13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is the game i didnt know i needed. I just got it for the Switch not knowing what to expect but its turning out out to be one of the favorites.
Another US Atelier game I recommend is Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists. For some reason, the PS4 version is stupid-rare but the Switch version hasn’t gone up that high yet.
Honorable mentions goes to Salt & Sanctuary Drowned tome edition that now goes for upwards to 200$ on ebay. I bought the game a couple years back for just 30$, now look at the price. damn kudos to anyone still with their physical copy lol
For the Grandia HD Collection, I would suggest getting the Asian release by Arc System Works that contains English rather than the Limited Run release. Play Asia sells new copies of that version for $49.99 USD and they have some in stock right now. I highly recommend this release for Switch owners who are JRPG fans because Grandia and Grandia II are true classics of that genre.
@@NYCJoeBlack The reason I suggest getting the Arc System Works over the Limited Run version is that the latter is much more expensive and it has worse cover art. The price on the Limited Run version is always high, but it also fluctuates and I've seen it go as high as $250 at times.
@@ophidianmind333 - Wow! That is way too much, but I only buy American released games. Rarely do I buy Imports unless the probability of a US version is extremely unlikely. A few Square-Enix games are like that.
@@ophidianmind333 - I checked eBay listings for the Limited Run Games version of Grandia HD Collection just now and the highest I’ve seen is around $110 before shipping. It seems like there are plenty of listings and within some of those listings, the seller somehow has multiple copies of the game for sale.
@@NYCJoeBlack As I said, the price on that one really fluctuates a lot. If you want a copy of it, that is on the relatively lower end of what it goes for so now wouldn't be a horrible time buy. Though if you wait a few months, it could shoot up in price. But if you waited a few months after that, it might go down again considerably. Though you're probably going to be paying at least $100 no matter what unless you are okay with getting a cart without a box. I'd much rather just pay $49.99 for a new complete copy that is perfectly playable in English, but imports don't bother me in the least. It is fine if you have a preference for a domestic release, but you're going to be paying a lot more to get a copy.
*Thanks to your last video I looked for the Super DragonBall game everywhere and it was used or expensive so I took a chance and went to Bandai Namcos official store site and was able to buy 2 copies, I posted here and when I went back they were sold out, I got the last two official copies form the source.*
Definitely going to pick up 13 Sentinels, already have it on PS4 but I’d much rather play it on Switch, just waiting for that slight price drop that I’m sure is to come.
I can’t stress this enough, 13 sentinels is guaranteed to become a rare collectors game from that fact it’s an Atlus game but even more so the fact of how underrated it is and unfortunately undersold.
Just to be clear, Ganondorf is a costume in Diablo 3, not a character. It's unique among Diablo 3 variants because of amiibo support. Basically you can open a treasure dungeon once a day. I think the fact that it plays well handheld is a big part of why it's getting rather pricy.
It's also the ONLY version of Diablo 3 that can be played OFFLINE and local play support (with others or with multiple accounts on 1 system). The game has a lot most games on Switch have yet to try.
@@saturnfirefly3714 That's not true. All console versions have offline play as well as local co-op. The PC is the only version that requires always online play. It's also the only version that hasn't been hacked to hell and back, so...

What about Super Mario 3D All Stars. They even said it was physically being sold for a limited time. Will that go up in value? All games are on cart too with an awesome menu
But people don't want that collection! It's available everywhere as we speak and has always been available since release. People just don't want that version! Speedrunners that would have paid a lot for it avoid it like plague because it's the wrong version of the game and it's also emulated aka not really a switch game. Nintendo screwed that pooch with that one. The original versions are miles better even tho it's not HD. Get that instead of this emulated version.
This is the difference of how long a game is made vs how many are made. Nintendo made more in the first run of that game then most third parties will though a game's life.
“the graphics aren’t the best on the Nintendo Switch or even the PlayStation” The graphics for Ryza 2 are actually gorgeous on a PS5. Easily one of my favorite games on the system so far.
The problem with Diablo 3 is that you cannot play it if you don’t make a first time update. So if the Switch Servers go down, you can no longer play it unless you have the downloaded data
One thing about buying off Amazon (don't get me started on Ebay) that I have noticed, is that often vendors sell items from other regions. Since the Switch is region-free, this is not the end of the world, but as a collector it can be frustrating. Unfortunately there is no way to know what you will get until it arrives.
I'd actually say Amazon is worse than ebay in that regard. At least on ebay, you can see pictures of what you're buying if you buy from private sellers. For the big sellers, they often have the region in their product description or the "item specifics" section. If it's not listed, then just look at other listings until you find what you want. With amazon, it's usually just one listing for all sellers and you "get what you get" so you can get screwed over easily. The only thing Amazon has on ebay is it's easy return system, but ebay has a money back guarentee too so it's not even that bad. Edit: and if the private sellers don't have a picture of the back of the switch case (where the UAE marking is), you can send them a message and ask to see a picture of the back which a lot of sellers will respond to.
Really? I always choose the option on amazon that shows the NA version but if it's a shot in the dark I've been super lucky so far, I'll take that into consideration next time so I appreciate the info

OJ....I really liked this series of videos. Thanks for the knowledge!
I'm surprised Samurai Showdown wasn't mentioned. It's already rare!
Side note: There's a rare copy of a Tiger Heli collection on Play Asia.
Why are you surprised, it's a series.... so there will multiple videos covering a lot of games. It's not "the most rare" or "the most expensive" in any type of order. Just so we are clear.
Amazing video OJ, Love this series so much.. Keep up the great work 👍

When you say “loose copy” it makes me think you’re talking about cart-only. I presume you mean just a boxed preowned version?
Games on the list that I have
Dying Light
Diablo 3
Atelier Ryza(US Version)(As a bonus, I have the sequel)
Grandia HD(Limited Run Edition)
Witcher 3
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2
Super Mario 3D World
Bro dying light was $25 at Walmart I didn’t sleep on getting it. Jesus no way golf story is $150 my god

I’m rushing to buy it now!!!
Yo OJ! Would love to see a more detailed analysis of the latest trailer and battle system from you. Love your enthusiasm for Xenoblade!
Dragon builders 2 physical copy is a headache to get 😅
Good title selection, OJ!
u can get those games in playasia alot cheaper than ebay
good video looking forward to more of these
what about labyrinth of refrain: coven of dusk? I see a lot of games that many people bought... but im thinking of the ps2 games like haunting grounds that legit no one bought and turned out to be a sleeper good game and so its like 1 grand for it now.
Every time someone says “buy this because in xxxx years this will be worth…” I throw up a bit in my mouth.
Klonoa games collection on Switch is gonna be super rare (releases July 2022). Would also love to see a video of what could come to NSO + online, especially after Octo Expansion was announced. I'm pretty sure we may see Bowser's Fury added to NSO + in the future.
Love these vids from you.
I have a feeling most limited run games will be $$$$$ in the future.
The problem is that if you dont pre order or dont jump on them super quick, they sell out extremely fast, so it's really hard to get a lot of them before re sellers sell them for triple the price, but if you can get them at a normal price that's usually a good investment
Diablo 3 used to be 120 to 150. I think k they just had a restock bc it is down now.
Tony hawk is complete on cartridge? Not in the eu....
Essence, what do you think of Mario & Sonic Olympics Tokyo 2020?
