Can I be honest? I've never really liked Smoked Turkey Legs. They're always kinda dry, all you taste is smoke, and you always have all this stuff in them when you take a bite; tendons, bones, etc. I've always wondered why nobody ever did anything else with Turkey Legs. So when I decided to do some I wanted to GRILL them. I went to Google for idea and at the time, couldn't find any search results for grilled turkey legs. I figured I couldn't be the only one looking for something different to do with these things, so I decided to shoot a video! I hope you liked the video. But more importantly, I hope you try it! If you do, please come back and tell me how it went.
glad you’re here man, welcome! Any questions or advice, topics you’d lie to see let me know. I just posted a great video for beginners to grilling that covers the 4 principles every beginner needs. It’s a great one to watch.
I love this! I’ve never thought about wrapping them in bacon, but you can bet it’s happening next time! Tendon removal and brine were both great tips too. Thanks bud, great video!
I dig the bacon and honey garlic rub idea! Oh yeah, looks amazing Ron! Looks like we run with the same crowd! Thanks for sharing brother! Weber Kettles rule!
Hey Krista! Any friend of my sister’s is a friend of mine. Thanks for the kudos! And by the way, if you like seeing Turkey getting shaken up I have a whole playlist full of such videos, lol! It’s called “Turkey On The Grill. Don’t be a stranger friend.
Scott that meant the world to me the last time you blessed me with that comment, and it means even more now. This is a grind, man. Those little touches are all extra steps and moves and adjustments that have be made, which adds a lot of time to both the filming and the editing process. It's great to have that effort recognized brother, thank you. The numbers? They've definitely improved since your last visit. I'm hoping if I stay on my grind and just remain consistent it'll come, man. Thanks again bro.
Hey Ron those turkey legs looked amazing coming off the grill going on the cutting board! Beautiful color and I'm sure they were delicious! Man....your videos are great...keep up the sensational work Bud!! Cheers!
Ron, I found you through the FB group a few months ago. Your filming and editing has come on a bundle, it's really good now. You have a great presence on camera, and are clearly great at BBQ. Keep at it man, this channel will blow up at some point.
@@RonOnTheGrill Making your day, made my day 😁 I teach my kids, it's nice to be nice. Keep at it man. One day I'll have a proper go at YT, but for now it's not possible. I'm a massive BBQ nut and I love your stuff. Proud owner of a Broil King Keg for my low and slow 😋.
Thank you friend! Yeah those are some of my favorites. Bone Sucking Sauce is a great all-purpose rub you can use on anything, and all of the Weber Seasonings are great.
HELLO! I actually have turkey legs in the freezer so I could do this. BUT I dont eat bacon but I could do it without. WOW those turned out great Ron. And look at YOU up to 851 subs? WHATTT? Doing awesome over there. Have a great week
Thanks UNK! YT didn't push this one as much as I wanted them to. I'm going to go back and see if I can improv the thumbnail or something. But man these things were off the CHAIN!
I liked that at the end where you had your playlist up in the corner and pointed to it. I want to know how to do that. I always just say its linked below but I know people dont go check the description much.
That’s the end screen. You can set that after you upload the video. You can set it to show a specific video, more than one, playlists, lots of choices. You can also choose where it shows up on the screen. As I’m looking at my screen I put it on the right corner, so I know it’ll show up over my left shoulder. Then just point to it in the video. :)
I’ll have to try that next time! I was worried the bacon might prevent enough heat from getting to that skin for it to crisp up like it should. Moisture definitely wasn’t an issue though, with it being dark meat AND brined. Thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it!

Thanks for the good vibes my man! Copperhead Nation!!
Unique approach as usual. I am going to give this a try.
My wife said they were the best turkey legs she’s ever had, and I have to agree. I wasn’t a fan until I tried it this way.
Great job Ron! Those look amazing!
Thank buddy!
Here from your sister's channel! This is such a cool method to shake turkey up!!

I've said it before, but damn, your production, camera work, and editing is really well done. Especially for such a small channel that isn't monetised

Hey thank you so much man! I've been very deliberately working on that, so your comment means a LOT. Made my day friend.

Those turned out incredible Ron! Beautifully done!
Thanks friend!
Nice! I’m gonna have to try out some of those seasonings you used! 👌🏾

Great video Ron, I don't really like turkey legs but will have to give these a shot!
Thanks bro! Man I didn’t either, which is why I wanted to do something different. You have to try it man. They were so good.
Wow that is so smart to cut the tendons out I don't like those things either.. brilliant..those looked amazingly good 😋👍
SIL I love you for always supporting me! Thank you fam.
For sho for sho BIL that's what family should do..I see where you're headed and I'm here to support 👍
Best turkey leg I ever had!!🤜🤛
Thank you baby! ❤️❤️
Turkey legs are delicious, if cooked properly like this!
Facts, man! These were literally the best Turkey legs my wife and I ever had.
Cool…thx. Ron
You’re welcome Buddy!
Yummy recipe
Thanks!

Turkey bacon will work...
true! But you could leave the skin on and skip the bacon altogether too! Cook them hot and fast and they’ll be delicious.
Awesome
Thanks UNK! YT didn't push this one as much as I wanted them to. I'm going to go back and see if I can improv the thumbnail or something. But man these things were off the CHAIN!
Yummy 😋😋😋
Can one substitute turkey with chicken? Turkeys are not readily available where I come from...
Of course! and they’d be a lot less work too. no need to remove the skin or cut out any tendons.
@@RonOnTheGrill awesome! Will give it a try. Thanks
I do brine a lot of things. But I'd never heard of the baking soda. Do you use that for everything or just the turkey?
I don’t use it on everything. I use it mostly when I’m doing Ribs hot and fast, but I’ll use it on anything that’s thick or lean.
Looks good, man!
Thanks bro!

Looks amazing. But I would have kept that skin on. Creates more moisture and more flavor. To the turkey.
