and postcard! I love the extras! Excellent comment man, enjoy growing that collection! 😁👍
Imore gives a good list of upcoming Switch physical releases. I also check limited run, playasia, and strictly limited games to see what they have. With these websites you can stay pretty up to date! Hope this helps!
It's very likely. It already went up in value quite a bit and that version is only on Switch. As long as it remains an exclusive the price will definitely keep rising. I bought it when it 1st launched to play, I wish I would have kept it sealed or bought a 2nd copy cuz a sealed copy has really gone up in value and is definitely going to keep going up! Thanks for Chouteau the video, always appreciated! 😁👍
Yeah I here that! Originally I bought it digitally on Switch when it first released. Later on I got lucky and found it at Best Buy physically for like $35. Crazy how valuable it became. If I didn't get it back then I would be playing it on Xbox too cuz on Ebay a sealed copy is $150 plus! Smart move! 😁👍
Lol, yeah I caught that while I was editing, lol! 🤣 I decided to leave it in! I'm honestly shocked, your the 1st person to mention it. I was waiting for someone to say something, I got to be honest I was a little disappointed Noone caught that till now or at least mentioned it! Haha 🤣👍
Only about 3 to 4 years away from that 3DS - 2013 -2023 = 10 years Wii U - 2012 - 2023 = 11 Years Wii - 2006 - 2019 = 16 Years Nintendo Switch - 2017 - 20?? The years seem to be getting shorter between eShop shut downs.
lmao, should we keep going?????? (just pre ordered big fable from limited and inmost from super rare and my local gamestop holding y’s viii for me) YEAH I GOT A PROBLEM
Attack on Titan 2 The Final Battle...just kicking myself not getting it for $30. Had a chance ughh. It's fine though. I'm at 585 total Switch Games NA region, so I got plenty of heavy hitters out of the way. Even have EVERY single LRG for Switch so far. Can't believe Switch has heavy hitters already haha!
Hey man these are the prices that were current at the time, like it or not.. Im like anyone else, I have to pay the same prices. I never said I liked it but its unfortunately just the reality of it. I strictly collect, I don't flip games at all. Honestly I despise resellers cuz many of times to get a physical copy or a new product of something I really wanted I have to pay triple the price or even higher. Any game I get or show in videos I paid retail or high reseller rates. I understand where your coming from but I doubt my small channel is having any impact on gaming prices. I just relay what the current estimated value of something is or what I paid at the time for others like myself that want to know what the prices or rising prices of games are before they get priced out.
These were the prices at the time. Some of them have changed but some have retained their value or went up. It's always a gamble! But you usually can't go wrong with RPGS.
@@OrphanCrippler1 lol, I definitely may be deluded. I collect both modern and retro. I keep all my games in the gameye app. I've watched some of them hold the same value for years. Retro is still the absolute way to go. Cardboard game boxes definitely hold a unique value over modern games. But some modern games hold value being a small print run or Noone was picking them up and then they're sought after! I'm not saying your wrong.
@@WARTRAINWINS ur not deluded, dont listen to the hater, one day these games on your list might triple in price. All youre doing is speculating and seeing which games are causing the biggest price ripples. If thats deluded i must be fucking insane
No. Celeste is 35$
Try preordering from Gamestop.
I just bought a sealed copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna on eBay. Torna was $73 and 2 was $69. August 2022.
VGP and PNP games has them for $80 and $60 CAD (61 and 46 USD) before tax as of Aug 2022
Bayonetta one physical copy is quite rare and expensive as well.
It sure is. I recently offered a seller $400 for the sealed Japanese climax edition it comes in. He was asking $465 and turned down my offer with no counter offer. Its a lot in money, so it was hard for me to justify spending that much. I may regret not just pulling the trigger while I had the money in the future. 😅
Is released again october 2022 worldwide
I just can't figure out what line they are.
those are really great Nintendo Switch games WarTrain I can't believe some of those games cost a hundred dollars or more
Thanks Jeff, yeah its crazy some of the prices.
i can totally see nintendo re stocking xeno2 but idk bout the dlc tho
Always good to know which games to keep an eye out for, great heads up,real badass brotha.
You remind me alot of Benzo8686. His videos arent around anymore but he always had solid videos similar to you etc. Great content, keep it up!
Thanks man! 😁👍
Very good list, im glad i was able to use your videos as reference in my early startup in youtube for my switch collection hunt. Awesome list Jer

Great list, brother. Wow, I can’t believe how much some of those games are worth after just a short amount of time. Cheers M
@@WARTRAINWINS Yeah I hear ya... Been dropping in from time to time to watch some content ever since you dropped by my channel😁
Should mention Skylanders Imaginators and Attack on Titan 2 Final battle as those two weren’t limited releases and regular US retailer releases
Both sold like 200k copies according to VGchartz and they go for 150+
In terms of the games you mentioned, here are the ones I have.
Darius Cozmic Collection, both Arcade and Console
Celeste
River City Girls(Japanese version, sadly)
Yooka Laylee(Not the first release)
Ys VIII(European Version)
Lol!
I could have bought the DLC new for $20 for a couple months and never pulled the trigger! Now I’m kicking myself haha
Lol, I know you are man! Yeah look it up on Ebay, you'll puke for not pulling the trigger. It's really hard to gauge this stuff.
Nice, Definitely a nice score!!! You got lucky, always worth checking online! Both killer games! 😁👍
Prinny 1&2 are going up I say the atlus and Nis games always seem to go up in price fast as do the Atelier games 🤔
Yeah I try to grab those games from those developers! They do go up fast! Glad I grabbed Prinny 1 and 2. I also have another upcoming Prinny release pre-ordered! 😁👍
I bought a black spine used copy of Darkiders today at GS for $27. It was used but in very good condition. I couldn't believe my eyes.
Man, that's a great find! I still haven't seen even 1 copy of it new or used in stores. Only the regular one. Thats awesome, thanks for sharing!
LOVE that Octopath Traveler music goin on :)
Thanks! Yeah I love the soundtrack! Cool that you noticed! 😁👍
Great content man. Always love watching your videos. I have a switch collection also and hope to build on it. Keep up with the videos
I picked up
y's 8 on PS5.
Absolutely crazy times right now! Video games are a treasure trove but when will it end? Is the bubble close to bursting yet?
Yeah, definitely a great pickup. I did the same. I bought it and opened it to play it. It was definitely worth it! 😁👍
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime (Super Rare Games) is crazy expensive on ebay also!
Yeah, definitely wish I had that one, lol! 😁👍
From your list, only missing Samurai Shodown. Guess I'll have to watch that one now!
wow if u said that u dont know what is expensive on switch xd he dont said the most expensive games, Like F&F, Shantae PC, Lovers, Worms
Dragon Quest Builders was selling very cheaply (under £20) new and sealed in eBay UK as recently as April 2021.

I'm trying to get Xenoblade Chronicles 2 but I can't find it anywhere and it's so expensive online.
Yeah its insane how the price skyrocketed since Pyra and Mithra were announced for Smash Bros. It's definitely expensive online. I would keep stopping in gamestops looking for a pre-owned copy that someone traded in not realizing how valuable it has become.
I just was in a Gamestop tonight and found Langrisser 1 and 2 on Clearance for $36.99
Since they open new copies when they only have one, to put on the shelf, it was open. Still new though so I grabbed it since the games sells for over 100 online. You never know what you'll find sometimes.

😁👍
I still have that shantae half genie hero I found at gamestop on clearance.
daaang the American market is insane! TORNA is still available here (SEA) for srp 😂
great video, thanks for the suggestions.
Thanks, no problem!
the collectors edition of river city girls sealed is well over 100 dollars. a few hundred
Is there anywhere I can find list of upcoming short print games thanks in advance
Imore gives a good list of upcoming Switch physical releases. I also check limited run, playasia, and strictly limited games to see what they have. With these websites you can stay pretty up to date! Hope this helps!
@@WARTRAINWINS thank you really appreciate it I’m a new subscriber love the videos keep up the great work
The bubble gon pop inna few years
It's very possible! If it does I'll be their to grab some of the games that for me now are just too much $ to purchase. 😁
Please do. There are a bunch of physical games I want to get, but are currently very expensive.
Do you think street fighter ultra 2 will be worth alot sealed in the future?!
😁👍
Jajamaru English collection is going up
I'll have to check it out! Good find! 😁👍
Tell me that you have a new video on this subject dropping real real soon...🧐
Since you really want to see one, I drop one today!
@@WARTRAINWINS nice 👌
Crazy curse of the moon is so expensive I got it for free download on xbox
Yeah I here that! Originally I bought it digitally on Switch when it first released. Later on I got lucky and found it at Best Buy physically for like $35. Crazy how valuable it became. If I didn't get it back then I would be playing it on Xbox too cuz on Ebay a sealed copy is $150 plus! Smart move! 😁👍
Attack on TEEN titan. That is hilarious. I hope that was an intentional joke. Teen titans are like DC super heroes. Attack on Titan is anime.
Lol, yeah I caught that while I was editing, lol! 🤣 I decided to leave it in! I'm honestly shocked, your the 1st person to mention it. I was waiting for someone to say something, I got to be honest I was a little disappointed Noone caught that till now or at least mentioned it! Haha 🤣👍
Dragon quest builders doom 2016 are rare
Yeah I couldn't believe that on doom but it makes sense! I'm glad I grabbed them both, lol! These will be in a future video! 😁👍
@@WARTRAINWINS also oninaki
Not in the uk there not both are under there release cost on second hand stores and eBay
all of them are listed on the eshop
they are worth little until it closes down
Only about 3 to 4 years away from that
3DS - 2013 -2023 = 10 years
Wii U - 2012 - 2023 = 11 Years
Wii - 2006 - 2019 = 16 Years
Nintendo Switch - 2017 - 20?? The years seem to be getting shorter between eShop shut downs.
Also wonder boy
Past tense of the verb to see is saw. I saw your video last night.
😀

Anyone know if code of princess ex japanese version has English?
I missed code of princess.
I think the recently released ninja turtles cawabunga collection soon will be hard to find and also jo jo bizarre fighting
I agree. Seems like all tge JoJo Games go up in price. Same with the Turtle Beatemup games. Basically all of them. 😁
Wow man, you have a sick collection! 🔥
I would love to check your collection out man! Every LRG and 585 games thats no joke! AWESOME BROTHER! 😁👍
The only thing here is collectors like you are artificially overvaluing all the games...
Pls stop..
A lot of these games are available on Amazon for less than 50$.
That doesn't help their clickbait titles and delusions though lol
These were the prices at the time. Some of them have changed but some have retained their value or went up. It's always a gamble! But you usually can't go wrong with RPGS.
@@WARTRAINWINS If you think modern games are an investment, you are again...deluded.
I think it is pronounced Da-rye-us not Darius
